Sounds like an awesome place to live. I prefer cold over hot/humid weather.
Totallly! Yes i absolutely love it here
Love your enthusiasm!
Thanks!!
how was it adjusting to the winters? i've lived in Reno and seattle and had to deal with snow more so in reno than in the latter, but I know upstate NY has it beat. Hows all the seasons? do you guys get 4 seasons? i'm considering buffalo or philly for my next adventure -- just returned from the PNW back to the bay area
I actually found your channel while looking at videos from vloggers living in buffalo and philly -- just wanted to say you have such a contagious positive energy and i'm glad I found your channel!
Ahhh I’m soo happy you found my channel! Your comment just made my day 🫶🥰 it definitely was hard to adjust to the winters but the summer makes up for it! We definitely get all 4 seasons! You should totally come visit in the spring!!
I am in town for work and i love your chanel
That makes me so happy!

I had a roommate in Brooklyn who was born and raised in Buffalo. She hated it because she couldn't stand the cold.
Haha totally understandable
It’s not for everyone.
Buffalo proud!! It’s so true too about Bflo being a central location. Super close to all the other major east coast cities!
🫶🫶🫶🫶
No its not lol.NYC is a lot more centrally located
@@highlymedicated2438 for sure but Buffalo is really close to a lot of cities too
Just came over from your other why you love Buffalo video…I visit a few times a year, but I can’t deal with the lack of bright sunshine. I find I miss the Florida sun after about a week.
Haha that’s fair! I totally get that!! Thanks for watching 🥰
Wow. You don't say....at least it's cheap.
CZcams recommended vid...I moved here in 2005...from Long Island also (Mastic is where I graduated HS) . This winter, having a Very hard time with freezing temperatures (also, i live in a suburb, fortunately been WFH since pandemic)
Sooo glad you found my video! Love meeting a fellow Long Island native ☺️ gotta love WFH life during Buffalo winters, right!?
@@jbethjs yep...I don't think I can ever drive in snow again...
@@auxbonnieux haha get yourself some winter tires! They will change your life in Buffalo!!
Thanks for the update! I’m moving back after 40 years . Can’t wait!
Yayyy!!! Buffalo can’t wait to have you!
Great video, interested in more about the city. Subscribed!
Thanks so much!!!! So happy you’re here 😅 what do you want to see in particular?!
What about the winters? Is it as bad as everyone says? I also hear a lot that the job market is bad.
The winters can definitely be tough although this winter hasn’t been bad! And the job market isn’t great but it’s also not awful.
Love Buffalo….. but property taxes are crazy high so you pay taxes instead of equity on your home….. also state income taxes….. ridiculous…..
Totallly hear that!! Thanks for sharing!!!
Since when is a 20 minute drive short? If you have to drive there it's already quite far away, but 20 minutes is a lot (at least in my opinion)
YES ! “Buffalo’s got a spirit … Talkin’ PROUD ! Talkin’ PROUD ! “ An old, vintage jingle from the early 1970s. More than that though; it was … that sense of Pride that you feel as a Buffalonian, too ! You totally get it, & you embody it, Julia ! Woo hoo ! There were Talkin’ Proud buttons, too. Probably bumper stickers, the whole nine. Can find the old jingles here on y’tube. And yes I am obsessed with our architecture !! Especially Gold Dome …. Or …. Buffalo Savings Bank as it was once called. Thanks for making this wonderful video. Right with ya, Girl !
Thank you sooo so much, Liz!!! I so appreciate you. Your comments mean the world to me and i really am so proud to live in Buffalo!
Buffalo LOVES having you here, Julia ! Your infectious smile, unstoppable work ethic, poz vibes, awesome & inspirational style, highly relevant business ideas … & on & on make you a huge asset to B’lo & WNY ! Welcome Home !
Great video!
Thank you!!!
The snow?
What about it? Haha
Beats hurricanes. You just stay home.
Ah Lady, love downtown and the waterfront but explore our city and present the rich panorama of its art, architecture, history, culinary, breweries, retail, affordable living and etc, etc. Welcome to our city. I came from Europe at age 10 and I have treasured its great history for 72 years.
🥰🥰🫶 absolutely love that!!
👍
Buffalo city is a very beautiful city. I am watching your video from Bangladesh.. Very nice. Wish you all the best❤❤❤

