- Hey guys, today's standard is a standard that I've discovered with Django, it's called "I"ll see you in my dreams". It is also very known for a later Chet Atkins version. It was composed in 1924 by Isham Jones and Gus Kahn. I'll decided to change the posting time for my videos, it might be more convenient for the US followers since I'll post on Tuesdays and Fridays at 12am Paris time (6am east cost).
I'm playing a 1939 Gibson L5, strung with Thomastik nickel round wound strings gauge 12. I'm using a purple Dunlop .71mm pick, and the sound is captured with a Neumann TLM 103.

Very smooth
Hey thanks
Excellent, perfect guitar for that tune, full body, no electrics. . Singing as always in the "tone" of the period. Thanks.
Thanks Jeff ! It has a punchy rythm sound quite bright that gives a slight gypsy touch that suits the song well. A friend of mine own it in east of France ;)
Virtuoso playing brother. In my dreams I play that good lol.

Swing master
Oohhh. One of my favorite songs. Great job. That guitar looks brand new. How's could it be so old???
Thanks Joe ! This one had a little overspray if i recall well, it could explain the mint and shiny look. Also no cracks etc. Way different look than my 36 L5 that has a lot of play wear and is only 3 years older
Хорошо поет!!!
So good
That solo! He's shredding on a '39 L5!
Ahahah yes man !!
One of my favorite songs played by one of my favorite players. The Gibson ain’t bad either. Time for tea and blueberry cake
