  • Finding colonial cellar holes way out there & metal detecting them.
This area I went searching in I have been out looking for these sites for almost 10 years. The place is huge and very overgrown from logging within the last 20 years. I had to hike through the worst terrain to get even close to where these deserted farms are. I brought my Fisher F19 metal detector along to see what I could find buried in the ground. Being that these old foundations had been destroyed by logging I was lucky to find a couple of old buttons and some other random pieces of old metal. This is a big adventure out following the old rock walls and reading the New England landscape.
