- On this episode of Gritty Bowmen we show you EXACTLY what is in our packs WHILE on the mountain. We talk about clothing, stoves, cook stoves, shelters, floor-less shelters, knives, lanterns, headlamps, first aid, fire starter, food, backpacks, fishing tackle, camera gear, sleeping pads and more.
Awesome guy's, thanks for sharing, I'm starting over and it's good to see some new ideas, i don't put my trust in alot of people, but you; Aron and Cameron Haynes are people i admire and trust to be honest.
God bless you all.

Awesome episode guys Learning a lot from you both love that Kifaru tent
Aron, I always take a few 1 qt. freezer bags. they make great urinals. unzip it in your sleeping bag, pee in it, zip it up and set on
the ground outside the bag. I empty the freezer bag in the morning, I stuff the trash I plan to pack out in it. Never had a leak in the bag
Nice episode!
A-men on the land, our beautiful land
long time fan from Ontario Canada, I have watched many of your podcasts, and have yet to see any info on how you deal with black flies/mosquitoes/ deer flies? not sure how it is where you are, but it gets pretty bad here in the spring, early summer.
Thanks, for all you guys do. keep it up
I got to use my sawtooth last fall deer season, and again this spring for deer. I haven't used the stove yet, but I already can see the benefits of floorless. I can walk in with boots on NP. I can cook in my shelter (not in griz country) so that was nice. Still trying to dial in the sleep system though. I slide all over the damn place on top of my sleeping pad and tyvek. I also need a bigger bag. I run the WM badger, but its still not big enough. I cant stand the mummy feel. Aron...will I gain some space in the Kifaru synthetic bag over the badger? I will have to check out the specs and do some comparisons between the badger and your Kifaru bags...Stay Gritty!
If you guys are camping below tree line, have you considered using a camping hammock and tarp as your shelter and sleep system?
I've been a fan since" why's my pack so freak'n heavy or was it expensive", but Sitka work gloves? Com on Man. lol. I guess I need to trash my First Lite Uncompahgre for some Sitka gear. Ok I'm done, love your work Man, keep it up.
haha...don't make fun of my sensitive hands:)
Regarding Aron's comment about rolling off sleeping pad, would
Kifaru consider a shock cord or sleeve type feature on the slick bags to keep pad under you? I love my 20 degree slick bag but when I bought a 0 degree I went to big Agnes really just for the pad sleeve feature.
The modified toothbrush, where's the combat spoon?
@gritty bowman. how did you set up the sheep tarp to use it as a shelter? if you use sticks in the middle, I'm afraid you get wet because its too small.
What was the knife you mentioned "SE"?

Just wondering why you guys have moved completely away from First Lite for clothing? Or is it just because you're working with Sitka nowadays?
They addressed that a few weeks ago. I don't remember the episode but they go over it.
Cool. Thanks for the reply, appreciate it.
what's the name of that broadhead sharpener you mentioned?
What is the Tito knife?

Aron, do you carry the lost park parka ? How does it work with you clothing system?
Bend Oregon fuck yea man lol
spring for turkey...LOL..not deer. I need to get some sleep.
Awesome gear that Sitka put out but way to expensive for the average hunter . Just like the Crispi boots very nice boots way to expensive. Only reason a lot of you guys have them is because of your advertising other than that you couldn't afford them. All in all great products how about sharing the wealth and not just with you good friends. Oh next video remember what your product names are lol.
I like the vids with you and Brian shooting the shit a lot better. I would just make short 5-10 minute vids when you change out 1 or 2 pieces of gear.
