Regarding food packaging, though it looks cleaner and tidier without the big plastic packaging bag, and just store the content in a nicer looking jar/container, I do find it rather fussy whenever I need to recall some details, such as the expiry date, the ingredients, etc. And I don't want the extra step to write down every single expiry date for my food... So my solution is, finish what you buy as soon as possible 😂
Hey! Yes decanting your products usually gives a cleaner look (: a fast way to retain the expiry date or even you need the nutritional info/ingredients list - just cut them out and put them in the container (: great suggestion to finish what we buy too 🤣
Marie Kondo is first and foremost a good business woman. her tidying methods come later. she also has the charm and charisma to sell her books and workshops. Most people can't do that even if given the same business model.
thanks for going through the process of tidying up the food pantry, and the dishes. it really helps to see an example. and you girls are so fun to watch together. "relax, relax, relax" she says 😂💗
This is such a nice and practical video. I really like how you suggested using current storage first before buying new ones. Lot's of good tips. Very realistic.
I wonder if it is real necessity to home each equipment especially rice cooker or toaster as you need to use it every day? Will it be too much of hassle to bring out each time you need it. I must agree that it does free up the counter space.
Alamak need to b certified to declutter, tidying ur stuff... I hv been a very neat n tidy person since I was a kid... hmm more than 40 yrs ago. These days 什么都可以 become professional.
Hey Amy! Glad to know you’ve been decluttering for the last 40 years (: if you can read and implement the KonMari Method (or any other methods) on your own there’s no need for you to engage a consultant like myself 😌
Upright plates in a drawer means they clang against the rack when drawer is opened or closed. Impractical. Granted that clutter-less kitchen makes it safe and easy to clean but c'mon, a kitchen is not a showpiece for our social media.
Like the drawers organisation but really don't like it that the table top is so empty as if like no one staying there kind of feeling. Too troublesome to keep moving rice cooker in and out if you are cooking everyday.
On your ending scene, I saw a fixed dish rack that is just above your sink and would like to ask you more about it! Did you install your dish rack inside your cupboard with no bottom shelve / a removable shelf so that the water can drip down to the sink directly? :) thanks so much!!! Your videos really inspired me on my home reno!
Hi Janice! Yes correct the dish rack is installed inside the cupboard with no bottom shelving and replaced with a drip tray. We align the disk rack cupboard with the rest of the cupboard so that it looks in sync with the rest. But take note that the higher rack will be more difficult to reach if the person is of a shorter height.
It doesnt scratch easily. Not that i can see as it is a textured countertop. But we did have 1-2 small little tiny dents in it . I think my helper might have hit it with soemthing hard or drop soemthing on it .
For some people, this will not last... most people's problem is not knowing how to organise. The problem is the lack of Discipline to Stay Organised...
Hi Norazri! Tidying is definitely a skill to be learnt (: During my sessions I will be sharing exactly how to do so while creating a system that suits your lifestyle. You will be able to ‘’maintain’ this!
@@TheLimhausDiary Not here to create any trouble, just to educate the public correctly and do not mislead the information further. @@timothycheng5101 icic. no worries ! thanks for the insight! =) I think this information should be put out there for the consumers to know. I think alot of people, including me, assume that using the BLUM drawer etc is what it is and didnt know the surrounding material structure will play a part.
I think it should be more diy kind as we know our needs better than anyone else ...and nothing new we got to learn ....simple thing making it complicated and expensive is what u get the feeling from the video ....sorry for such a feedback but couldn't resist
why store away the rice cooker and blender , most human use them everyday, so when they are up on the top that means they will stay there for about 3 hrs including drying up.... and a wasted space below ..... it would be better to get containers of the same size, shape , height for your snacks ..... so when U open the door, it will look naturally neat
Thats right, but if you want to store it away you have a space reserved just for the rice cooker. I do the Same With my toaster. Its really nice to be able to store it away when you have guests over. I also try to clean my kitchen every evening and I like the clean and tidy look when I‘ve finished. Clutter attracts clutter :)
if i am not wrong, the pelmet purpose is just to aesthetically partially hide the aircon and its trunkings. our aircon trunkings need to navigate around the reinforced ceiling columns and pull to the rest of the rooms through the kitchen. If we did do the pelmet, it will still have to go around reinforced ceiling columns. and also its kinda ugly imo. haha.

I love the idea of families of cutlery - now I will smile at the little families in my drawers :)

Yes! Buying storage without tidying first will add on to clutter 😅 enjoy tidying!
Thank you for sharing yr home. I can imagine taking everything out fm my cabinet. There are

Same feeling. But I feel there’s too many bowls, plates and cutleries for the kids. I would cut down there.
Hey ChrIsRENE! (: it’s honestly up to your lifestyle! You can keep appliances outside if you use them daily on the countertop.

Vertical plates? I have a problem with that… there’s a tendency for them to chip more
You can stack them too! 🙂 it really depends on what sparks joy for you ✨

Hi, may i know where do you get the drawer system? I like it that the tracks are not visible.
Excel SG sells similar ones I believe they are called tandem boxes

Hi we post about the plates and link in our other youtube video czcams.com/video/fxpK2BlQIX0/video.html
You should let the consultant do the talking.
maybe not maybe yes who knows?????????????
Hi, may I know where you got the container for the macaroni and pasta?
hi! its from taobao !
btw, "cutlery" is already the plural term. No need to say "cutleries". Cheers!
oops haha thank for the correction !

Btw, that's not even Blum system. It's just the hardware runner system only. A Blum system is fitted with the recommended materials. Take care!
hmm we might have different definition of the BLUM system. In the catalogue, the TANDEMBOX, which we are using, is defined as a BLUM box system.

Why kneel down? Can’t catch the joke.
Because Marie Kondo always kneels down to thank the house before she starts tidying.
I think she has 2 years of food in her pantry
Where they Ms Esther staying? I wish to be her neighbour. I have no money to seek her professional advise but neighbour should ok.
