Exactly 1 year post Whipple my wife’s CA19-9 went from 4 to 60. (Diagnosis 11 months pre-surgery stage 3 borderline resectable ca19-9=234) During the past 10 months she was treated with Gemcitabine only (rounds 3-week infusion day 1 and 8). CA19-9 bounced around to 1,600 then 400 and now 1,700. Currently Gemzar resistant last infusion 3 weeks ago. Taking another 3 week break before Abraxane mono therapy. My prayers to you Paul and many others fighting this horrible disease and the anticipation/anxiety every quarter facing CT scans and marker tests.

I just watched this and kudos to Paul!! I was diagnosed at the beginning of this year with pancreatic cancer. I am not a candidate for surgery yet because of the proximity of the blood vessels. I am on chemo, my second round is tomorrow. I also have read Kelly Turner book and I think it will change my life! I will beat this with everything, not just "standard" therapies.
My husband was also diagnosed with PC early this year and has begun chemo with the plan to get him to surgery. I am studying the book How to Starve Cancer by Jane mclelland, I highly recommend! The second edition came out last year with new info relevant to Pan. Cancer. We are also doing the Care Oncology Protocol along with the standard of care and will be adding more supplements and meds from the book.

Pancreatitis is most commonly caused by excess alcohol and poor cholesterol control which is diet related. Pancreatitis is an inflammation and any inflammation of any organ over time increases risk for abnormal cell growth which is cancer.
I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer in July of this year. My initial CA-19 values were over 18,000. As of now, they are at 1400! I went for 230 lbs to 170 lbs and in extreme pain. Because of supplementation, diet, exercise, and mindset, I’m currently at 192 lbs. Any other ideas to beat this would be greatly appreciated. I wanna live!

What an inspiration you are Paul, also the importance of a positive mindset. My husband is journeying down this road at the moment. He was fortunate that his cancer hadn’t spread and surgery was possible to remove the tumor. He’s currently having chemo just as a mop up. Interestingly our oncologist said exercise probably would not make lot of difference which seemed odd to us. Wondering if utilizing a hyperbaric chamber would be beneficial?
Yes, I think hyperbaric would be helpful. Cancer hates oxygen and hyperbarics supper saturates the body with oxygen. I didn't have that therapy in my office back when i treated Paul but we now acquired it.
Im currently battling stage 4 pancreatic/liver cancer and mine also started with acid reflex and they thought i had a blockage just before my stomach they shoved an nj tube down my nose and into my esophagus resulting in a quarter sized perferation of the esophagus needless to say the whole esophagus died off had to have it removed then found out i had stage 4 cancer that happened in 2018 so ive lasted quite sometime with this cancer but i fear i dont have much time ive lost almost all my body fat and muscle i know my organs are next unfortunately i think it's going to be soon... I'm going to get these supplements and start taking them and have them check my ca19 levels and show my oncologist some of this hopefully we can come up with something that will save me! taking lots of supplements orally won’t help much now. u have damage to ur digestive system. that’s why ur losing weight. u can’t breakdown and absorb nutrients they way shld. increase acid in ur stomach and keep with digestive enzymes but id suggest getting vitamin ivs to keep ur body strong. drink lots of fresh pressed juices as they don’t require the body to break it down. it gets into the bloodstream within 15-20 minutes. u have to heal ur gut. get the inflammation down. check ur spine to make sure ur nerve supply to ur digestive system isn’t compromised. lots of times this is what causes ppl to have issues with their digestive organs. when u can’t breakdown and digest food properly u can’t get the nutrients u need and u will have more issues

Check out “How to Starve Cancer” by Jane McClellan. My CA-19 numbers were 18,000+ 5 months ago. They’re now at 1400 (still high, but down significantly). My tumor hasn’t grown any bigger, but its location and size makes it inoperable at the moment. Supplimentation, diet and exercise make a world of difference in my opinion. Starting round 10 of chemo next week. Keep me in your thoughts and prayers!

