- This is a detailed review about the R3 from an owner. Opinions may seem biased but not on purpose. I really love the bike is all! In this video I'll cover a few important factors or questions you may have about the bike. Including the top speed that I was able to get too! you'll be shocked! enjoy the ride!

been riding mine for over a year and honestly this is all you need for city riding. it has the look and power. very capable on the highway too but you'll get the most fun in the city riding, twisty backroads. very low maintenance and easy to work on, what else do you want from a fun little toy?

Planning to get mine for this, but also to ride it to work and school every day.
For the past 2 years I’ve been saying I want to get an R3 and this year I’ll for sure make that happen. Went ahead and signed up for a motorcycle course today that’ll happen april 1st/2nd. I also went into the local motorsports shop and they got my info down. They’ll have 2 R3s arriving in April. One phantom purple and one yamaha blue. I think the phantom purple has me sold.

@@Ronnie_G I’ve never ridden a street nor a dirt bike so I’d like some hands on experience beforehand😅but yes I’m very excited I’ve heard nothing but good things about the R3 even from those that have bigger liter bikes. Phantom purple will definitely stand out from the usual!

I’ve been riding motorcycles for over 30 years & I’m wanting to get back into sport bikes. As a parent I think it’s a wise choice to get an R3 because they’re cheaper than most economical & fun! What’s not to love about that!🇺🇸

This bike really is great. Those who say this motorcycle is slow don't understand the power rev range or how to down shift for certain situations. I've never been unhappy or felt "slow" on a public road.
Yeah public roads I feel great! Only time I need more power is on the highway because they all 75+ in my area lol.
I couldnt agree more with you here! The only time I feel lacking is when i'm up to speed on highways. She does start to rev high at 80-90-100MPH on the highway. But, that's why I love the point you make about "How fast are you trying to go?!" lol. You're a real one!@@Ronnie_G

I'm renting an R3 as a light introduction to sport bike class. Eyeing a 600 sport bike as my next bike, so figured this would be a good way to try out the sport style. Thanks for this video
I picked up my 2020 brand new and currently have over 14k miles on it. I’ve ridden this thing in 30 degree weather, no problems at all. Now it’s needing some TLC…chain and sprocket spark plugs air filter and that’s about it. Not looking forward to changing out the air filter. Too many parts to remove. 😂
Wayy too many parts to remove lol. Did you do any mods on your R3?
@@Ronnie_G Na no mods just fender kit for the rear and that’s it. I purely just love to ride, that in itself is enough for me lol I think they only “upgrade” I will do is change my tires from stock to something mid-tier.
Yeah I agree I haven’t gotten around to any mods besides changing my clutch and brake lever. I want to get the fender kit as well.

I'm 39 and have never rode a motorcycle but have wanted to for a long long time, rode a couple atv's and a jet ski but never a bike. I don't want to die not ever riding a bike so this maybe the year I buy one or maybe for my 40th birthday. I think this would be a good first bike.
It would be great. It’s so easy to ride and controllable. Not too much power but enough that it can handle all roads including the highway. We only live once my man. Try it for sure!

Got my first bike to test the water in riding and to get comfortable with traffic situations. I got a Honda Grom and it’s definitely fun for riding in my town with the top speed limit of 45, gets the job done. Looking to get a bigger bike and now that I’m comfortable and now I know I’ll actually have time to ride, I want to upgrade. I’ve been thinking about the KTM Duke, Honda CB300 and this Yamaha R3. You or anybody have thoughts?
I would say go and sit on the bikes. Pick which one you like from the looks and comfort. Keep doing your research and whichever one you like the most go with it and stay with it! 🤝

Love your bike I have the black 2019 Yamaha r3 but Monday president's day I will be trading it in for the 2023 Suzuki GXSR 600 Gray.

How much can you weigh and still be OK to ride that?
I’m not exactly sure but I weight around like 165. It should be able to hold a great amount of weight though I’ve seen s guy at least 6’3 200+ ride this bike just fine.
