#bridlington
Was in Bridlington last week. Apparently it has a bad reputation, which I don’t understand because it is kept clean, the beach is cleaned every morning. The kids obviously love to play on the beach. I believe the critics are people who object to the snack bars and other vendors. The kids love it and they are the ones who matter.
❤ This twon is beautiful and full of awesomeness ❤ Love it.❤ Love from Langebaan a seaside town of the South African Westcoast❤
Thanks for filming Bridlington with no music……so many happy memories from when I was a child in the 1970s. One year my parents had so little money we spent 3 nights just outside Brid parked in a lay-by in their tiny Fiat……five of us plus the dog…..as very young children we loved the adventure because we were near the sea. 😊
Crikey! That really does sound like an adventure!
This video brings lovelly memories to me when in my teens I would visit my aunty, I made my own kites and flew them in the park. I noticeced in the distance on North Pier was the white cliffs of Flamborough oh how lovely. When I got married I took my children to Fraisethorp south of Bridlington.
I live in Bridlington it is a lovely place to live I have not been down to the North side beach for a long time but watching watching your video I can see a lot more shops and cafes and plenty of rides and lots of seats for people to sit on it's a lovely video you have done it goes to show just how lovely Bridlington is xxxxxxxx xxxxxxxx 🎉
It is nice and sunny day and the beach is very sandy beach with the sea and the walkways is good for people who are in wheelchair users and the dogs as well loves the sea and the train ride round and the fair bring the people to the hotel and restaurant and shops arcades fish and chips and the seagulls and it is very busy and the building as well thanks Neil for showing me around
Been to Bridlington today (23rd August) and it is heaving lovely to see so many families about .The council keep the seafront clean and welcoming.
A lot of British seaside towns have drastically gone down hill. Luckily Brid still seems like a really nice place and clean too which is becoming rarer these days 👍
I luv the North Beach where you start your video, the sound of the sea and people enjoying themselves is brilliant, thanks 😊 🏖🌞
You’re welcome 😊
Great video.
Looks a great seaside resort.
Uk has got it all abd when the Weather is good..heaven.
We agree!
Liked 👍
Thank you 👍
Oh I'm so glad you're in Brid. We used to have a caravan there in the 80's at the south beach. Literally went every weekend for about 10 years of my childhood. I keep saying I'll visit one day again. Which is why I'm watching all of your northern beach videos cos we might holiday somewhere up there next year. Thank you for sharing this x
Bridlington sure keeps it's light under a bushel as they say. I'm 79 and had no idea it was so large or so nice. I live in the Philippines now, but returned to tour the UK a few years ago spending time at Whitby. Wish I known about Bridlington then.
Wow such a beautiful place thats one I have to visit. That women in the window made me laugh 😃
ha ha me too!
Beautiful place, the beaches are wonderful for dog walkers
Wow! I really loved this one. Your channel is absolutely fantastic!
Thank you 🙏
Heading this way in a few weeks. Not been to Brid for about 15+ years, so decided to drop in for a few hours on our way to Cayton Bay. This video is the reason why 😂
Love Bridlington, there every year
I love Bridlington, one of my favourite places
I'd give that Allen's Café a wide birth. Went there a few years ago and ended up giving our fish and chips to the seagulls as they were that bad and it's the same owners. The best fish and chips in my opinion are Jacks and the best cafe has got to be Susie's Five & Twos 🙂
👍👍👍
What a amazing and beautiful city
Thankyou for this ,brid is our happy place ,we come every year for two weeks ,we normally stay South marine drive but past two years stayed at sewerby we love it up there sewerby hall ,the ship inn and old forge are our fav places to go to xx I've been holidaying in brid since I was little I'm 51 now holidaying with my son and husband ,so many lovely things to do just the walk on the sea front or the beach sat outside watching the world go by ,sadly not been this year but bee able to watch this as given me my Bridlington fix hope to be back next year with our puppy Mable xx
Just rewatching this , back to brid for the bank holiday weekend for us it’s the best seaside place to visit in the uk
Great video thanks for sharing. There are so many fish and chip shops
There are but nowhere near as many as Matlock Bath (check the video on my channel you won’t believe it! 🤣)
Looks a lot better than when I lived near there in the 90s
Very clean lovely
Im from brid!( Well flamborough really) But i live in leeds now and i love going back to visit family and having a nice relaxing weekend away from the hustle and bustle of a noisy city! Ok so town like brid, scarborough, filey and many others up and down the east coast and throughout the uk for that matter have theyre fair share of problems and theyres no denying that but i will say that brid is a relatively clean town compared to others with nice long beaches, beautiful scenery and many heritage/ places of interest sites to explore but bridlington has got potential and many people who i know over in leeds love coming here too so whoever said brids going down the toilet is wrong! They just need to open theyre eyes more and take in alot the town and surrounding areas have to offer👍
Thanks for a great video. Brought back lots of happy memories of holidays in the 60's & 70's.