Hi Gary I live on the Gold Coast in Queensland Australia and I was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer last Wednesday -this was 6 days ago - I also have a complication with the tumour blocking the common duct coming down from the liver - over the next day or two they're going to insert a stent drive in this duct to get it working again -I am fairly jaundice the present and my levels are reasonably high - I understand that exercising while I'm jaundice is an issue and recovering from jaundice can take up while - I really would like to take on the program that Paul did - I really want to kick this thing -and I'm just a bit concerned when I could probably start exercising or do I go onto oxygen to try to raise blood oxygen levels ? Im.sorry to hear of your dx..my mother died of PC in 2006 at age 57. I have done extensive cancer research over the years. PC is hard to beat, but many cancers can be cured with fasting..start with only low sugar veggies, then if you can do a water fast. There's a man who's on utube that cured.stage 4 colon cancer this way. You can still do chemo if you wish, fasting during chemo actually makes it work better! It starves the cancer cells and makes your healthy cells stronger. I wish my mom knew about this year's ago. We were told to eat whatever. You need to get your blood sugars down and oxegen up. . Thus is a great and encouraging story. Congratulations! How did he become a surgical candidate after attaining stage 4? I am stage 4 and I was told once you progress to stage 4 they will not operate at all..
Thats ONE persons opinion. If it isnt the answer you want to hear then it is up to you to change the dynamic. Doctors, especially oncologist "know what they know or what they have been taught". They do not know anything about alternative therapies as the vast majority have not been taught. If they knew EVERYTHING then Pauls story would have been impossible. But it was not. I love my fellow oncologists but they have a very narrow view of cancer. Its ONE view. One opinion. It can never reflect the totality of what is possible. Take their sage counsel but never believe that it is the full answer.

Hello, I want to say thanks to Paul for sharing his experiece with Cancer, my wife was recently diagnose with pancreatic cancer. I have a question about the immune system and Detox approach. You mention a lot of supplements to extrenght the immune system. Do you take all of those suplements every day? Metatral, immpower, Turkey Tail, etc. One dose of every supplement everyday? or how do you manage that?
It is wonderful that Paul is doing well.I am very happy for him. This case,however, is extremely unusual. There are many folks who are doing all the “right “things, including having a great attitude who heroically lose the battle anyway. Stories like this end up with self blaming by patients for not curing themselves.😊
Stories like this inspire people to seek answer beyond the traditional ones. Self blaming is a choice not a requirement. We work to offer spiritual, mental and emotional council to patients as this is their most powerful tool. What you believe matters. Self blame is not a useful tool and we go to great lengths to ensure that our patients see ALL of their options and potential. The fact that Paul is an unusual story is because Paul exercised all of his options. Paul had the WORST prognosis possible and yet prevailed. That should inspire questions not doubt. This shows what is possible if you explore beyond the traditional and hold yourself to a higher standard. Paul inspires me daily to be a better version of myself so that I never face an oncologist with an ugly diagnosis.
I concur with not engaging in a self blame game, should Paul’s strategies not reverse my tumor. Am waiting two weeks for scans to show if I am a candidate for the Whipple procedure. This cancer has taught me to live comfortably with uncertainty. May it be so for each of us.

I read a study that showed a patient with received 50 or 75k of vitamin C a week. He lived without pain and his tumors in the liver and pancreas shrunk. Vitamin C is toxic to cancer cells and it helps the body get rid of the toxins from chemo. High doses are most effective.
The same way that someone without cancer finds it. You just do. You move. You commit to a plan and then you act. You ignore the frail ego that says "I'm sick" and i need to rest all day. You start small and you build. But it starts with developing the right mindset. How does a cancer patient find the energy to go for treatment or to change their diet? They just do. They decide that this is my path and I will walk it. Don't let other peoples expectation or your own ego dismantle your desire. If you seek health then you must pursue it. It is not given to you. Read the book by Kelly Turner, "Radical Remission". You need to build your mind to be stronger than your aches and pains.

The symptoms arrive late and are vague. We don't have the resources to do a CT or a PET scan on every tummy ache that occurs. I am with you in that I would love to see all of these cases caught much earlier but it is a silent issue for years before it emerges. There is a blood test you can explore called "Galleri". It is expensive, $950, but is a simple blood test that looks for 50 different types of cancer thus offering a chance to see it before it becomes a bigger issue.
My family member has gone through 8 cycles of chemotherapy (folfirinox) and now 5 sessions of SBRT radiation but he is now very weak..plz share the integrative approach followed like diet and exercise plan. Hoping that the tumour shrinks as currently it is touching the celiac artery and cannot be operated.
You should look at mushrooms like turkey tail. Eat a lot of green veggies, not too many carbs. Exercise when possible, even if it's just a little bit of walking.
Pennypaker offers a few good ideas. There are more. But knowing the individual history and status of any patient is key. Making therapeutic recommendations via this portal is not ideal. Seek out a good integrative oncologist and have then work with your oncology team to arrive ata more aggressive plan. You need help beyond simple chemo and radiation. It does exist.

