You never cease to impress on the ingenuity to resolve issues... great solution for the driveline clearance. The ride height and stance/width looks so BA!
Watching you put your shop together, the progression in rigs you've done, how deep you're willing to go, it's nice to see you going after the high dollar rigs that have prevailed as iconic for decades. Broncos, 4runners, FJ40's, 67 to 72 chevy and GM pickups, older Ford pickups, etc. Ever thought about doing a muscle car like a Camaro or a Mustang? Or early Chevelle?
A little BFH is always so rewarding.
Love all the hard work
Great build series
Too bad the clocking ring didn't work out. I don't know if you mounted the drivetrain centered or not. Alot of custom rigs have the drivetrain offset to gain clearance to the front driveshaft. My son's Jeepster with a 5.3,th350 and np205 has the engine crooked with the front over to the passengerside and tcase over to the driverside. Had to do this to fit the big 205 between the narrow frame rails. CV driveshafts don't care if you have multiple angles going on.
Over in the Dayton area they cut trails the width of a Yota... It's called a Full Size Filter!!
Hi Austin. Beautiful work mate. I think my personal opinion to keep the red paint the same on the body. It looks very cool and rustic, tells a story of the vehicle 😊 it would look awesome with fresh suspension and big beefy axles sat underneath it. You can tell a lot of work has been put into the functional components. Just my opinion, keep up youre great work 👍🏼
Looks great i just did all this same stuff pretty much on mine . It looks easy on video lol.
Would look cool if you built rear fender flares similar to the high flares on jeeps. But build it out of tubing and sheet metal. If it tied into a running board … then you could use those as a step to reach a roof rack
You have amazing talent Austin, FJ is looking sick. Finish that thing up and bring it out here to Utah and come crawling in Sand Hollow or Moab.
Not without a duel transfer setup! I live 20 minutes from San hollow!
She's looking good! Thank you.
Nice video as always.
Any hopes for a widebody look on this one?
Yo man! I am from Estonia, you dont even know where it is on the map 😂 But i realy enjoy your vids! Keep on doing what you adore! Its a pleasure to watch you👍
Really enjoying this build series keep the videos coming
very nice project bro,
Looks great and coming right along. Waiting on parts and pieces is killing us all lol. It's a great project just hate... but fully understand... waiting for the next step. It does in the picture look a little bit boxed... like maybe the front could be pushed forward just a bit. Don't think you have any more room in the back to push it out anymore. Just a observation looking at the picture..
7” of up travel is a lot. When I did my last solid axle swap I set it up with 4 up and 9 down and it’s more up-travel then I need. Can’t wait to see what this becomes.
Holy camping rig
Things coming along..nice work man!
This makes me miss mine all put together lol , I need to get moving on mine.🤘🏼
Won't need 🦌 whistles on this thing with those meats humming!! 😅 🍻
Приветствую! Восхищен вашим трудолюбием! Хорошие видео!
great build
Its looking amazing!
Killer stance Man!
Looking great.
Your working it out Rome wasn't built in a daywilill be perfect when your finished as usual 👌
So awesome build for real bro keep up the amazing work and definitely my favorite channel
Hi, looks monster with that 40" and 1 tons, which front and rear diff are you using?
Looking really stout, love the stance.
That front drive shaft seems so close. Will it not move a bit when flexing offroad?
loving it. keep it up, cant wait for the body work
Super cool
Looking great
good stuff sir
Hind sight is 20-20, no reason to redo the crossmember. This thing is gonna be super capable whether the t-case hangs down 2 inches or not.
And besides it’s probably better to have a T-case you know won’t leak and have to build a skid plate for it than to fight with a t-case that won’t seal 😁👍🏼👍🏼
I really like this build.
I'm going to be honest here.
I'm not a fan of 4 wheeling myself BUT I do like the looks of these rigs.
As for the front shaft .. can't you keep the outside diameter and have the inside thicker?
Just a question as i don't know?
Love ya work and all the Toyota's .
Cheers from Sydney Australia 🇦🇺🇺🇲🇦🇺
México Suport 😎
Tons and 40sssss😎
When cutting out the pipe for clearance, should have just used the same piece but flipped it inwards so that it covers the hole completely but it also indents in somewhat for more clearance instead of a flat plate
Came here to also say that
I tried, didn’t fit because of the bend! Plus I wanted thicker steel
You know when austin says building the body , its going to be factory level build toyota .
bro shes lookin sick. if you plan on doing any hardcore stuff id push the rear farther and try to get to 110"
So pretty.
Have you seen or spoken to the new owners of your other builds, are they happy or have they had any issues..
the 40 is going to be sick as dingos balls!
The 2000 Camaro have 2 pice drive shaft that bends u can use to make drive shaft for the jeep
Sweet rig. You’ve come a long way since you started. Your a great fabricator for Toyotas. Will the down travel affect the driveshaft?
I don't think it's a good idea to weaken that tube, but hey I guess it will only be a show car
Lol
👍
🚙
Ni hot weels le llega a este diseño.
those driveshafts will break
The u joints and splines in them are plenty strong, and like he said he can just replace the tube with some thick wall stuff instead.
They will?
Just a genuine question, why would you build an FJ40 just to swap in tons and a chevy v8 when you can find a cj5 for lot cheaper?
Q manera
Such a short wheelbase, transfer case won’t see any action unless there’s some weird terrain imo. Great vid!
With respect, 40s, and no duel transfer case. You won’t get close to full potential!
I'd be worried that the duel transfer cases would be fighting each other. 🤔
Yeah well my driveshaft is already super short, I can’t physically fit dual cases!
wow
When you brought the axles out with the wheel and they were like half your height, i just went "Holy shit"
Those are huge...
😎🍺
You should make it where it can go under water and hold gas cans and toolbox
no

37’s would look better looks like a Tonka Toy. Plus street driving will be better. Unless you plan on trailing it every where… Bigger rubber makes me think of smaller private parts.
"Bigger rubber makes me think of smaller private parts" - that admission makes me think that you think of penises ... a lot
