I am a musician, age 65, and my hearing started at 18 Hz and the tone in my left ear already stopped unfortunately at 4.000 Hz and my right ear at 9.200Hz😫. I have a ”Violet sound” tinnitus because too much loud music through the years! I can still hear the birds singing and that is nice! Take care out there👍🙂🎷💚!!
I'm with you. Drummer. 53. Tried so hard to protect ears. But like around 3400 it's gone then comes back later. Really weird.
Keep in mind some audio equipment can't actually produce very low frequencies, usually rolling off around 30-20
the same applies to high end, not talking about audio compression usually cut off low and high frequencies
Opus is still lossy compression, so I would expect some kind of both hi- and lo-cut.

I ran 7 different tests one of them with the National Hearing Centre Australia, and I could hear chirping even at 18000 Hz. and a whisper at 20000 Hz. I am stunned!
I have worked construction and been too close to too many explosions too many times for my age. I go to the doctors frequently because I push to hard and am always paranoid over hearing but always do above average. The doctors always soothe that moreso, but this helps ease some too.
I'm 26, and I can hear the 20000 hz sound, but barely and with my headphones at max volume. I can tell with my eyes closed when all the noise stops, but if no one asked me "can you hear that?" I don't think I would notice anything 😅

Fun test. Using the linked tone generator I can hear it from 2 Hz to the end (I had to turn the volume on the site up at the beginning and way, way, down at the higher freq end) but I'll admit that the rhythmic/pulsing sound I'm hearing at the start could be due to my extremely cheap earbuds.

Maybe that’s fine, but I have a few theories since my dad, and two brothers have keener hearing than me…
1- I’m just dumb
2- I did some construction for like 2 years, there were some loud tools
3- I used to go to electronic music concerts in my mid 20s
4- I’ve lived in two countries with different languages, forcing me to unjust my ears
I have noticed that my hearing becomes crystal clear whenever they crack in airplanes… so crisp, muffled are no longer muffled, they become words and descriptive sounds with intention and meaning… so I want that. I was considering getting one of those ear cleansing treatments, allegedly improves hearing.
Good day!

I’m 27. Started hearing at 18Hz and it sounded just like the noise i hear from cars that are multiple blocks away. The sound stresses me out so much. At first I thought it was the sound of a motor so I paused and it went away. 40-60Hz matches the low pitch of the bass from boom cars (also super annoying and stressful).
3400Hz starts to match the pitch of my tinnitus lmao
Either my headphones (Bose NC700) stop playing or my ears stop hearing at 15,000Hz

I hear you there, im 59 and while my hearing range stopped at about 10k my tinitus sure is present at the higher end of the scale.
@Genuine Sorin actually you may find some headphones even cut off at 20khz so it may not be your ears at all. At your age you can have a free hearing test to determine any issues. I am glad your looking out for yourself physically and make time for your well being in mind too.
Nobody has tinnitus, to prove this go under water in a pool then no tinnitus why, because what you here is 5G cell tower radiation. You may be in the shower with the walls all wet and your body all wet then put a very wet towel over you head and it can be super quite.
@@portagepete1 … bruh I still have tinnitus underwater , your dumb

Exactly. The same thing happened to me even with the lower frequencies. It’s possible to feel the pressure starting from about 5 Hz.
I thought I was the only one!! My left ear stared to hurt slightly & my right ear it was like I could hear a heart beat type sound & feeling to it. As soon as I paused the video both ears slowly calmed down!!

it’s due usually to the speaker you’re using and whether the speaker can reproduce those low of a frequency
show off can feel a thing after 1450Hz

On the low end... there is silence, then static comes on ~17k due to the static sound its difficult for me pick out the sound from 17 or 18, but i can hear the distinct wave over the static at 19hz
On the high end I can pick up 17000hz but static makes it really hard again beyond also the clipping between frequencies is really annoying haha.

Same but 13 yr Old
If you can t hear anything below 200Hz it's basically caused by headphone limitations
your headphones are really poor quality
Start in 32 and ends in 15k and something, 15 years old.
If you are hearing the higher frequencies the second time you are probably not hearing the actual sound. During hearing tests its common to continue hearing something when given any que especially a visual one at a timed interval like the video. Also, the speakers in your headphones/speaker have a soft diaphragm that expands and contracts making an audible clicking sound when turned on or off. Try it again and see if you see hearing a click and imagining the sound. Take one headphone out and if you still hear it in that ear , congratulations you've just had an auditory hallucination!

20 Hz on the low end. Almost 12000Hz on the high end for me. I'm 52. So, about average for someone my age. EDIT: With the volume all the way up I can (very faintly) hear something all the way to the end and I know it's not just noise because the sound stops at the end. I would say that I only heard it above 12000 because the volume was maxed-out and I was actively trying to discern sound. I wouldn't have noticed otherwise.
The same age, 19 Hz-14000Hz for me. It's typical range for this age, I believe.
