It's time to show you the real power of a Prime!
I always find this line so ironic considering this Prime is the weakest Optimus we've seen yet. Bumblebee Optimus held his own against the decepticon army and Bay Prime is self-explanatory.
I basically mixed and matched this kit with the Machine Capsule kit. I used the shin pieces from that kit so that the cannon can be placed in its original configuration on the bed of the truck mode. The rib cage pieces and the head and mask were better than the DNA Design kit, but the claw and arm and blade from DNA Design I loved. Waiting for the other arm for next DNA Kit with Battletrap and Nightbird which will make the cannon fit better on the bed of the truck because the claw keeps getting in the way.
is the machine capsule kit a KO of this ? from what site??

I got mine off eBay.
Not exactly a KO of this, just has similar ideas, I think. The claw looks like the original one Scourge initially had, but claws are articulated and can spin, also has the device to corrupt Airazor, but the DNA design one is better. Other arm looks like original but fingers are articulated and blade is real sharp, like safety hazard sharp, and unfortunately like the original isn't removable. Thigh pieces are less accurate, but the new shin pieces allow for the cannon to have its original configuration in truck mode unlike the DNA Design one. Head and face are also more accurate to the movie than DNA Design in my opinion, and mask is also removable, however first time removing the mask might take the face off, like mine so I had to glue the face's tab (NOT the mask's tab) into the inside of the head.
However, what is a huge negative for this kit, it DOES NOT HAVE THE NEW BOOTY!

This booty upgrade for Scourge and the enemy scrotum part of the DNA upgrade kit for SS Devastator made both their respective upgrade kits worth it alone

I have been watching WAY TOO MANY videos on painting your figures. Because I kept wondering what color I would paint them,"Tamyra brand Gun metal grey"! Pretty sure that would blend the pieces in better. I blame hobbies with Jose! Just saying that man could paint any of My figures any day. I HAVE to get this kit especially after just getting My own scourge from a local store that sells vintage figures including new ones opened and unopened. I also blame YOU EMGO because of you I have a larger collection of transformers than I ever had as a child,THANK YOU SIR!

Already going to get the kit DNA is doing for all 3 of the Terrorcons because I want the new wings for studio series Nightbird but this kit will definitely be a pickup for me once I replace my studio series Scourge. Sadly one of the clear hinges for the backpack broke on mine.
I actually combined the machine capsule toys upgrade and this one for a better experience. I used the blade arm, larger thigh guards , and chest piece from the machine capsule toys version so that I could still have the transforming arm gimmick, have the chest piece be a little less obtrusive and sturdy and give him better thicker thighs. I use the DNA kit for the rest of the figure and then just use some Gundam markers to color match everything . I'm looking forward to the next upgrade kit which includes the transforming shoulders for him to make him truly screen accurate

We got a screwing before our normal screwing day ha ha. Butt upgrades are important. Scourge now looks right.
Do you actually get the actual mainline figures after you kitted out the ones you put on

Mine has a kit like this one, people call it a KO of the DNA one. But after what I saw here I can say it is different and just as cool.
I actually kinda like the leg additions, in truck mode it gives him sorta fender trim.. 😅🤷🏼♂️
This kit actually fits that Disaster TZ-01 KO. Aint a bad figure. Well the one i got anyways. I know KOs can be hit or miss. I ordered that shockwave/spock for barely $35 to see how they are and both were actually great, especially the Spock. I ended up selling it cuz i had gotten siege but i really regret it now. Was a great figure. Only KO I have now is Scourge but mihht get that ROTF Megs

The rib cage parts arent put in well and get annoying in transformation so I took that out but the rest of it is wonderful.
How did they manage to screw up the weapon storage so badly? Both the gun and the blade already had places to go in alt mode, and the gun storage was actually accurate to the truck
They didnt screw it up
They just dont get care for the truck its all about the robot mode

From my experience it's not worth it .-. I swapped back to the stock bladed arm. I was lucky enough to get the red claw, the gap fillers are ok. The shin guard pops off and limits articulation
I glued the leg parts down before I realized you cant attach the gun the normal way in truck mode anymore. The gun’s truck mode configuration is actually screen accurate. He has those parts on him and now that look is ruined. Whoops. 😡

He looks pretty much no different in robot mode. Sooooo... truck mode looks even sillier with the giant glowing blade, and it looked silly to begin with, thanks to the blatant arms and (as usual for truck formers) very slightly folded up legs. Weapon storage in this mode is even lazier now. And there's nothing whatsoever at all to fix his terrible design flaw of the translucent hinges needed to transform him cracking- are there any options for upgrade kits to fix that?
Are you blind..? Robot mode looks WAY different, takes the gangly skinny concept art and bulks it out to his cgi model design, as well as giving him much better hands
The hands also seem less stable, the way they need a locking joint when the originals didn't, and a few spikes on the side don't really 'bulk out' a chest. And no, I'm not blind

Hot take but I prefer the figure as is. The new head, claw arm, and torso fillers are objective upgrades but idk, the rest doesn't have that much thought imo. Also the plastic color. Don't vibe with it.

Mine came with a second arm blade claiming it was better than the original one which was wobbling too much when I tab it on, the second one still doesn't lock and wobbles as bad