Glad you enjoyed it
Thanks for your tenby walkes we are going there august for an Alpha 8 day holiday you have even shown us where our hotel is the Cliffe Norton the place looks amazing 👋
It’s honestly one of the best places I’ve ever been
Looks lovely but i dont think ive been there been all around it but never there
Been to Bridlington, just for the day, really nice place. Lovely sea food and donuts, enjoyed

Was in Brid as recently last Sunday 17/9...fish"n"chips outside down by the harbour you can't beat it...enjoyed your video Neil 😂👍
Can't wait to move to bridlington a place to call my home
Great place to be
Went went one holiday to barmston holiday park so we were 7 mins drive from Bridlington and I love it there we went on the speed boat the priate ship and then they went to the swimming centre there too I will definitely go again with my family travel was about 5 hours from where I live but was worth it
Great video Neil I was in your video towards the end wasn’t sure it was u wish I had spoken to you now had a great holiday around the Yorkshire coast got back to my favourite place staithes
No way! You should have come and said hello!
Bridlington is a brilliant place Gimbal Walk TV
Agreed
I just had a holiday in Bridlington. We go every year. We love it. Could you possibly show us around Hornsea and/or Mablethorpe please?
Definitely!
I've just done Mablethorpe a couple of times if you have a look on my channel
I'll do Hornsea too!
Ive never been . Looks lovely
Lovely place
Great video, enjoyed as always, it’s a shame they don’t have the big wheel there at the Fun Park anymore, I felt that became quite a landmark for the seafront with its height 👍🏻😎
Yeah I know what you mean
Brid seems great in peak season but it's so seasonal it gets very depressing any other time of the year
Not been to Bridlington in years
Last time I went was in the 80s.
Does anyone remember the clock on the grass that was made with flowering plants?
I holiday at North Bay, Bridlington, twice a year but no one ever videos it for CZcams, except for me. At the end of North Marine Drive and Promenade is North Beach fish 'n chips. It's literally nine steps up from the clean sandy beach. Continue along the green headland to Sewerby Hall or take the land train. Clean public toilets and other facilities await visitors to the North Bay.
I was considering taking my brother and his little doggy to Bridlington for a few days, but wondered if there is any dog-friendly accommodation. On the map, it looks like all the caravan parks are quite a way out of town. Thanks for the video.
To each his own of course but I remember the very place, now occupied by the noisy n' ugly fun-fare, used to be lawns n' flower beds n' wooden benches where you could sit quietly and watch the world walk passed. You choose?
Dam jet boat at the start can remember a few years ago being on one of them there in Brid and hitting a wave and kneeing myself in the face lol
Oh no! 🤣🤣
I went on it a couple of years ago. Never again lol
love ti now
l my going there
I have never been to Bridlington.darren
It's great!
Is there enough to do for a week holiday there
Maybe not but there are other seasides just a very short drive away
I've been to Southend, Margate and Clacton on sea... How does that compare to your overall tally mate?? 😅
The seasides you mention are all a bit kiss-me-quick and candy floss for my liking. Prefer unspoiled places that are less commercial. Eastbourne, Seaford, Aldeburgh, Felixstowe, Southwold, Walberswick, Thorpeness etc
I think you may like Brighton and Yarmouth, Skegness and Hemsby.
CHEERS!... ain't been to seaside for 30 years. 😂🍻
Which did you like out of southend margate and clacton?
Ive been to those 3 ..they were all good but loved clacton a bit more.
You?
Margate as a kid. It was a more upmarket Southend on sea 😂.
I heard the beach is wheelchair friendly. Can anyone tell me how?
Not sure
When is low tide?
Not sure
how about Leicester? my grandma was english born there, became a ww2 bride, came across the pond...tytyty
Can you film me paphos please
Will have a look and see if I can!
We came here to go on a boat trip to see the cute little Puffins. Saw more Gillimots to be fair, but glimpsed two or three Puffins. No interest in all the amusements and rides whatsoever.
Shame about the massive swastika someone's drawn on the beach :( :( :(
I'm hoping it's linked to the writing 'ISAAN' further up the beach, guessing a few Thai or Indonesians on a trip maybe. Its an old symbol of well being outside of western culture.
Don't think it was a swastika?
