I've had this phone for a week or so now and I absolutely love it. Def on of the best budget phones out there. It does everything I need it to do and does it perfectly. I got it free with metro and that makes it even more sweet of a deal.
I'm looking at upgrading from my LG stylo 3😂 the battery is getting weak. It has been a great phone. I am considering this one because I don't want the stylo 6 due to the size! Could y'all tell me how the antenna quality is on moto g stylus? Have you had any issues with the sim card like some of the reviews on Moto's site?

I would say the g8 power is better because it basically improves everything the g stylus has but it gets rid of the stylus.. unless you really want a stylus the power is a cheaper better performing phone

My old Moto died 3 days ago and I wanted to get another Moto brand one. I've been looking around and the g stylus seems so clean on cool so I've been doing research on it. It is supposed to arrive today and I'm really excited. I keep watching these videos to get more and more info on it.
How do you like it?
@@JW-um5pg i think as far as cheap phones go, this ones pretty good. The stylus is not the greatest quality but it's not bad either.
@@brody_pierogi Yeah, the stylus isn't amazing, but it's certainly better to have than nothing. Is the performance still good for you? I just bought the 2021 version. I was debating on returning it for a OnePlus Nord for $150 more, but with the loud speaker, the stylus, the big screen, good battery life, expandable storage, etc. it checks every box for me. The 2021 version has a Snapdragon 675 and it's been pretty snappy for everything I throw at it. I think the bare bones OS is what contributes to the good performance overall though.

Great video. Unfortunately I've had to use your video twice in the last 3 weeks because I got a new phone on December 1st and by December 18th had dropped it in the ocean in key West. Yours is the only video I can find that talks about personalizing the Moto g stylus. Thank you!!!!

I got this phone and decided to look into it afterwards. And I love it. Way batter then my last phone and works so far perfectly. I recommend this for a budget phone. But me being nosy I went through the settings and watching this video I was hoping to find something new I could use. But sadly the only thing I didnt already use or know about in this video was the do not disturb when set down function.
I love my moto g stylus. I brought mine 3 days and it's an awesome phone. Love the battery life and the dual speakers.
You can take a screenshot as well a third way by holding down the on button "for less than 1 second" until screenshot option appears and then hit it. 🙂

A lot of good stuff here. Their "handbook" is a joke.
The handbook is the basic thing that ships with most Moto phones. YOU have to go into the settings and go into the tutorials they have set in place to help you. The handbook is just for the specs and basic things like where the headphone jack and power button is located at.

You forgot to tell them there's one more screenshot option. Press and hold the power button and its right there in its own menu. Also with emergency feature

One feature I'm liking is the slide split screen. Many podcast apps won't run while you do something else. Just open 2nd app, slide & presto. Split screen. I use that a lot. Just now getting used to gestures. I don't care about the camera very much, but kinda like the idea of having the phone paste together a panaramic view. Might try that.

For the screenshot u can also use the stylus or hold down the power button and it should give u the option to do it

The circle around the clock also shows the battery status. Not exactly a percentage, but I think it's still a pretty clear way to indicate battery life.

I had my phone for a week and wasn't sure we were a good match, now seems pretty cool ( I had a samsung galaxy s8 before) With the Moto G stylus I can't seem to control the music from pandora or soundcloud through my samsung frontier s3 watch, if you have any advice will be highly appreciated!
I received mine free to replace a Samsung. I have had a Samsung for 4 phones so I was pretty used to the button layout. That gesture crap to return to the previous page I swear was going to cause me to buy a replacement for a phone I just got. A couple times I turned the phone off thinking I would put it in a time-out. The swipe would work when I turned it back on. (I knew one of us really needed the time out.) Finding these tips saved the phones life and my sanity. Thank you from both of us. The phone would have said it itself but it is in a time-out for not telling me earlier.

Picking mine up today. Am so excited! I have a Motorola Moto e 2020, it's nice, but when I saw the stylus g I simply had to have it.

Yes, I plan on buying the phone the day that it launches, and I will be doing a comparison. However, once we know what processor the Stylo 6 has, then we should get a better idea of which device is a better choice.
Moto is better I'm using it now really nice
Only 64 GB of internal storage. Kind of a nonstarter these days with all the apps I have. 128 is the minimum I'd want to avoid running low on storage.
I found a feature on the stylus that may help for those interested. When you go to settings type volume in the search. There should be an option to use the volume key to change tracks. I found out from Motorola the volume up changes tracks the volume down repeats the track. It only works when the screen is turned off.
So what I basically know on phones as a geek is called hidden features for some ?

Three finger screenshot: nice!
You can also take a screenshot by holding down the power button by itself. A mini menu pops up and you will see a screenshot icon. for me personally I think it's a little bit more accurate in some cases versus the three finger gesture and the power button volume down combo.

@@sabrinariley9691 It also doesn't work for me. That guy must have a different phone. I have trouble getting darker bolder fonts. I only paid 120 dollars for mine at Cricket Wireless
One thing some people don't know is if you pull down the shade menu then press and hold am icon in the menu it takes you directly to the settings page for that feature.
Also if you just hold the power button you can select screenshot as well.

You can also long press the power button and there's a button option to take a screenshot.
I went from a Samsung fold 4 to this due to loss of a job. I could not afford it anymore. Went from $175 to $45 with this phone and absolutely love it. Does everything I need and more. Thanks for the tips and tricks
