- Graham Hancock, formerly a foreign correspondent for "The Economist," has been an international bestselling author for more than 30 years with a series of books, notably "Fingerprints of the Gods," "Magicians of the Gods" and "America Before," which investigate the controversial possibility of a lost civilization of the Ice Age destroyed in a global cataclysm some 12,000 years ago. Grahams argument is basically that you can’t rule it out, and the archeologist is saying we have no evidence. Just saved you 4 hours
Yeah that pretty much sums it up, you can appeal to the unknown because it hasn’t been directly disproven with anything but it does mean you’re making an impactful or meaningful thought/statement
An archeologist with hands like he just came back from a beauty salon. Flint dibble is the prime example of woke man child throwing tantrums because people see it different than him. I couldnt watch longer than 30 minutes. What an unbearable manchild.
Shouldn't that be a key indicator of the difference of actual exploring and evidence gathering between both Graham and Dibble. Graham legit broke his own wallet to explore probably 10x more sites hands on than dibble.
Can't rule it out nor can you rule it in based on nothing as a catalyst. Graham has as much evidence for it as aliens or leprechauns.
Jamie, pull up Flint Dibble’s sleeves.
Goddammit 😆
I personally think Flint took Graham to the wood shed during this podcast, but that comment is golden 😂

This wasn't a scientific debate. It was a scientist wasting 4 hours on trying to prove a hack wrong. You can't prove someone wrong when they themselves don't even have any evidence for what they claim. Anyone who gives Hancock any time to speak publicly is doing humanity a disservice.

Whether you work in archaeology or not it will continue to be interesting centuries from now, simply because a lot of people are interested in history, especially ancient history.

Regardless of who wins the argument, most people watching this wouldn't understand how grateful we should be that we can listen to these three people talking for 4 and a half hours with all their life experiences, knowledges, and wisdom, and for free.
What would be better than a debate would be a collaboration. Let the two of them go along with grams team of guys and discovery channel provide a little funding and they can go do some show on investing on the ground together and instead of countering points one could serve as a “reality check” on the other, depending on the scenario and what’s found. But that’s what science doesn’t do. It doesn’t have fun unfortunately. Doesn’t entertain outside of its own sphere. To much childish vitriol, not enough fun.

@@GardenofEdens Your entire comment is written in bad faith. You claim Graham and Rogan just want to believe, while Flint merely wants to educate. Yet during the video Graham presents ample evidence and points to back up his point of view, while Flint refuses (repeatedly) to even consider the points Graham is bringing up, treating them with ridicule and disdain (as he did when Graham started showing examples of underwater monuments). Graham also pointed out how the archeological community (and this smoothly translates to science communities at large) stifled and stomped out any opposition to their maintained views, ignoring evidence from their fellow members who were later proven right. Flint clearly is need much more rock dibbling to do and maybe less woke and more dibbling and have little bit of optimising. Make archeology interesting again. Having Joe as a referee is always good in this kinda exchange of energy , and Jamie is i think lost the most calories!!
This comment is probably even MORE hilarious then this episode. Well done my friend.
This show showed me so much and the conversation was heated at times but warming listening to disagreement’s come together at the end. Great show boys😜💪🏻
Graham looks and sounds very healthy for 73! God bless you sir. What a good podcast!
Rogan is incredibly fair in this debate. I am really impressed because he’s obviously such a huge friend and fan of Hancock but Joe holds Hancock accountable and questions him in the same way as Flint, and is very open to listening to the evidence from both sides.
Nah, goy Jo loves Hancock aliens DMT theories
Graham had no evidence.
@@olemanyounger5040 exactly he even confessed it during the episode.
Pics that "look like" stuff is not evidence ffs, thats exactly whar science is about. There is no "looks like", evidence and conclusions are verifiably testable, if they canr be tested then its a hypothesis. Graham has no evidence
Joe dished some nasty blows to each of them.
Like that one was funny: 1:06:50 "I don't think it's the computer's problem".
Joe must have consumed 50 alpha brain tablets before this episode
Hahahahahahahahahahahaahagahahahahha
Plus elk meat and some lions Mane mushrooms
10 pieces of neurogum throughout
He boofed them for max absorption.
At least
I suggest you to debate about the Barabar "caves" in India. It would be interesting to hear Flint Dibble debate this.
