I just got this phone today , and I honestly think it's a great phone , this is coming from someone that has been loyal to iphones since the 2g was released . Motorola has a lot of features other companies don't have such as the 2 chop gesture for the rear flash to light up , plus the wrist flick to quickly activate the camera and a whole list of other features . Honestly I don't have anything bad at all to say about this phone , my favorite feature is still being able to expand the memory with a sd card .

I got this phone 3 days ago and I honestly think it's a great phone.
I just received this phone last week, previous phone was a Note 9. Switched providers to Google Fi and this Moto was the only other phone besides the Samsung 22 Ultra that had a stylus. Moto arrived unlocked and also has a slot for an SD card which Samsung stopped including, (if it isn't broke - don't fix it Samsung).
Price was $200.00, which is hundreds of dollars less then the price of the S22 Ultra and the shipping was free. So far I can't complain, (or grumble harshly), about anything on the Moto. This video was EXTREMELY helpful! I may have stumbled across some of these features eventually, but learning about them right after receiving the phone is awesome.

I'm still nursing my Note 9, but the battery is on it's way out. I want to keep the expandable memory, and headphone jack (both are mostly unavailable anymore) and am thinking seriously about this phone. Thanks for your helpful post.

For some reason I was able to customize the color of my apps and tabs on the phone and now it does letme... Before there was a feature to personalize your phone with a certain color and now I can't even find where to do it anymore

I just got that phone I love it more the iPhone 11 I used to love the apple products but this phone is upgraded and more storage in my opinion the camera quality is better. Games are better on this phone.
My moto g stylus 5g 2022 likes to power itself off completely if it sits idle for less than 5 minutes, I hit the power button and it doesn't turn on, I have to hold it down to fully power it back on, there any way to fix this?

I got a Moto G Stylus, after my Note 10 Plus gave out on me. It's almost every bit as good as my old phone. I wish the stylus had a finer point, but that's it. The screen quality, the battery life, and the fingerprint scanner are actually a little better than my old Samsung.

@@preston8872 The se 2020 is perfectly fine and I actually kinda wish I had one, budget phones aren’t good. If you MUST have one, here’s a list of cheap phones to stay clear of: the iPhone se 2022 because it is the iPhone 8 with a faster cpu, which is the same phone as you have, wait till 2024 for an actual upgrade, most Motorola phones as they are getting slower year by year, any Samsungs because they are EVEN WORSE than Motorolas, and no name brands like ulephone or cubot or whatever. Here’s my recommendations: google pixel 6a, coming in July 2022, it is fast, it has a lot of ram, best camera on the market, and premium build and all around good phone, the Motorola moto g stylus 5g, and the Motorola moto g 5g, both Motorola phones being very good value and speedy for their price, alternatively, get an older flagship phone like google pixel 5 or iPhone 12 mini.

is not giving that, I did see a green light on the top right of the case, but I don't know what qued it? but if I am in a loud surrounding, I do not know if I got a message, which is frustrating, annoying, I don't want to have to open apps etc. every 5 minutes, my old BLU R1 HD had it. I bought the Moto to have 5G and more memory, speed, but I am having many growing pains. CAN YOU HELP?
I have a question about the navigation the one word has the arrow on the bottom left is there a way to switch that for the arrows on the bottom right? I had it like that where I could switch it on my old Samsung phone that I had before this 1 that you're showing
My fiancee got this phone and it's comparable to my S22 in so many ways. Great phone. The camera isn't quite as good as mine nor the speakers but it's a fast and responsive phone. Good camera. All features amazing. This is truly a great budget phone. It doesn't quite compete with a $1000 phone but for the price it's worth it. I feel like $500 is a bit overpriced but the $1000 phones are overpriced too. They have some carrier deals on this phone too so you can save money. Completely worth it. He got a good deal and he's very happy with the phone. It's a fast phone too. I've also tested the A53 (same price range) and that phone lags and has a bad camera (although better speakers) the A53 sucks. Lol. This is a really good phone.
Even though Motorola phones on average are getting slower cpus year over year, they are still miles ahead of Samsung phones of the same price range. Dunno why people still buy Samsungs because you need to root the operating system just to download apks from the internet.

