Que bueno encontrar presentaciones de la época, es una maravilla escuchar en directo y ver sus movimientos, gestos, la sonrisa de Elizabeth. Gracias.

Love the way the bass is so prominent in the mix! Unlike the studio versions.

Millimillenary - it was originally on an obscure U.K. comp (NME, i think) but was later included on Pink Opaque

Big time fan, but this wasn't good. They were struggling through this. Funny thing about most fans. These lose all objectivity when it comes to their idols. It's impossible for them to put in a bad show.

Musician here. The Spanglemaker was a bit spotty vocally. Liz was still getting into it. No problems for the musicians. Pepper Tree, Liz is on top of everything. No problems for Robin or Simon either. If they were struggling, they would not be able to hear: each other, themselves, or the tape, and they are both perfectly in time with each other AND the drums the entire performance. Millimillenary had zero problems either, Liz can even be seen smiling at the crowd during it. The version of Rococo was perfect. No looks between the musicians indicating they were struggling. Pearly Dewdrops Drops was totally on between everyone. You could call it, at worst, low energy, but it isn't like any of their concert footage we have seen around this time indicated that they were a high-energy band live. I looked for every cue that I know of that musicians will give when they are struggling. No flashes of frustration, no fiddling with gear, they were never out of time with things because they could not hear. (source: I played both guitar and bass along with tape for over 10 years live on stage, and have had gear breakdowns, not been able to hear the backing tracks super well at times, or other musicians, etc. I know how I've reacted and I've seen other bands have the same problems) Liz botched a couple of notes near the beginning. That was it. To say they were struggling is an overblown fallacy.
I'm not "most fans", I know how to detect botched notes, musicians reacting to things, little looks between them, etc. And none of that happened here. I have absolutely zero idea why you think they were struggling.