It’s so good to have the CZcams comments back 😂
I came here from Spotify just for the comments and that was the best decision I’ve ever made
The whole podcast was HamCock crying about how mean the other big boys are to him. Mean while Mr.Pebbles is bringing the science :D
Must have a boring life.
Me too!!! lol flint is a pip squeak
@@royaldesignpythonsorionjon720 HamCock got DIBBLED
exactly lol. i listen to these at 5am when I go for a walk with my dog,. I really feel grateful
I got about 17 seconds into the interview on Spotify, saw the Indiana Jones hat and immediately closed it and came to watch it on CZcams JUST FOR the comments, and boy I was not disappointed 😂
Same 😂
I really thought they were gonna flame flint dibble harder, lmao.😂The dude looks like he smells his own farts.
Unfortunately, I got way further than that before I shut it off and came here for the video. Boy was I surprised at how this man looks! The voice did not give it away! 😂
Men of culture, gather round …
Poor guy needs to lose his virginity.
Rogan would be the best debate moderator of all time
yeah, bring him to the Biden vs Trump debate, if sleepy Joe will decide to have it, and Rogan will be like 10x better moderator than any tv host. He has his views, but is able to me neutral.
I would love to see these two come on again with Randall Carlson as well
YESSS!!!
Randall’s too busy getting duped by that scammer Malcolm Bendall
Flint Dibble is the perfect name for this man. “I’m Flint Dibble, an archaeologist, who dibbles in flint.
Also a dibble stick is the name for a stick one uses in horticulture for making the hole to insert a seedling. They actually manufacture plastic dibble sticks, I just use a garden stake.
@@jason2012ification therefore a Flint Dibble, would be a stone hand tool used for seeds, literally the 2 things he loves. No wonder people think this guy is a bit of a tool
He was clearly the loser as soon as he appeared. Indiana Dibble. Hancock was probably like "oh another one of these".
Flint Dibbles best friend is a alcoholic called Piss Puddle?
🤣🤣
I wish I could’ve seen the interaction between Joe and Jamie the moment Flint and Graham walked out of the studio.
😳😬😅
😂
I’m only 5 minutes in & this comment made me laugh !
Probably talked about how much of a duechebag Flint comes off as regardless of what he knows or doesnt. Poor guy did not get enough hugs from his narcissistic dad.
I agree
You need to learn more about Shackleton. It's an amazing story of survival only overshadowed by the outbreak of WW1. Both, Shackleton' and his crews diaries are fascinating.
Brave Men that Volunteered for an adventure that they might not survive ! Yup Brave Men !
I remember a woman archeologist who worked in Central and South America on evidence showing people being in that area at least 100 years older than the Clovis people. She was ridiculed. It was a fascinating report. And she has been since proven to be correct. I wish I could remember her name.
3.6 million views in 4 days and still counting for a 4 hour debate on archaeology is insane in a good way.
That's not including Spotify and the other platforms
so now they load the full shows here? before it was only like 10 to 20 minutes clips.
@@lcfflc3887 yeah full episodes are back.
16.5 million by 4/21 on CZcams alone. This is huge
Plenty of educational CZcamsrs get 10 million + views per video. People wanna learn, that never went away. Dumb people are just louder.
I’ve battled this man before.
Always had a Geodude
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
This is the best comment of the whole section! 😂
💀💀💀
💀 Broooo - UNDERRATED COMMENT!
You can’t disprove a negative. You can say why you think it’s unlikely but you cannot disprove it.
Good debate. Kudos to all three who (mostly) kept their heads on and did a decent job of discussing these issues in a productive manner
3.1M people tuning in for an archeological debate is insane! Joe Rogan did it again
Dude, this is how it should be!
Flint's hat doesn't look very dusty...
I listened to it on spotify so these numers are not evem close i think
16.5 as of this post
Just on YT....
To Flint, Graham, and Joe: thank you so much for doing this. This is the type of discussion that the internet desperately needs.
I can’t tell if you’re joking but I genuinely enjoy this content.
Yea, but now I can’t go on believing some ancient advanced civilization, and feel like I wasted my time watching ancient apocalypse.
Graham kind of a fake scientist.
“You’re a tourist, I dig”
Yeah….no
As someone who's drank ayahuasca, and undergoing the deep philosophical questions this journey requires... my man in the hat clearly has not.
I therefore find anything he has to say completely irrelevant.
Call me biased ... but his tone of voice is not authentic
@@and__lam1152 You did an ayahuasca trip so evidence for things is now invalid? What are you talking about
Flint Dibble is his dad’s biggest fan.
