  • In this episode, I take an old military Jeep engine shipping containers and turn it into a Star Wars room prop. My Glowforge needed a better table and inspired by the Disneyland Galaxys Edge containers in the ship docked above, I took inspiration and build my own version on them.
    This video is a "53 Cent Production". Written, filmed, and edited by Shawn Cash, produced by Heather Atherton and Shawn Cash.

      Thank you! I am pretty happy with it too! Now I have to get rid of the paper cups and find a way to weather the Glowforge!

    Pretty awesome finished piece. I like how you incorporated the rust from the container into your other paint treatments.

      Thanks Wayne! That actually turned out to be harder than I thought it was going to be to get the red chipping how I wanted it to look to expose that!

    Love how this project turned out! I like seeing that Evil Ted greeblie on the lamp, since I've got that mold, too!

    I’m glad you finished that Beotch! I love your videos, and the pod-cashes. Those make me laugh. Keep up the good work.

    Great project bro! Love the lighting behind the scomp link. Love that you had a great way to use it for your glowforge.

    Hey! You finished something! Woohoo!!! Lol
    I know you’ve finished far more things than I have, but, just had to…
    Now that pristine Glowforge needs to blend in with everything else. I’m still in awe with your ability to add years of use/abuse, wear and tear, weathering, grime, and character in only a few hours. I doubt I’ll ever get to your level, but I try my best to not suck. Hopefully that $0.53 has grown to at least a whole dollar by now. 😎

      I have seen some great stuff made with smaller containers… even something like a storage bin from Home Depot or an ice chest! Can’t wait to see what you make!

    Another excellent project and video Mr Cash, fits in perfectly with your theme and backstory 👌🏼
    I can’t believe people didn’t get the joke regarding the panel and have unsubscribed as a result? Some people take life far too seriously sadly so don’t let it phase you. As you say, you’re not making a living from it and do it for the enjoyment and satisfaction so just enjoy it and carry on regardless as they say.
    It’s their loss not yours in reality and it’s them who miss out on your awesome content.
    I’ve learnt so much from watching you weather projects and it’s encouraged me to start creating myself, albeit on a much lower level 😂
    Anyway, as always. All the best from me and mine to you and yours 👍🏼

    First off, the thirst trap had me dying. Too funny.
    Second, the joke video by Martin was hilarious. And the light Ryan reynolds/ Hugh jackman faux feud you have going with Martin is gold
    Thirdly (yep, I said it)…don’t stop the podcashes…they’re awesome
    Lastly, that container is so Rad. You have my address. Just let me know what the shipping cost is. Hopefully not too much, as I’m on the hook for$1M on the S/H for Kelly Sterne’s Indiana Jones prop

    I love a good wall wart but I'm always wary of the ones that are adjustable if you're using them at less than their maximum setting. They have a tendency to magically get knocked up to their max setting which can fry your electronics (Assuming you didn't include over Voltage protection).

    • @trytofinishsomething
      @trytofinishsomething  Před rokem +1

      I didn’t … this particular one only has a 9V max so it’s perfect for these (probably also why these are cheaper)!

    • @ekij133
      @ekij133 Před rokem

      @@trytofinishsomething These days I tend to use the USB wall-warts which are very inexpensive and build a USB A or B into my electronics allowing be to connect them with a USB lead of whatever length I need and no chance of the wrong Voltage being applied as USB is always 5V.
