- It’s been eight years since The Big Three were born, and there’s friction in the Pearson household. We see the early signs of disconnect between Kevin and Randall, and we see that a decade’s worth of marriage and child-rearing has taken its toll on Jack and Rebecca’s marriage. Kate wrestles with weight insecurities and did Tess just call Miguel “Grandpa”?? In this episode, we explore navigating the highs and lows of marriage, sibling dynamics, body image issues, advocating for yourself in relationships, and putting in the work.

Do you know why this podcast is the best one around? It's not only about reliving again one of the greatest TV series of all time but these three amazing human beings are giving a chance to chat with us, fans all over the world, it's absolutely touching and brilliant.
This podcast is bringing me so much joy, because I feel like we still have them..as we did when the show aired. Seeing them together reminds me of how much I've truly missed them! This Is Us was phenomenal on all fronts...casting, acting, writing, direction, production, score...everything!!

I SO agree! There are television shows that come on when you know you’re watching something very special. And these shows are a few and far in between, this is definitely one of them!
The “ home videos, and shaking them up in a box” very much like our memories when we move back on the event of our lives. Brilliant way of doing television.
I can't wait for them to review the episode where Randall and Kate are trying to remember the glitter fight. And how they both remember that day so differently.
One of the BEST quotes of the episode; Annie: "My vice is asthma, his is cocaine" LMAO Absolutely LOVE how Chris & Sterling seem to enjoy making Mandy uncomfortable but I get it, it's awesome! Ms. Moore is a brilliant actress! Go ahead guys, this'll be great. Ah, Tobey & 'show business', what a classy guy & Kate is right, the hat is everything. Okay, I'm just gonna say it, Beth & Randall werre my favorite characters right the very start!! Love you all!
Must agree, this series made me reflect and be more empathetic to my parents and family members rather than being judgmental on their life choices. The situation of Jack’s parents and brother were one of the most impactful part for me. Sometimes we forget our family had a life prior to our existence.

I loved Miguel from day one. I was defending Rebecca and Miguel on all my FB fan discussion groups. I knew time past and they deserve to love. It took years to see the beautiful relationship develop. Rebecca loved Miguel and missed him when he left
This episode is so great. Specially Beth and Rebecca, the way they are not afraid to have the difficult conversations and ask the hard questions, all for the sake of protecting their families. Women in this show are truly amazing. Thank you Susan and Mandy for your wonderful work.

I’m rewatching and crying as though I haven’t seen it before.
So speaking about children/young people in the cast, Niles Fitch and Lyrics Ross had absolutely amazing presence for being as young as they were when the show aired.
This is such a feel-good podcast, just like the show, I love it!
This Is Us really touched people on so many levels. The best show ever The podcast is making me watch it again. Wished Dan won some writing awards. Mandy as well should have been nominated
Rebecca's speech to Jack when he came home late was so helpful in my personal life to finally advocate for myself - as a wife of 26 years and a mom of 5.

I was so enthralled with this show - every week, it just grabbed on to my heart and emotions and held it way past the credits. It is a joy to listen to these three talk about the various scenes and make me look forward to watching the series all over again. I can't do it weekly like I originally did, because I know it drags my emotions through the wringer so know I'd better survive the emotional distress by binge watching. Let me buy more tissues first!

One of the things I absolutely loved about This Is Us is how it showed men learning how to live positive versions of masculinity--and I think that speaks to a lot of men (and women!) who are navigating changing times and a national conversation about "toxic" masculinity. It seems like the actors of this show are really living out these lessons in their real lives as well (can you imagine talking about therapy and disregulation publicly even ten years ago?).

I am loving this podcast such much; it's so awesome to hear you guys reflect on the show and how much it affected you as actors! You talked about the scene with Rebecca and young Kate around food and how much times have changed in our understanding of nutrition over the decades. I was a premature baby at birth, 2 pounds 10 oz in 1953 , and the one thing they fed me was Karo Syrup and water to get me to thrive so my Mom could take me home from the hospital. I was in a special unit for preemies for three months until I gained enough closer to my actual due date to be able to go home. Your discussion around the Karo Syrup made me think of this. I love you all and I miss the show so much!

i agree with Sully - it was sooooo funny! I literally laughed out loud at EVERY.SINGLE.EPISODE. The writing and delivery was brilliant with ALL The characters - even the kids! Literally so real and many things make me laugh. That's why I became the biggest fan as it made me a less serious person and less OCD and more vulnerable.
Can we please have "kate" and "Kevin" on the podcast please specially on episides where it's about them very much ❤️

I'm rewatching for the....hmmmm....5th time? But this time I'm following along with the podcast, There never has been a show that has touched on so may different personalities and showed the true meaning of family with all of its ups and downs. I don't think I'll ever see something again this iconic in my lifetime. Although Fogelman and Olin MUST have something up their sleeves 😉

Jack and Rebecca are my favorite parents and married couple since Charles and Caroline from Little House On The Prairie! Those two couples are the gold standard in my opinion on what kind of marriage I want to have and what kind of parent I want to be!
Sterling I thought I was the only one who loved the Dukes of Hazzard as a kid. Named my bike General Lee. Guess my parents didn’t want to break my heart 😂
My mom married my dads best friend years after their divorce. He was my uncle and then my dad. He called and asked my dads permission. He was my best friend. I lost my Miguel in December and I miss him so much
