Thank you for making the show possible. 🙂
Thank you for dedicating yourself to bringing philosophy to the people in an easily digestible way. You're a saint, good sir
Man, I'm a Brazilian Sociology teacher and last week I've planned an activity that consisted in producing a podcast episode ON THE CONCEPT OF WEBER'S IRON CAGE!!! And, since we're talking about the desenchantment of the world, I feel somehow we are spiritually connected! And it was a great episode, I loved your examples.
Been aching for a new episode!
I'll never have enough money to pay what this show is worth to me, but I'm going to be contributing to your patreon when I get paid.
Thank you so much, Stephen!
It’s been out for a while now on apple podcast
Love this, NEW EPISODE! Ive been rewatching from the start. Thank you Steven. You have changed my life and showed me something new I never knew I loved.
Yay new episode! Thank you 🙏🏾
My fav teacher
I didn't know philosophize This had a CZcams channel. I've been listening to this podcast on Spotify for years, it is my number one favorite podcast of all time. Steven West is a genius level thinker, he really unpacks big ideas and puts the cookies on the bottom shelf so everyone can understand.
Love this! Philosophize This!, Kurzgesagt, School of Life, Ted-ED, NerdWriter1.
Stephen i know it's a podcast but it will be great for you to hire an editor that can displya your words in images in order to be more atractive on youtube. I really like the show how it is, but it could be an upgrade that could attract more people so you get more supported.
Thank you. Bar my parents, you're the first person to really engage my mind and make me think. I love this podcast and you are a truly amazing host.
I've listened to everyone. It was my introduction to podcasts. It came about in a Nietzsche, Marx, and Freud class and the prof recommended the ones on Feuerbach and Marx and religion. Was immediately hooked. If you like West, bet you'd like Mike Duncan too. Similar sensibility and same quality.
Excellent writing, clear explanations. Subbed.
I just recently discovered this amazing podcast through Spotify while browsing through podcasts to listen to while doing some homework. It is great, absolutely spectacular. I love philosophy and this is great!
You are honestly awesome. Loving the show. Thanks a lot.
Thank you! This podcast is amazing. Greetings from El Salvador.
Excellent, thank you!
Brother finally a new episode what happened been needing my philosophy fix for a long time now.
Amazing episode
A Hermann Lotze episode would be much appreciated - thank you for the consideration and good work thus far.
Great stuff!! PLEASE do a podcast on the Vedas and their philosophy!
Excellent postcast. Subscribed!
I miss this podcast. Hopefully it comes back
I absolutely love your podcasts. I was wondering if you'd go more in depth about other fallacies, I know a bunch you briefly go though on your show, but would definitely love to learn more how to detect them as well. I know you had an episode pertaining to this, and wanted to do continuance. Definitely hope you'd be open to the idea.
Thank youuuuuuuuuuuu
Awwww yeeeah! Getting into my boy Whitehead!
Hey! thank you so much for all that wisdom :)
Wondering if you will be doing an episode on John Stuart Mill?
Bergson? Very nice. If the listeners have any sense, this and Deleuze will turn them into fast, fast people.
Wow.
Please do a video on "Ancient Judaism" by Max Weber.
Nice
Can we expect podcasts on eastern philosophy in the future?
hey, I've been listening for a while and I know he mentions it in an episode, but can someone tell me who the bust used as the logo is?
Thales of Miletus, I believe
Does this information come from one Max Weber book? I would love to read it. Does anyone know which book it is?
The idea of modernity being like an iron cage comes from The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism by Max Weber.
Nicely explained! But to make it more attractive please insert some animations and graphics in lecture to avoid boredom
Where are the other episodes? It's been a while
Can you please recommend podcast like this one
24:27 and following-is that solipsism?
You ought to do an episode on Ernst Junger
you are amazig
And that's why those who learn to adapt to changing circumstances do better--changes in work, home, community, relationships, etc. Yeah ... kind of like social Darwinism.
Please do a video about some less commonly talked about non-Western philosophers
If you can not explain it in simple terms, how well do you understand the concept. I wonder the ignorance your teachers laid like honey upon you, unbeknownst you were the Bee. I've liked, subbed and shared your channel with multiple friends just today. You're as rare as a parhelion to those that never met the sea.
Magic dies when you know how the trick is performed. This is the curse of reason. Science is literally a process of killing of magic and wonder. In Star Trek there is endless wonder. Here on Earth, there is finite wonder. What I would give to be on a star ship exploring new worlds.