@@GameTesterDev that just means that Samsung one UI is too hard to use. Stock android is a lot better for the average person. If a tech savvy person like me could not figure it out, I dont expect most people to know. Samsung needs to ramp up their game with software because it is too limiting, and hard to use, and sometimes is straight up MISSING features that a regular android would have like battery usage details
Hello I liked the video, but I need to know how to turn off the RTT on a phone number it just started today. I have looked at other videos but what they show will not turn it off for the telephone number. Help

@ Kevin Breeze how long does it take to charge.. 6gb/128 t mobile.. does it hurt the phone to leave on charger while in use? Most importantly how easy to shut down so someone cannot take phone from me and see who i was chatting with .. how can you quickly lock the phone to prevent this my captor from seeing what I am doing? ty
It will degrade the battery if you leave it charging at 100% for too long, after 3 days of the purchase of the phone, it will degrade it if you don’t leave the phone on the charger and overcharge it past 100% for 2 days, (right after purchase) and it will also degrade if you let it drain below 20% battery, hope this answers your question

For some reason I have a qi receiver and was working wirelessly. Then all of a sudden, it connects but disconnects. I have two qi chargers 10w and 15w. Qi reciever is 2000mah. Should I have gotten the 1300mah??? Someone help. Nor settings changed, brand new phone.

Always been a MOTOROLA fan since they come out with the RAZR in 05 at att. Was on a 4 way plan with my mom, granny,and cousin and me of course and it was awesome. I got the black one and love it.
Look for invisible purple light beam top left thin strip.look thru another phone cam at thin strip once u see the light look for the alien .I got mine covered with nail polish

My phone is only slowly charging with a quick charger. I had to get another cord and it is supposed to be for my Moto Stylus G but it started fast charging and then the new one only wants to slow charge. My phone is less than a yr old. Can anyone help me figure this out? Thanks.

The line at the bottom is better than 3 buttons I'm using currently a 2020 Moto g stylus 4g
I got mine from boost last month and it seems like the touch pad lags and it takes forever to charge the battery
What I don't like about this device is the lag on response time when selecting anything. There is a small delay but long enough to where I wind up tapping again because I think it just didn't register my touch but just as I tap again the previous tap is registered so I wind up tapping on an ad or some other thing unintentionally.
The other thing is the ridiculous volume warning every freakin day. I'm an adult and don't need a program to babysit me. It's extremely frustrating when my hands are busy and it does the volume turn down & warning I'm forced to acknowledge by tapping then have to turn it back up. For this alone I've considered getting a different device. There should be a setting to disable the volume warning. Not everyone is dependent on others to make their choices for them or needs a warning lable on everything. (Blow dryers even sport a "do not use in shower" warning! If they removed all these stupid warning labels then natural selection would take care of the rest). I like the gesture flashlight and quick capture camera.
You have to get the developer options open. Look for the video on how to make the moto stylus faster.
Once I click on anything on my stylus am there quicker than a hurry.
You should of known by now. The developer options has been around since way back on all androids.

Window animation scale
Transition animation scale
Animator duration scale
To 0ff
The default phone settings have them at 1.5x

Contrary to popular believe... Optimized charging doesn't reduce the time in which it takes for the battery to degrade... DetroitBORG debunked that years ago.

I love this phone ive had it just over a year and we got android 13 and this phone is super impressive ive loved it theres only 2 things that need improved 1 screen brightness needs to be much higher . 2 the speaker needs upgraded . I love this phone.

I am having a problem with my voicemail set up. It says "visual voice mail" ??? I just want regular old voice mail . Also, are there apps that are pre installed that I can do without ? I am in my late sixties and want easy peasy if at all possible. TY
Your voice mail is probably what your carrier has chosen to use. (Boost, AT&T, whatever) I use Boost because it is so cheap for what I need, and Visual voicemail is terrible.

