Because it must be on its place when car is at inspection. If they noticed that it's not like original your car would not get approval. Now I am using 3" straight pipe with three silencer. (until next inspection)
im not sure why you would do this but hey its different! i just got a stainless steel delete pipe for mine with 3 inch pipe my exhaust is 3 inch pipe also with a 4 inch tip
Why delete the DPF on a D5 they really aren't troublesome... EGR blockoff is mandatory but I'd leave the DPF do it's job. Also what do you mean by program DPF off?
Why does the longer pipe need to be blocked? And why does the right hand tube need to be opened? Does this trick the car into thinking the dpf is still functioning properly?
Juha Juonio Nice, I am going to try it on me car. It is à V70 D5 awd. So its not going in to limp mode withaout program? The car think the dpf is fine and are going to do the after burn.
Thats all great guys but nobody cares about the the emission. You guys think you are soo smart you can "shortcut" the DPF because you dont want to pay a lot of money for a new one. Totaly stupid and irresponsible behavior! If you buy a fucking diesel car because you dont want to spend money on gas at least buy/replace everything in your diesel car as it should. Or buy a gas one maybe it sucks a bit more gas but you dont have to care about DPF, turbo, high pressure pump, injectors and all that shit that cost tons of money and your car running smooth not like an agriculture tractor.

Because I wanted to try that does it work like that. Actually it is too good. In future I make straight pipe.
Hyvä video!
Practically, that pipe you block, leads to that right joint open?
why noy just straight pipe it?
celtic tuning? :)
Temperature sensor U left?
Why need to open right joint and leave it open?
Was the car more silent also?
Because then engine thinks that everything is ok and don't go to limp mode.
Hi, I removed the Dpf as your video, It was turn off in ecu after this, so, Is necesary swicht off the connector pressure sensor ? Thanks
Hello, it's not necessary. That is what was told me one year ago.
Thanks very much¡
how did you program DPF off ? with Vida ?
Tomas Laszlo
It was done at same time when more power was programmed in.

Why to open right joint at 2:33?
Sorry for really late response. It's open so that the engine thinks that all is OK.

Because it breath better without dpf. When dpf is deleted you don't want any trouble codes. Thats why programming it away.
Preventative maintenance. Lower fuel consumption. Better Sound.

Yes, the engine thinks that everything is ok. You must also take off dpf after burning.
Thingumeebob what do you mean with ( you must also turn off the dpf after burn ) ? Can you drive the car without the program?
Juha Juonio ?
Victor Olofsson. Yes you can drive without program that controls dpf after burning.

ok 🚬
@Manamon7even without the DPF, you shouldn’t have black smoke. Black smoke is a bad combustion result.
