Just picked up my 43 year old CC at the LCBO. Very fortunate to get one ordered in time, My Sober October reward! Looking forward to it. Thanks for the great videos
THANK YOU👍
One word......jealous!
Whisky Reviews Trenny and C lol
W6, sounds delicious and $250 for a 40 yr does sound cheap. Being there are only 7000 bottles, I can certainly see this on the 2nd market commanding a high price. Great review.
Keith Petersen thanks Keith. Cheers buddy.
Its a great tasting whiskey, i was lucky to score 3 bottles last year when it was released
+HOOTS C nice buddy. It’s very good stuff.
@@WhiskyInThe6 yes it is, ;)
Thanks for opening this one for the viewers -- I'm sure it was tempting to cellar it for collection. It demonstrates where your priorities are, and for that you deserve a lot of credit. Loved the closeup view of the tears and legs, and of course I'm delighted it's not colored.
Thanks buddy. Appreciate that. Cheers.
Hey Rob, just found your 40YO CC review. Nice review and recommendation. Will have to get a bottle or two. Cheers!!
Great review! thanks all my whisky buddys are going crazy over this and hording it. im picking up a few cases tommorow!
BigRudeAwakening that’s awesome buddy. I have two unopened as spares.
Awesome review Rob! I am so jealous:) Closing in on 2k subs. Congrats Man!
The Malted Man Cave thanks Keith. It’s been a fun ride man.
Cool bottle - this isn’t in Manitoba yet. An epic whisky for a Canadian. Nice one, Rob!
Mark
Thanks brother. Cheers!
Great Review Rob! Hoping to get my Bottle This Week! Right Here In Windsor!
Good luck. Be quick, these things have wings.
Great stuff as always!
Akeem Dream thank you sir.
Don't know if it would suit my taste, but $250 CAN for this whisky is quite a steal. If it was available over here, I'd consider getting it. :-)
Hogibaer it really is a steal Hogi. Thanks for watching.
Wow! Didn't see that coming... It makes you wonder what kinds of stocks they have squirreled away and quietly maturing...
It’s probably really hard for even them to keep track.
Not Fair!!!!! teasing us with whiskey we will never get :(
50 year old rum is $5k if you can find it.
great review Rob! gotta say i am jealous you got a bottle and tasted it but thanks for sharing it with us.
Tom R email me you address. Whiskyinthe6@gmail.com
Looks and sounds yummy!
Russell F. Nunley it really is.
Man jealous , great review and wish it wasn't a Canadian only Release along with most of the range .. Getting the 30 year old was a nightmare enough
deadmahn where about a do you live?
Brisbane ,Australia Rob .. Have just messaged a mate over there on holidays to try my luck fingers crossed
deadmahn best of luck brother. Hope you get it.
Wow a 40 year old Canadian Whisky. Unreal! Rob, I checked out that site you shared on the last vid btw cork and keg or something. Great site. Love the view of their store. A quick zoom and they have glendronach 15 it seems in a blue bottle. Am I just not reading it right? Can't be, right? Is that a much older 15 perhaps?
Could be a different wine finish. Not 100% sure. Some of the photos on the virtual tour are really old.
Great Review ma man #18th Thumbs and shared!
Thanks Seattle. Cheers buddy.
Nice review Rob. Is this a Canada exclusive release? Love the basement pan on the S4D live show.
Mike S. thanks buddy. Yes unfortunately this is a Canadian exclusive. Only 7000 bottles made.
Just picked up a bottle today Nov 20th better get out there! I hear there maybe one final release around Christmas as well.
Jason Gingras they will all be gone shortly. Thanks for sharing.
Whisky In The 6 I grabbed two wanted to grab all 6 but i figured best to leave them for others, expensive for some but an amazing deal for a 40 year. Cool.channel thanks!
Ps JP Wisers also just released a 35 year old at about $180 Im gunna pick that one up as well i am sure you will too. Enjoy!
Jason Gingras we’ll see. Not happy with a few things I’ve heard about it.
Going to review the 45 Year?! (: cheers
I’d like to
Great Video Thanks! I happened to inherit a Bottle of Canadian Club,Imported Blended Canadian Whisked,With 1977 in the Seal, It is unopened,And I dont want anyone to open it,Do you know what it may be worth? Thanks for any Information to sell it ..🙂
So hard to know to be honest. Old Canadian whisky doesn’t have much secondary value.
i was really hoping you'd get a lot of the buttered popcorn like the forty creek 3 grain
Chris Welch who knows what Forty Creek adds to their whisky though. This has zero additives.
I have access to 2 bottles of this right now. I MOST DEFINITELY want one for myself.
But I'm wondering, should I purchase the other to sell? Where would be the best place to go about that?
They aren't worth much to be honest.
@@WhiskyInThe6 that's good to know, I passed on it. Heard they will be releasing a bottle each year from 40 - 45.
Maybe I'll grab the 45 if that happens Haha
Till then I'll stick to my $40 - $80 price range.
Still have access. I’ll buy a sealed bottle.
How much do you think that a bottle of 1944 Canadian Club Whiskey "Unopened" is worth?
Probably some decent coin. Throw it up on auction starting at $500
Where is the secondary whisky market? I have two bottles of this and I don't drink whisky. I bought it to sell in the future.
jeff gauger secondary market is just the term used. Facebook, Auction sites and Instagram all work.
Thank-you
Hi
Which 1 s more complex n better as well as more collectable? Bookers or highwest campfire?
never tried campfire
Did they confirm it at $250 Canadian?
bourbon_ alberta the Lcbo is charging that.
Tomodera's review on Reddit was a little less glowing. Until I get my hands on the Lot 40 CS I probably won't consider this.
How was the overall reaction at the tasting last night?
peter white a lot of people really liked it. I think the experience was a bit rushed for some. Minutes after pouring it was handed out. Minutes after that glasses were empty.
Did they serve it in shot glasses :)
peter white long stem spirit glasses.
Ya, just kidding, more towards it being rushed and how quickly the glasses were emptied. Just my smart ass sense of humor.
peter white lol
That's interesting liquid, I gonna check here in my local store Slga . we call it.
Malty Manic Mojoe where’s this?
Whisky In The 6. Saskatchewan liquor and gaming authority.
Savage
Ya buddy. Cheers.
I have 41,42,43 looking to buy a bottle of 40. All the primary markets are sold out. So i have to buy a bottle from a personal seller. Would happen to know if anyone that would sell a bottle of 40 or reliable rare whiskey merchant?
I found one in Ontario. Was able to pick one up for $1100.
wow... that's a lot.
Too bad I just found this, I could have sent one your way for half that price...
Well I might have buyer. If you stick to your word of staying half price.
My buddy says he will pay $550
Would also love to know what you would have scored your 30 year old cc
BigRudeAwakening the review is in the archives. Go to my Canadian Whisky playlist and you’ll find it.
I watched the review you did not score it though. Was wondering wich one you liked better
Very different whiskies. I'll give the edge to the 40.
I am looking to buy one if any one has it in Canada 🇨🇦 sealed
So wisers 35 or cc 40?
Trust kill I think I am going for the wisers 35. I have always liked wisers over cc. Also the wisers being 165 dollars and bottles at 50% I think it's the go to. Hope I get a chance to try both thou.
Trust kill I’ll have to try the 35 to know for certain.
Shawn JDM to each their own. I’m hoping the Wiser’s is as good.
I've read mixed reviews on the 35 but it's everywhere in Edmonton now. No cc 40 yet though