I just got this phone the other day and it has this little Moto action icon that is snapped to the edge of the display at all times and I don't know how to get it off! I tried looking this up and don't see any info on it. It's a little hand gesture, round shaped and no matter where I move it on the screen it just snaps to the nearest edge. It also doesn't even do anything when I click on it. I'm at a loss as to how to get it off the screen.
Isn’t that the icon for turning on the one handed phone usage, as he showed in above video? He showed how to turn it on, so watch again to find where it’s at in menu & turn it off. Also, don’t know if this will work, I have a Note 8, but i can get rid of things by dragging them to middle of the bottom of the screen & a garbage can comes up which i slide it into & it’s gone. Maybe the Moto does this too. Don’t know if that’s an Android function or specific to my phone model.
I hope by now you already found the answer but i saw no one’s been answering the many quest Asked here, so I thought I’d try to help as i saw that feature being explained in this video (the one hand icon). I’m considering this phone vs getting a Note 20 Ultra & it’s really hard to find enough i fo for things i need from my cell to decide what to get to upgrade from my note 8 which i love except for the quality of the photos which isn’t really good in low light & night situations.
For reference, in April 2023 this phone is $250 for the 256gb/8gb ram model with free 256gb storage card on Amazon.

Motorola g 5g is a good choice if you are in Canada or USA, it is cheap, and good speed comparatively to other 5g phones like Samsungs of the same price range.

@@Metalpazallteway although it is difficult for me to recommend a Samsung to ANYONE. First off, a Samsung pretends to be apple, and for the same price, you are getting 3 years older cpu compared to iPhones (price to price) secondly, Samsung wants to be apple software wise, so they use the fact that android is open sourced and easy to use, and abuse it so people think Samsung is very open and easy to use, however, you can’t even download software apks from the internet (something of which I do a lot of) without rooting the operating system or jailbreaking it and downloading regular android on it, so unless you are going for foldable phones, don’t get a Samsung because there is NOTHING they can do that any other brand can’t, need a stylus? TCL and Motorola. Android? Literally everyone else does it so much better. Need premium build? Apple and google do it better. Need cameras? Sony does it better. need battery? Most rugged phones do better. Need software? Google pixel. Need speed? Apple. I hope you see my point here, Samsung has no place in the market as nothing it does except for foldables is special in the market and unable to be replicated.
@@revengeoveraero9366 The problem is brand per brand that u mentioned rarely will give it all to you. The best phone that is medium high price and that can give it all is the FE 20 or 21 edition. Because if not the camera on the Samsung's are either too white and too natural with no life, the Motorola gives great back camera but no good recording camera, Apple for me tends to overprice their products and they for it instance one drip on the ground and there goes your screen (I'm speaking in front for multiple owners bragging) also they used to not get slow and virus free now not so much. The one thing they did great last year was w their camera specs. Wonderful work but other then that every brand including ZTE and Axon they all give a lot of something and compensate just to level the competitive market. And I'm willing to say the same goes for EV automobiles, same concept applied.
@@Metalpazallteway true, however, apple’s way of pricing their products is based on years of support rather than the thing itself, for example, you wouldn’t wanna use a Samsung as your main phone after 3 years, but apple phones are just fine after 6, true that they aren’t durable, however, I think google pixels are the best for the medium high price range. Durable, good pleasing design, best camera for the price, good battery life, good ui, ok software support and fast cpus

I got this phone last week for $149.. great deal…was going to use the device as a drone only screen. But the OS is very buggy and locks up. The camera is horrible, and for some reason the speaker cuts out every 10secs during video and music playback. I just couldnt deal with those issues so I am returning the phone today. I could deal with the bad camera but the audio and unstable OS is a deal breaker. :(. I really wanted to like this phone. Perhaps I got a bad unit?? I might purchase another one after I see the credit on my cc. Though I do wish the screen was a bit brighter as well.

Screen brightness is the only issue the other things u mentioned Ive not had a d I have the same phone and it's super fast.

As a lifelong LG phone user with Android, this Moto phone is nasty after the first 48 hours. I am beyond impressed

After owning a Samsung S20FE with various bugs and design issues. I've been happy with my Motorola phone that just works well and no aggressive bloatware like Samsung. These tricks and tips are exactly what I needed!
