I like that Mario can actually avoid obstacles in this animation without having to die to them first. So many other similar animations have Mario constantly losing lives to every single obstacle he ever comes across, which makes them pretty predictable.

Also, most deaths make (some sense) like for instance, you wouldn't expect 2 moles busting out of the wall

Yes. He needs some variety in his tactics.
Maybe poison could be the way to go. After all, just one touch of a slow-acting poison could kill, without the target ever knowing what caused the problem in the first place. And if it backfires, it can be treated in time.
How about using his skills from Bowser's Inside Story to attack Mario!

Funny thing, I'm currently making a level like that
I remade Bob-omb's Underground Maze back in 2019, and a few people remade the Great Goomba Pyramid (they were really fun to play), but imma be real with you, I forgot the level IDs for them all. When next I boot up Mario Maker 2, I'll let y'all know
I actually remade this one in Mario maker, it’s a bit different, I gave it a sand theme instead of the castle theme, and the boss is boom boom instead of Bowser.

I love watching Level Up, especially ones like these, especially both in the morning at in the evening (it was the evening when I wrote this and watched this video) I also loved how this was more realistic, like mario getting burned or getting eaten of blown up, rather than him just landing on a muncher and getting sent up and then falling threw the ground, which makes no sense, it made sense that the muncher actually ate him. Anyways oh and the details of the bumper's eyes changing when they touched the lava

Excellent. Really love the spiderwebs, that's a great feature. The fact that you made the pinball rings actual monsters with eyes is very clever. Also, Mario's ability to army-crawl, leap off walls, and cling to ledges adds an additional dimension to the gameplay. Love it. Great job!