Awww thank you so much
Why I love living in Buffalo, NY...You are always drunk? So you know: Canalside it an open sewer when it rains, those aren't Snickers bars. (Born and Raised, got out).
This comment makes very little sense but have a great day, Dave! Haha
I love buffalo as well. I can't wait to get back to my weekly visits
Awwww Buffalo loves you back!
I grew up in Buffalo. Another thing you can add. The overall quality of the Public Schools. New York State consistently rates in the top 10 overall for school quality. The New York Regents systems is amazing. I teach and live in Michigan and we have nothing comparable. (Michigan ranks in the bottom 1/2 of public education). I went to Cheektowaga and Williamsville Public Schools and received a 1st class education.
Absolutely LOVE this comment! You’re so right!!

As a former New Yorker that went to Buffalo State University in the 1980s and have returned to visit in 2021 and 2022 I have to say I was delighted with the changes. We did the U2 Reunion Tour there and the water front. I'm a casino guy and loved the casino downtown. Elmwood Village which for me was Elmwood Ave closer to the college. Love the expansion of places like Panos (the original was so tiny). Great microbreweries around and much more restaurants. I will say that Buffalo always had great bars and food even 35+ years ago. Still has that warm feeling to it for wine and dine or beer. Yes.
Yessss!! There’s been so so much development! Love your comment thanks so much for watching and sharing
Buffalo, where 10% of the streets have striping, the bridges are deteriorated, the leadership is corrupt and the segregation is striking. For many outsiders, especially those who have already f'd up the places that used to be affordable and cool, buffalo seems like an oasis of cheap housing and great art. The artists are what makes the town special,,the dime a dozen mediocre hipster/yupsters are as ordinary as any strip mall in the US, you can and them drinking beer at any of the usual spot for that kind of crowd. Ask black people on the Eastside what they love about Buffalo, the community that a gunman traveled several hours to target the most "black" and segregated zip code to murder people while shopping.. We have a sound pro-Palestine movement, lots of great Yemeni bodegas, Halal supermarkets and these are the true entrepreneurs keeping Buffalo going block by block. It's a great place for artisanal gentrifiers to start a shop that wouldn't d very well in a more developed city. Buffalo is desperate.
Thanks for your feedback
Probably one of the hundred+ people that walk their apartment dogs on Seneca st,,I always feel bad for the Apartment Dogs that have to do there thing in a tiny chainlink cage outside or on the sidewalk and spend too much time in a cage 😔@@jbethjs
@@dog_biter my dog spends no time in a cage; we got rid of his crate when he turned 2.
dog biter: You are 100% correct...Buffalo is HORRIBLE!!!!!!
@@jeanlittle405 nobody said that… are you okay??
Aside from the rough winters, if you can’t find things to like about Buffalo, you simply aren’t trying. #facts #buffalove
YESSSSS AGREEED
Many Buffalonians (myself included) have the means to move away but choose to stay because we love it! Hard stop!
I will be honest, if they had completed the entire subway system citywide instead of just Main Street this city would be a baby NYC. I will log off now because I will be attacked for this***
You’re not wrong. But I guess it’s part of Buffalo’s “Underdog Charm” that the subway wreaked so much havoc on Main St businesses for so many years, & only had a lil five mile subway to show for it in the end ! Itz SO Buffalo tho, isn’t it? ! That said, I use the subway. It’s still useful.
I feel they could do better with transit. Even if it was just more buses
Thank you for sharing a great video about Buffalo. 🦬! We love to travel, but every time we touch back down in Buffalo, we breathe a sigh of relief. It’s more laid back, less expensive, great food, friendly people. We help each other thru the blizzards and then really enjoy our summers! Thanks again for sharing your enthusiasm about our home. 😀
Awww thank you sooo much! This means the world to me to read 🥰 I’m so happy you appreciate the video and my enthusiasm
