I made this to compare how far I have come in roller skating in two years and to see all the progress I have made and you can too!! I've been here since Day1, and all I can say is that, you've improved soooo so much, and I'm so proud of you for that and that you pushed thru the hard days!!! You've inspired so many people to skate, for example, me!! I've been skating since I was little,then took a break,and then I came across your video and I started skating again cuz you made it look so relaxing,and it is! Im kinda sad that I dont have smooth floor around my area,cuz I live in a village,but anytime I'm in town I bring my skates and skate as much as I can. I love you,never give up on your dreams!!

This is inspiring! Just started roller skate 5 days ago. Some days I got lazy to start training
I keep having to remind myself that roller skating is like bowling, or anything else I've ever done in my life. It takes doing it over and over and over again, until it becomes muscle memory. I spent thousands of hours over four years of my life learning how to bowl, and I'll do the same with roller skating.
I've also been following your journey from the start! Found your channel as i was looking for skatepark tips and you popped up. A lot of the places you were at looked familiar and i realized we live in the same area! I have felt so invested in your journey, both skating and life, and have been cheering for you knowing how hard it can be as a local to do what you are doing. Not only that, but I've skated in roller derby for years and had dabbled at the skatepark, but you've helped me be reinspired when i lost the spark.
You are amazing! Thank you for being brave in opening your journey (falls and all) to the world. This local woman is rooting for you in all you do!

Ah i love this!! Started skating like a month ago and today was the first day outside, finally mastering stopping with the toe stop and feeling like my feet did what i needed them to do. Long way to go but loving it. Seeing your journey makes me really happy and motivated ❤

I was thinking of taking a class but after seeing this I’m not wow you are doing good this has encouraged me now to start on my own thank you how many times and how long did you practice well I see you said everyday
What about doing both! 🥰 I wish I had classes near me, but I didn’t, but even now if I did, I would do the class too🙌 it’s not only a good way to learn, but also make new skate friends! I practiced everyday for just over a month before I felt confident! You got this!

@@lindseyskates my phone died when I was replying last week, I’ve been skating since I was 7 but only outdoor roller skating since 2021. When I lived/visited Florida I used to rollerblade outside a lot at sunset so it makes me nostalgic.
I’m 33 now btw, hoping to improve backwards skating this summer and without long gaps between skate sessions !

It's so cool to see how people are so different, so there's no use comparing your progress to other people's progress.
It took me literally one day to master the coffin move, it is currently one of my favorite moves to do. Backwards coffin took longer, but I eventually got it too.
Now I CAN NOT do the compass spin no matter how much I train, it seems like I just don't have the strength to hold it for more than one painful rotation, while yours is so smooth. 🥹
So yeah, some things that take forever for one person to learn might be really simple for somebody else, and then that somebody else finds it very difficult to do something else that you can do. And it's okay!
Great video, made me look back on my own two year journey and all the things I'd swear I would never get and now come so naturally to me 🥰
