It seems like the NET house was left in by accident. NET itself had ceased to be by this point and a few other shows this week ended "street level" to hide its absence. Either way this is the last time it was ever shown in anything that wasn't a rerun.

Maybe this episode was produced when NET was still around for the last few months and ended up airing it 5 months since after PBS was launched, replacing the predecessor NET.

This episode also marked the beginning of _MRN_ writer Eliot Daley's tenure as funding credits announcer, as you'll hear at the start here.

It should also be noted that this was a brand new NET House, complete with an abnormally large antenna.

I never noticed that the NET house was different from previous seasons, that's interesting. So that one only lasted one episode. Episode 1134 is the one that has the tall building completely missing, that must have been the second episode taped for the 1971 season. The tan/brown brick building used for the rest of 1971 appeared to be a repaint of the final NET building, and was slightly modified a couple times throughout the season.

I'm pretty sure this episode was produced when NET was still around for the last few months, but this episode was aired just 5 months after it got rebranded to PBS, hence why the model of the NET house appeared.

If you put on great headphones. You could hear the echo of the 1971 PBS logo.
