What Animals will we see in Bloomburrow?!

But what animals and in what colours can we expect to see?

the badger art is destroying a squirrel skull/skeleton though. could be a rivalry in that color scheme or something story related.

Gruul was my first thought too. Choosing Rakdos was largely process of elimination.
Is it official that Jace won't be in the set? It might be too early to say, but could still be indicative of prominent creatures.

the badger's claw has a bit of fieriness to it that made me think badgers were going to be red/green also the destroyed background being black green could be a reason he's crushing a squirrel skull

There might actually be some "class" kindred synergies (like rogue or wizard), just because there don't seem to be any shapeshifters on the plane, which means that it would be really hard to create a set based around ten diferecreature types if they couldn't overlap. But this way you could have a black squirrel warlock and it would fit into both, let's say, green-black squirrels and black-red warlocks...?

They've been seeding animal cards in sets for the past year. I would look at those and see what colors they've been putting them in. Racoons for example are green. Lots of cards that didn't need to be otters were printed in red and blue.
Fully agree! I think my predictions mostly line up with what we've seen, except for Lizards and Foxes, which admittedly are the ones I'm the least confident on.
I believe there was mention that a lot of these animals have been seeded in previous sets. Raccoons have been set up in Gruul colours, Squirrels have a few BG cards, Bats have one White card and one UB card in standard so could go either way etc. What I think is interesting is that Foxes are almost always align with White (Kitsune on Kamigawa, and more recently in Wilds of Eldraine) and with Jace appearing as a Fox it makes me wonder if UW will be foxes. The Family Matters precon looks like it depicts a crane which would go with the "make offspring" idea so might be the red herring.

My heavy upgraded Nalia party time deck will be adding maybe 1-3 of these critters given some of them are just mono B/W colors. I think it would be hella cool swinging in with a rouge otter or a wizard frog :D

I would guess that squirrels might be just black and foxes might be just blue. Damn iam excited for this set. I think its going to be a very very cool set, thats finally gonna feel like magic again. Not like fallout or lotr (although liked theses to somewhat, they didnt feel like magic)

I’m not sure if the types will be strictly locked to each color pair. It would make more sense to play fast and loose with type coloring, like in Ikoria. Not sure though.
I highly doubt they will be locked. Frogs in the past have been in dimir colours

Foxes isnt one of the typals
Birds, badgers, lizards, raccoon, rabbit, bats, otter, squirrel, mouse, frog are the typal synergies.
That's why you accidentally got 11, you added one that isn't there. The Fox Jace was stated to be a what-if, not a creature we will see (not saying it isn't in the set, it's just gonna be a planeswalker or one of the "1-ofs" Mark Rosewater said will be in).

I hope the badgers will be Orshov, and I think the bats will be Dimir
The badger wont be Black Green. The background shows that he just demolished a Squirrel camp, which might be enemies in this set as well, since the squirrel thats spoiled as a commander is a Golgari necromancer. Think it will be Gruul.
The way I see it:
Blue red = Otter
Red White = Mouse
Green White = Rabbit
Red Green = Racoon
Black Green = Squirrel
Bird possibly Blue white Frog Blue Green. Fox blue and something else.
We have no certainty on Bats, Badgers and Lizards.
We have a Bears mono color green maybe some species will be monocolored.
Like the characters without guild in ravnica.

Are they breaking their (outside of Universes Beyond) short lived "one Planeswalker per set" rule or does the magic that turned them into animals make their Planeswalker spark dormant? Or is Ral not actually a Planeswalker anymore?
Apparently Ral is going to be the planeswalker of the set, and Jace is part of a bonus sheet called "Imagine: Courageous Critters". I don't think we know the specifics of how these cards work yet, but likely just an art treatment for reprints.
I'm hoping for some spiders, but there is 0% chance of that going to happen