Yes, old age affects my vision, too. Anyone fortunate enough to get old will know. Lasik, cataract surgeries help, but it’s a constant problem. I sometimes take pics and enlarge repeatedly to see details better.
Flint Dibble is that one guy in High School who brought a briefcase instead of a backpack.
😂😭😭😂
That’s actually the koolest cat in the school too doe btw.. ✊🏾🧠🌍🧘🏾♂️😂.. rs.. I’d rather be ahead of time, then behind…., FeeMe¿
Flint is that one guy in High School that got suspended for bringing his light saber to gym class
did we all have that one kid who did that?
And a whip and told others “it belongs in a museum “
Flint Dibble looks like he is either 25 or 75. it’s extraordinary.
Like how water can be liquid, solid and gas under the right conditions, this dude is a walking triple-point of age. 25, 50 and 75 all at the same time.
Flint defies the laws of physics like quantum photosynthesis
Hilarious. I literally laughed out loud at your comment.
Hahaha
No, he dad'nt. He said DAD again. Drink.
PLEASE! Do this now with Stephen Meyer and Dr Ken Miller! 🙏 the Kitzmiller vs Dover trial would be the best follow up of all time!
So happy they did this.. Graham is the Man. And big shoutout to Flint for pulling up.. Win for everybody
nah, Graham definitely took the L here
@raoulduke7668 yeah he did but what do you expect no real evidence just what if.... it sells just look at the history Chanel took over by aliens. Now archeological is taken over by advanced civilization
@@raoulduke7668 how? Flint answers questions like a politician deflecting in any way he can … even if he’s right his glaring bias discredits anything he says.
Hearing them dig at each other in professional ways is so funny. “That’s a very good idea flint, thank you”
No pun intended, I’m sure
@@thomascorsi3178that had to be intentional 😂
Gentlemen, our egos are on the line! (And education is impugned.)
😂
@@jonathanbolanos5272 it’s almost more impressive if it wasn’t
I can't believe how much I have missed the comments section...pure gold.
Exactly this. Listening to this podcast on Spotify without the comment section is not the same experience.
So fucking true!
+1
here here
Well done Jaime 👍
If you're on the show to prove that the archaeological community doesn't act like bullies and moch people who challenge their findings, then laughing at almost every thing the other side suggest is probably not the way to go.
Yeah I'm only part way through and I can already tell exactly the type of person he is and it's infuriating. Makes me question his motives and reliability.
@@jakefell91 I agree. its a shame. This is why we need people like Graham that can challenge these goons.
Dude didn’t even have the sack to apologize for his BS claims and attack on graham. Flint is a total Dbag.
Graham's entire point was that there is a civilization he has no evidence for, but that is because archaeologists haven't unearthed this supposed evidence. With a logical framework like that it is laughable and it is the antithesis to the scientific method
I'm 2 hours in and I have to say I am VERY impressed with how Joe Rogan has been doing as the Host/Intermediary. He is being fair to both points and not showing favoritism even though we know he gets along great with Graham Hancock. This is very refreshing from an Intellectual and Ethical perspective.
Thats why JR is such a great show! He's REAL :)
He’s like the judge
Agree so much! Especially in these days where debates are often one-sided or used as a propaganda attack. It’s actually really refreshing seeing an honest debate where he makes sure everyone gets time to speak.
That's why Joe's podcast is so awesome❤
I agree , he knows how a slaugther works and avoided it by supporting both sides but if you look at rogans way of communication....
He gets it ? Like Graham. Thats why they became good friends..
3.3 million people watched this video in just 3 days! (On CZcams alone)
A 4.5 hour nerd debate on archeology.
Fascinating.
Goes to show where people's interest really lies haha
Dude, its about humian history and the beginning of it that people are interested in, not the archiology it self.
Conspiracy theories, not archeology
@@pugs909Yep, this is exactly it. If you see all the rabid Hancock fans commenting on his appearances, what they fixate on is the conspiracy angle with the archaeology as a distant second.
It's just another example of how gullible the average person is. They want to be entertained more than use critical thinking skills.
@@jorgemartinez42069I bet you comment "source!?" in comments 20 times a day to feel good about yourself.
Why won’t Flint make eye contact with Graham?
At 2:02:40..... explains everything for me! It doesn't matter if Graham is right or wrong,.... academics using dirty tricks through the media to discredit and destroy advisories!
