TTFS: Andor Series Blaster Prop

- In this episode, I took a break from speed builds to make the prop baster used by Cassian Andor in the Disney+ Andor services. I try out some new techniques (to me) to get a real used-blaster-feel and create some wood grain effects on the blaster grips using a modified technique I learned from @WesleyTreat! #starwars #starwarsandor #maker
This video is a "53 Cent Production". Written, filmed, and edited by Shawn Cash, produced by Heather Atherton and Shawn Cash.

Great job ! Love how the gun turned out ! Can’t wait to see you fill you’re gun case
I have to make the case first!!! ;)
You are the best!
Huh? At what? ;) … thanks Kim!
You do whatever/make you want to do buddy!! You're smart and inventive. Keep up the great work :-)
Thanks Joshua! Hopefully even those that don’t care about the specific project may be able to apply something from it to their own likes!
Love it! I’ve used that wood stain technique a few times. It looks great but takes forever to dry.
Yes … yes … yes … dear God yes!
Wow…. Awesome job on this one.. you can really see the detail you put into the handle of the gun. I love the little video at the end.
Thank you very much Michael!
As always, great work. Make the content you want to make, don't worry about it only being Star Wars or not.
Thank you … kind of my thought too! Oh well! I watch so many things I don’t do or have a direct interest in and you would be amazed the ideas it gives you to create in a theme you DO enjoy!
pretty great looking blaster.
Much appreciated Wayne!
This is rad, and your videos are always entertaining.
Thank you Cory! Now I have to find a place to store it!!
Great job, as usual. I liked the Wednesday build, too, btw.
Thank you kind sir!!$
I could watch you weather things all day long! Really well done!
Thanks Ron! I feel like a one trick pony! Trying some new things!
Kudos for getting the movie prop work! That is awesome. This build turned out great. I always learn a new trick from watching your projects!
Thanks and I am excited to get working on it! Don’t know filming dates yet!
I need it!!😂
Love it Shawn!!! The painting and weathering are fantastic!!
Thank you kind sir!!
I know those green containers 😉…
As always, a fantastic build Mr Cash and something I need to do. I’m planning on an armoury type display and need to get some blasters printed. What puts me off is the painting and weathering, you make it look effortless but I’m well aware it’s a skill.
On a side note, I’ve not watched your Wednesday video funnily enough but the reason is I’ve not watched the series yet so avoided it so I don’t see/hear any spoilers but will watch it once I’m caught up. I’d love to see an assassin/spy build, it’s interesting and offers another chance to learn from watching you bring your builds to life. I loved the Indiana Jones diary you did as an example.
Keep up the great videos and as always, all the best from me and mine to you and yours good sir.
Thanks Steve! I need to do something with those green containers, but they looked great “as is” for the video!
@@trytofinishsomething I agree, maybe dirty them up a little, add a single LED to the top/lid and a few decals? You could probably call it done (although we all know that’s far too simple for you and you’ll blow it out the water and wow us yet again). I’ll be watching closely though so I can replicate it with mine 😂
We all have those we turn to for weathering techniques. You sir are top of my list. 👍
You are WAY TOO NICE! Thank you very much! Hope me learning stuff helps someone else!
This is Awesome build. Even when you had to move from room to room.😀
Sorry about that! Thank you!!
That was awesome Shawn! Man it looks so awesome! That guy must really have his resin printer dialed in. Always a treat bud! Thanks for vid!
They do amazing work … so do you! I have a plan for an upcoming build filled with your rockers!
@@trytofinishsomething that sounds great!
Super Rad Andor blaster. Loved the tutorial techniques and the end result. Made me remember the show I absolutely love because it’s so spot on. And Kelly…very cool panel. And the trailer rocks!!! Wait, it came at the end, so post-trailer? Idk. Lol
Thanks Garland! Making it made me want to watch it again … so I started it over!

Exactly!!!
Man this is epic.. I plan to build one too at some point! Great video man 👊
Thanks James! Now hurry up and finish Bo’s ship so I can print it!! ;)
Another awesome video, sir! Love seeing your geek flag fly, as always!
Thanks Shawn!!
Nicely done! The real world weathering effects turned out amazing! The level of detail you add to your builds always blows my mind!
I have a bit of a problem with detail, but thank you so much!
Looks amazing and what great detail on the grips.
Thank you very much … I kind of lost a ton of time obsessing on that!
@@trytofinishsomething It was well worth it and was great to see you take the time on this piece. A true hero piece for display!
@@TekGeekDad thank you … it was fun, but during the build I kept coming up with new projects!
Keep up the great work!
Thank you very much!!
Another great build, as always!
Slightly off topic, but, in your other videos you're always trying to recreate a rust effect and I was wondering if you've heard of this amazing stuff called "Dirty Down Rust" ?
It makes a great rust effect with one step. You've probably heard of it, I just thought I'd put it out there. I love your builds, always excited to see you upload.
I have some! I haven’t used it yet!!
… thank you for the kind words and time watching!!
hey. I remember you. 🤣
I know … been a while!
Andorable
I see what you did there ;)
Awesome build!!! What happen to your paper paint plate ?
Hahahaha! Sad thing is … I STILL HAVE IT!
Why didn't you put in electronics?
I don’t have them and was trying to figure out what is needed! I MAY do another if I get the electronics together!