Pauls clean, high vegetable and low sugar diet played a role in shrinking his tumor. As Paul would say, there wasn't just ONE tool that shrunk the tumor- it was many. The supplements, diet, exercise, mindset, chemo, surgery- they all were equally important
PEMF is Pulsed Electromagnetic Field. It is a simple mat that you lie on and recharges the cells with pulsed energy. It has been around for many decades. I have used a "Bemer" (brand) in the past but currently using a higher energy version by "Healthy Wave". Will cost you between $2-5,000 but very durable devices with broad use.
Being lean and active, and not having diabetes does not necessarily make one healthy. It would have been interesting to know what his fasting insulin levels were. There are millions of people walking around with high insulin and insulin resistance for years, if not decades, before any sign of trouble shows up. Not saying this is always the case, but insulin resistance, and the resulting inflammation is the cause of much chronic disease, including many cancers.
Paul had cancer and the primary treatment is chemotherapy to reduce the size of the cancer volume. Chemotherapy is helpful but not typically curative so other adjuncts are needed to reduce the toxicity of the cancer and also promote his immune systems ability to finish the job of cancer removal.
Pauls story offers insight here. Treating cancer is a multi-pronged approach. In my view the best approach is blending traditional ideas with integrative solutions. I recommend you read Kelly Turners book, "Radical Remission" as a start point. Then find a good integrative clinician to work with you. I like Dr. Mark Rosenberg in Florida as a great integrative oncologist. Check out his history/website Advanced Medical Therapeutics.
I've not used deodorant in over 30 years. I was told not to do it because 2 Mexican doctors had discovered Deodorant is the main cause of Cancer in Women. They presented their findings to the American Cancer Association and they were run out of town to never report and the repercussions. I remember as a child back in the 50's that my grandma used talcum powder for almost anything specially perspiration. It makes sense. Our bodies need to get rid of body toxins through the skin and if we put wax on the pores, they have no choice but to park themselves in exit areas, and as more and more toxins what to exit, it creates a wreck Pileup of toxins and they get mad bc they can't exit and they rebel and form a Big Tumor in defiance . I strongly believe in my soul that men's cancer problems are related to the billion dollar deodorant business . If this information even helps 1 person, than this writing was well worth it.
I'm sorry that you view Pauls accomplishment as unremarkable. I think he represents what is possible when you take the right actions and right mindset. Here is a question for you . . . how do the 2% become the 2%? If you have cancer then you want to study that. If I have stage 4 pancreatic cancer I want to learn from that 2% and this is exactly what makes Paul special. He represent a light in otherwise very dark place. When you have cancer you need that light and that guidance.
Paul remains Cancer free with a negative scan and a CA-19 marker of 4!

PC is hard to beat, but many cancers can be cured with fasting..start with only low sugar veggies, then if you can do a water fast. There's a man who's on utube that cured.stage 4 colon cancer this way. You can still do chemo if you wish, fasting during chemo actually makes it work better! It starves the cancer cells and makes your healthy cells stronger. I wish my mom knew about this year's ago. We were told to eat whatever. You need to get your blood sugars down and oxegen up. . Thats ONE persons opinion. If it isnt the answer you want to hear then it is up to you to change the dynamic. Doctors, especially oncologist "know what they know or what they have been taught". They do not know anything about alternative therapies as the vast majority have not been taught. If they knew EVERYTHING then Pauls story would have been impossible. But it was not. I love my fellow oncologists but they have a very narrow view of cancer. Its ONE view. One opinion. It can never reflect the totality of what is possible. Take their sage counsel but never believe that it is the full answer.

