I love that you can play as Coco, I really wished you could play as her more as a kid.

I think that when you play as Coco you should have a Coco lives icon instead of Crashes. Anyone else think this?
I do. I was wondering the exact same thing myself.
It's because Coco collected Crash lives even in the original third game. If she were to have her own, then Coco and Crash could amass a different number of lives. Coco lives were not introduced until The Wrath of Cortex, which wasn't made by Naughty Dog.
Enigmatism415 no they could have the same amount of lives but they just change the icon when Coco is played it's that simple just use two icons for 1 lives counter it's really not that hard to get your head around
She is a secondary character after all
Then the reason is to be more faithful to the originals, where Coco collected Crash lives and Coco lives didn't exist. Remember that in the case of the first two games, Coco wasn't 'invited' to begin with. She's sneaking into levels that were meant for Crash.
Kids watching this be like "Wow, cool! They made a real game out of that one game in Uncharted 4!"

I heard they watched speed runners and purposefully added in some of the glitches in some levels
I guess that means the Brio glitch will not be here ether. =(
It's there just not as obvious you can see it for literally half a second at 8:06 and around 8:08-8:09 if you miss it watch the video on your computer and slow it down to 0.25 you can see it quite clearly
No, in the original, you could use the glitched double jump to acquire the red gem. That's no longer possible here, since it's placed further up.
Hahaha look again, it's there, I saw a pinky red thing, bloody thing, never knew how to get that =P
This sequel definitely will please the old school fans. In another hand, also this game will be easy one for trophy hunters. I guess everyone will be happy!

Well I believe that at least the first game will be more than decent challenge when it comes to trophies. Levels like Slippery Climb, High Road or Sunset Vista will be pain in the ass when you want to do Time Trial. Platinum in Crash 2 and Crash 3 should be very possible to achieve though.
I cannot WAIT for this game! I played the originals back from the PS1 days and continued to try and 100% them on my PS2(backwards compatibility)and I couldn't get enough Crash Bandicoot. Glad to see the series' return and a full remaster.
Suddenly, gems in Boulder levels have become 100% more easier to obtain.

The stone goes very slow. In the original if you stumble once you thought you were dead.
The boxes counted as broken if the boulder hit them in the original series as well.
Persona X especially in boulder dash God I fucking hate that level... getting the gem for it was a pain

Love it how, on ice, Coco skates like she does in Crash Bash. Not sure if it that was the idea, but I think it's bloody fantastic anyhow and certainly increases them nostalgia levels

Agh man the memories. I remember getting my PS1 for an end of the school year present and getting this game with it :P Loved the boss battles, bike/dinosaur and weapons.
Looks stunning, my jaw pretty much dropped when I saw the Snow Go level, I can tell the amount of work and care that's gone into this, how a remake or remaster should be done. All other game makers take notes, lots of notes! ; )
Can't wait to play it.

I've been on PSNProfiles.com for a few years so i got early access look at the trophy lists and it seems like an easy 3 Platinums :) a few trophies aside, but i also remember the game getting fairly tough during later levels although I have like a decade of extra experience behind me now.
I can probably guess that all 3 Platinum trophies are beat all the crash games?
The bulk of the original challenge of the Crash games was a pretty shit saving system. That has been properly sorted out so these platinums should be pretty easy. You even only need to get the "Gold Relics" for Time Trials and not the "Platinum Relics" so yeah should be pretty breezy.

They could have easily made the Platinums for all three games hard by requiring Platinum Relics for each level.

Everything is great but my ONLY complaint are the animations when Crash and Coco get out/get into the portal in Crash 2 being the same as the Crash 1 animations. I loved the entrance animation from Crash 2 :(

One thing that really bugs me the volume of the music. Why is it so low? I know I can adjust the settings, but why should I even do that? I have never had to touch the settings to adjust the sound effects and music.

I noticed on some gameplay videos the boulders dont jump like they do in the old games. I think they did that so you have to break the boxes makes it harder, Pay attention next time you play you will see.
Some levels didn't have the boulder jump,, so it hit the boxes and it counted, there is one level where it hits electric fences and bounces over the box however.
Right that's it.
With making them both playable i wish it was coop- still really happy though

In Crash 1 boulder wasn't destroying crates itself,you had to crash all them yourself,I can't remember if the same was in crash 2, and in crash 1 there were not special moves like slide tackle not mention special powers from warped

Hang Em High looks briilliant. But please fix the water in Tomb Wader, it looks fucking horrible. it looks like blue fog/mist. doesnt even look like water at all.
