  • Improving your accuracy in Dressage tests is a matter of habit. If every time you ride a transition in schooling and consider how long it takes to get a response, you'll start to be more organized and better prepared. The second effect is the horse will respond to you being organized and will listen and respond quicker.
If you only practice riding beautiful transitions, they will be ridden at the right moment to keep it soft, round and engaged but you also need to practice making them at a marker so you get used to making them happen in a moment.
Together with TeQ clothing, I can bring you a great deal on the TeQ tights that I am seen wearing in this set of videos. The tights are super comfortable and the material on the inside thigh and leg really helps when you're trying to sit to the trot, sit a buck, or trying to stay connected when jumping. Buy the tights and get a belt for only $10.00 NZD.

Kirstin Kelly? I recently got a new horse that im getting back to jumping, he has jumped a lot a few years ago. And now that I’m training him, he has a wierd way of doing it. So when I come up to a jump with a nice and smooth canter, and right before he takes off, he kind of stops in mid air, kinda like a rear. And then pushes forward. I get thrown out of the saddle every time. Do you have any tips?🤷‍♀️

If you mean like he stalls on takeoff... like he goes to jump but stalls takes a breath then jumps. That's really hard on your position because the rhythm is interrupted. You need to cluck at the base or even tap him lightly behind your leg with a whip to make him stay forward at the base of the jump and keep your chin up,up,up as the change in pace will make you get left behind so the head up will keep your core strong.