Hello, I want to say thanks to Paul for sharing his experiece with Cancer, my wife was recently diagnose with pancreatic cancer. I have a question about the immune system and Detox approach. You mention a lot of supplements to extrenght the immune system. Do you take all of those suplements every day? It is wonderful that Paul is doing well.I am very happy for him. This case,however, is extremely unusual. There are many folks who are doing all the “right “things, including having a great attitude who heroically lose the battle anyway. Stories like this end up with self blaming by patients for not curing themselves.😊
Stories like this inspire people to seek answer beyond the traditional ones. Self blaming is a choice not a requirement. We work to offer spiritual, mental and emotional council to patients as this is their most powerful tool. What you believe matters. Self blame is not a useful tool and we go to great lengths to ensure that our patients see ALL of their options and potential. The fact that Paul is an unusual story is because Paul exercised all of his options. Paul had the WORST prognosis possible and yet prevailed. That should inspire questions not doubt. This shows what is possible if you explore beyond the traditional and hold yourself to a higher standard. Paul inspires me daily to be a better version of myself so that I never face an oncologist with an ugly diagnosis.

The same way that someone without cancer finds it. You just do. You move. You commit to a plan and then you act. You ignore the frail ego that says "I'm sick" and i need to rest all day. You start small and you build. But it starts with developing the right mindset. How does a cancer patient find the energy to go for treatment or to change their diet? They just do. They decide that this is my path and I will walk it. Don't let other peoples expectation or your own ego dismantle your desire. If you seek health then you must pursue it. It is not given to you.
Read the book by Kelly Turner, "Radical Remission". You need to build your mind to be stronger than your aches and pains.

The symptoms are always the same..so why don't Doctors think to investigate right at the beginning?
The symptoms arrive late and are vague. We don't have the resources to do a CT or a PET scan on every tummy ache that occurs. I am with you in that I would love to see all of these cases caught much earlier but it is a silent issue for years before it emerges. There is a blood test you can explore called "Galleri". It is expensive, $950, but is a simple blood test that looks for 50 different types of cancer thus offering a chance to see it before it becomes a bigger issue.
My family member has gone through 8 cycles of chemotherapy (folfirinox) and now 5 sessions of SBRT radiation but he is now very weak..plz share the integrative approach followed like diet and exercise plan. Hoping that the tumour shrinks as currently it is touching the celiac artery and cannot be operated.
You should look at mushrooms like turkey tail. Eat a lot of green veggies, not too many carbs. Exercise when possible, even if it's just a little bit of walking.
Pennypaker offers a few good ideas. There are more. But knowing the individual history and status of any patient is key. Making therapeutic recommendations via this portal is not ideal. Seek out a good integrative oncologist and have then work with your oncology team to arrive ata more aggressive plan. You need help beyond simple chemo and radiation. It does exist.

The use of glutamine is dependent on the individual patient. Its not a blanket recommendation. Have to weigh benefits.

Pauls clean, high vegetable and low sugar diet played a role in shrinking his tumor. As Paul would say, there wasn't just ONE tool that shrunk the tumor- it was many. The supplements, diet, exercise, mindset, chemo, surgery- they all were equally important

Being lean and active, and not having diabetes does not necessarily make one healthy. It would have been interesting to know what his fasting insulin levels were. There are millions of people walking around with high insulin and insulin resistance for years, if not decades, before any sign of trouble shows up. Not saying this is always the case, but insulin resistance, and the resulting inflammation is the cause of much chronic disease, including many cancers.

Paul had cancer and the primary treatment is chemotherapy to reduce the size of the cancer volume. Chemotherapy is helpful but not typically curative so other adjuncts are needed to reduce the toxicity of the cancer and also promote his immune systems ability to finish the job of cancer removal.

Pauls story offers insight here. Treating cancer is a multi-pronged approach. In my view the best approach is blending traditional ideas with integrative solutions. I recommend you read Kelly Turners book, "Radical Remission" as a start point. Then find a good integrative clinician to work with you. I've not used deodorant in over 30 years. I was told not to do it because 2 Mexican doctors had discovered Deodorant is the main cause of Cancer in Women. They presented their findings to the American Cancer Association and they were run out of town to never report and the repercussions. I remember as a child back in the 50's that my grandma used talcum powder for almost anything specially perspiration. It makes sense. I'm sorry that you view Pauls accomplishment as unremarkable. I think he represents what is possible when you take the right actions and right mindset. Here is a question for you . . . how do the 2% become the 2%? If you have cancer then you want to study that. If I have stage 4 pancreatic cancer I want to learn from that 2% and this is exactly what makes Paul special. He represent a light in otherwise very dark place. When you have cancer you need that light and that guidance.
Secondly, i would never place Paul or any person in a column. He is a man, a human being, not a statistic.
