- I LOVE Emily Henry and I thought it was high time I dedicate a video to her books. I rank and review her four books and talk in depth about why I hated her newest book, Happy Place. I love her other three, Beach Read, People We Meet on Vacation, and Book Lovers, so I was shocked when I really didn’t love the new one. Im glad im not the only one who felt this way about Happy Place. Its my first Emily Henry book and ive heard such good things about it I was looking forward to it and ended up being so disappointed with it

I ended up DNFing Happy Place, even on audiobook it was a snooze.
I read this book and I was SO excited! I read 3/4 of the book before I stopped- super boring so I’m happy others agree!
Awesome vlog ‼️💯💚 So I have only read 2 Emily Henry books one was The People we meet on vacation I ranked it a 3 , and Happy Place I ranked it a 3. They are nice but they have definitely turned me off the romance genre. 😊 I also read Happy Place in 4 hours as I listened to it at 3x speed because I just wanted it to end. 😊

Yes I’m with you! Absolutely hated this book. Couldn’t even finish it but have to go to book club tonight and talk about it. I was wondering if something miraculous happened between halfway through (where I left off) and the end. Thank god I didn’t waste anymore time!
No! The end was the worst part! Absolutely the worst ending I've ever read!

Happy Place is my first Emily Henry read and I am soooooo disappointed.

I couldn’t get through more than half of Happy Place, but Book Lovers and Funny Story captivated me.
I don't get the hype over Emily Henry books - HATED Happy Place. My book club made a really good point - Happy Place isn't really a romance, first and foremost it's really women's contemporary lit - focusing more on changing friendships, with a busted romance thrown into the mix. The majority of us agreed, it would have been a much better book if it had focused only on changing friendships, finding your way, and family expectations. Happy Place was neither.
