    What a clever idea. It looks really great and sturdy. You could paint em, I'm gonna make it for my bathroom in this small section I have. I'm just gonna make it taller.. the ideas are endless. Even shoes! Omg! Stephanie I'm going nuts thinking of how many uses. I love you girl! You plant the seed, we water it. You were my very 1st DIY'ER I had ever come across. From you I've learned so much and have a different view on DT shopping. Thank you for sharing. I loooove when you're silly and sing/ dance. Big hug girl🤗🤗🤗

    And you guys saying the cubbies at Walmart are a better deal, I have to strongly disagree. They are particle board. Anything that is water soluble is not a “better deal”. I’d much prefer something I make myself, out of bamboo (a beautiful, sustainable real wood) no less. I’ll be making this for sure. Thanks Bethany. 😃💕

      the one she made cost 10bux...it's great for a smaller space ( MEANING ONE ROW)
      Also the bamboo is a renewable resource and preferable to wood, as most products made of wood use "old growth " trees....
      Bamboo is much more sustainable...require few OTHER. resources to grow, harvest, utilize in manufacturing. Is a growing (no pun intended) market for farmers and employment. Also, easier to maintain products made of bamboo vs made from wood.

    Well I for one love it and think it’s a fabulous idea very creative and incredibly unique because there are no cube systems that look like that particular style of wood most are mdf or compressed wood which seems cheap. Me personally when I move and finally get my own craft space I’m gonna give it a shot thanks Bethany

  • @Nirrrina
    @Nirrrina Před 5 lety +3

    I think it needs to have some nails or screws put into it to help the glue hold better. But honestly if you're wanting a big one it would cost way to much. You could get one that's sturdier and bigger for the same or cheaper.
    But in saying that I still think it has it's place. Such as a smaller set on a table or desk for organizing things in smaller bins. I'm definitely going to keep it in mind as I start to remodel/organize my apartment living room from generally storage to a big craft room/area.
    There's also the fact that if you're low on cash you could build just a bit of it at a time.
    I still think it would work great on top of a square table as a desk organizer area. You could even stain them or paint them to match as well.
    Either way I like it a lot.

    • @TamLue
      @TamLue Před 3 lety

      I was thinking the same thing. I need a couple of wall shelves. I might make triangles out of them (maybe cut then in half length wise if they cut well so they aren't so wide) and put them together that way) to hang on my wall as pyramid shaped shelves.

      Jackie, I agree! You could definitely make a much sturdier version out of wood or even MDF that would last forever if glued and screwed. However, for someone without tools or building skills, this is cute for lightweight knickknacks, art supplies or makeup. It would be cheaper to buy cube shelves from Dollar General or Family Dollar.

    Thank you for sharing this amazing idea.
    I wonder if it would hold up if hung vertically on the wall? I also think that adding nails would give it more support and maybe using L brackets to hang. You could also make a box with no lid by using the bamboo as the bottom and make the sides and divided sections(optional) using the wood blocks that come as a game. You can build the sides as tall as you want. Use this on your vanity for makeup items, in your craft room to organize or on your kitchen table. The options are endless.

    Omg I love you. It's been awhile but I already was saying " when the hell did DT start selling wood boxes. Here I go again on my 20 DT store hunt". Lol

    I love it! Great idea and cheaper than if you bought it at the store. Yes, I would like to see more videos with the cutting boards. Now if only I can find some at my stores!
