Unicorn smashed this launch! Shame they didn't send you any of the new volute points to try though. Been looking forward to them coming out in longer lengths/different styles for a while.

Jihaah, Darren. The Contender will bring us to our first 9-darter, maybe 😂 but need to throw the Zippy's to be fair 👍 what a range this time. Amethyst seems nice and super to see new Gary's - what a performance at the Grand Slam 🔥
LOL probably not, I cant hit one on a soft tip board with big segments so not likely to hit one on that either :) The Zippys are fun little darts :)

Not a bad launch….. my favourite of the launch was one they didn’t send you…the Cameron Menzies……. Reminded me of an old Lewis unicorn dart……. The pro tec… I thought was a Michael smith dart pimped up……. Another solid lunch from them and also the pricing pretty good to
Yeah I am not sure why I kept saying Razma lol Think its because I was looking at the book beforehand and his pic is next to those darts. When the teaser vid was shown I said it looked like a re-worked Michael Smith barrel. Probably what they are :)
That dart board , nice for kids ,too get high scores
I purchased the Top Brass v2 (7:55). Looking forward to trying them out. With 19g it should be my lightest brass barrel.

Great video darren. You lucky boy! A little unrelated but looking to put a new board on my Christmas list what board would you recommend as the best homeboard currently?
Thanks mate! :) I like the One80 Gladiator 3+ but boards can be a bit of a lottery, whether you get a good or bad one, there is not enough consistency with them.

Lots to like in this launch. But the Anderson Duos and the extended Wade range are a little odd to me. Mind you, the darts themselves look very good - but I’m probably less likely to buy them because they’re clearly just a marketing ploy to associate them with players who have never thrown them. I’d be more likely to get them if they were just part of another range like the Pro Tec. I know that Red Dragon does this a lot, too, and they’re just as annoying to me. But I can be a bit of a grumpy old man these days lol
it is but thats nothing new really, been happening for years and some people may like the player but not the darts they use so it at least gives them something to support the player I guess :)
The first darts I believe the pro techs you showed are just a nicer version of the old Michael Smith Darts they look lovely
I made sure I got the boxed collections of his darts before he left now I’m on to the new harrow magnums etc incredible darts mate!
Yeah it's a Smith styled barrel, not sure why I said Razma, think it is because they have a pic of Razma next to the darts in the book and it was stuck in my head lol

My friend managed to get a sealed boxed unused set of the originals and also the same with the Atlantis 95% £45 pound each now these have came out
It’s sad to say but I think the old darts are better then what we get today just 4 times to price and harrows are shockingly underrated as them magnums are better then any target darts I’ve used and I actually throw carrera’s and always have so respect to Harrows and keeping there price at £49 posted for 97% tungsten darts

@@JustGoingWithTheJoe I never got the 97% Magnum Anniversary ones, I got to choose what they sent and as I had already reviewed the updated version and I think I had or still have some originals I went with the others in the launch. But its all down to what individuals like, I like old darts and I like new darts too, but prices were crazy when tungsten darts first came out, then it got cheaper and now its crazy again but machining and coatings have advanced more but most people still prefer a simple style. No not taking anything specific right now but I do take some now and then, I have some turmeric powder which I make a hot drink with milk :)
That board will sell out, I just want to have a go at it 😂

Brass look nice but can’t understand why companies are still making brass darts, surely not much call for them anymore. Maybe I’m missing something!! 😂

With Tungsten darts getting more and more expensive brass barrels make perfect sense for beginners getting into darts.
I'm a beginner and i don't mind paying 20eu for such a cool looking set. Would not buy them if they were tungsten and 90eu. So for someone like me, who likes to experiment with different shapes and looks and lengths, they are a great option. On my board i could easily fit 4 of these darts into the triples. They aren't as thick as people make them seem out to be.
Can you review unicorn amethyst 4?

The protech darts were the best of the lot, others looked a bit weird to me🤔 And isnt Rydz using one of the heritage-range darts at the moment, so the look on these new ones dont make sense to me🤔 PS. I want that catalogue🤩😄
Not sure what Rydz is using now tbh, he may not use the new ones, might just be a player endorsed set like they do :)
I dont know what its with all the 80% darts.. love the simple grip of the Flair series, but since they are all 80% ( and it shows in the measurements as well ) they are not an option..
nothing wrong with 80%, just means its a bit cheaper but still works fine :)
@@DartsReviewChannel Problem is not quality or how they work, more like space in the board. I throw either 23 or 24g and 80% barrels are just too thick, compared to 90%.
For example the Flair 5 is 50.80 long and 6.9 thick at 24g, while in comparison the RD Amberjack 5 is just 6.35 thick at the same length and weight.
Thats over .5 mm difference what is very noticable in space in the board.
@@BS-jn9kh I prefer the thicker barrel but as with everything in darts it's all about what the individual likes best but a few do well with thick barrels, Lowe, Taylor, Searle all use barrels thicker than 7mm. 😊

Can´t imagine this new board being on the market for too long. Probably a more difficult task to readjust your aim when you´re used to the oversized segments than it is to properly learn double and triple shots on a normal board. It can surely provide beginners with more frequent moments of success, but will not make it easier to hit stuff on a normal board, maybe even does the opposite.
PS: Once again, Unicorn managed to pour out a bunch of darts I couldn´t be less interested in buying. U still stuck in the 80s.
Which is why I am just not sure if its a good or bad idea. :)

I am sorry but Unicorn isn't no longer the most innovative en creative darts manufacturer. Alle of the other brands have 1 of more special sets in their launch but Unicorn has only remakes of player darts for example the Michael Smiths/pro techs

@@hubbitut well its not going to make much difference on barrels with wide flat bull noses and some people like the lip as its where they rest their finger and if the barrel is aggressive grip eliminating the lip is not going to make much difference at stopping flight damage anyway as the barrel will cause just as much damage, but its nice to have the choice to use such points if you need them :)
Nothing i liked from unicorn
I like the Ross Smith barrels quite a bit and will probably buy a set, but I’ll pass on everything else. I’m not much a fan of Unicorn. I also think that board isn’t for anyone but maybe some people who aren’t very serious when they play and just want to mess about. Thanks for sharing, though, matey
