the outpost at which i built this is in a mountain range. so i cleared out like a perimeter surrounding the outpost of 22 blocks as you said, but still the pillagers are spawning outside the perimeter. can someone help me out with this.

This farm could comming handy.
I just dig out an entire testchamber underneath my watermonument. It`s just a 100x100x100 hole. :D

For key farming it's like... They made it absurdly simple. No digging out needed.
There was a TC below my nether roof portal... Digging two 1x1's down into it for water elevators... was in one of the 3 tired rooms with 4 spawners.
Mine that out just to clean it up - beneath each spawner hopper minecart, rail track, hopper, build a 9x9 at the level of the hopper minecart around the spawner. Light the netherack & surround with 2 tall glass wall, add a glass roof on top.
If using the same type of room as me just repeat for the other 3 remaining spawners, tie all 4 together w/hoppers to feed a chest.
I also built a second portal down there at the same coords as the surface one....
The end result is now every time I need to go to the nether roof I take my water elevator down.. run one lap of a walkway I built that triggers all 4... Once the mobs are dead pop an ominous bottle & repeat.
This takes like 3-5min total & now - just from taking the time to do that when I need to go to the nether roof.... I'm already sitting on enough stacks of regular and ominous trial keys that I doubt I could ever use them all...
It's bonkers
It's even cheaper and quicker to build than the ^.... But I'll be building this to go with it to never have to manually farm bottles again & make it even more broken/cheesed lol

1 pillager got stuck in on the side (between the hooper and the wall) and the water did not push him into the lava so he killed the golem

You can destroy it or replace with blocks but make sure you place torches so mobs can't spawn there

Theoritacally yes as I dont think spawning mechanics change from ahav to bedrock. Youll have to check though.
