Bridlington! South beach is huge and the sand so perfect. That little shuttle train is awesome as is your singing. Cool old town section would be a favorite of mine. Free toilets - that is becoming rare. Awesome idea brining a knife to cut the pastries. Debbies Donuts!!!!. Balling on a budget as they say. Well done. Hi Nick and Jill. This was a nice little reminder of our trips to Bridlington. Used to take our children there many years ago and more recently my mum as my mum and dad used to holiday there in the past. The promenade is brilliant and really a nice place to walk or take a ride on the train. Enjoyed your journey. Nice that the beaches are all sandy. The harbour is very pretty. I love donuts too Jill. we do love a well stocked freezer Dave, yours sounds fantastic. ideal for these summer months. come to think of it I don’t ever recall paying for a toilet in the USA, is that really a thing? how civilised. a free toilet here is definitely a rarity! we got very lucky with those puffins as they only visit between May and July and can spend a big part of the day out of sea. i was really happy to see them there as it saved us about three miles walking to get to where i thought they would be! have an awesome weekend xx ♥️🇺🇸

I'd never heard of Bridlington, it looks like a great place to visit. Huge beaches, a town with lots of historic buildings, a lighthouse and nature reserved. And puffins! I like British seaside towns so this one's going on the list!
This looks a great place with a lot to do. A lot more than I thought when we visited once or twice. The land train and the racing kids hehe 😃 and the South beach is so big with lovely looking sand. Love the historic trail seeing the old buildings, the Priory was so beautiful and so big and the Baptist buriel ground looked really interesting. The North beach looks so good too with the white cliffs which look beautiful and free toilets as well😃Love the seals at Flamborough and the puffins were adorable, great capture. The harbour at Bridlington is so nice. Love the look of the doughnuts and the pier was really nice . So much to do .Really enjoyed this look around :) ~ Anna 👍❤️
those racing kids have given us both night terrors, i was probably the same as a kid though, always trying to jump on and off buses and trains, but being so much older i was really scared the young boy would get trapped under the train. i still cringe in fear when i see him! it is a little rough around the edges Brid, we always used to not give it more than a cursory glance, but of late we have really been wowed by its charms. it has so much going for it! was gutted about the Priory, it is free to enter until 4pm but when we went earlier in the day there was a school tour going on. we plan to revisit and have a look around. the free toilets are a real rarity nowadays, they were really clean and well looked after too. thank you so much for your kind comment ♥️ 🏴

Definitely had you sat on our shoulders for that section Joseph. We love your videos and that really added to our enjoyment in touring the Historic Town. So much so that we are going back tomorrow to just enjoy it! Donuts definitely not something we would indulge in but we enjoyed every bite. The nutella one was Jills choice, it was pretty decent. thanks so much Matt, Brid is definitely growing on us. we were guilty of not looking closely enough for many years and it does appear at first glance to be a little rough around the edges, but beyond that it has a ton of charm. we are super excited to see El Salvador later, now that is a place that is rough around the edges?

The Old Town surprised us, in all honesty id put it at the top of the list. it impressed us so much we returned yesterday, turns out we had hardly touched the surface. there is so much more to see and do there. the Priory was open and was incredibly fascinating, they were short handed and i ended up volunteering there, I had a fantastic time. Bridlington is definitely working its charms on us! hope you are well and we are all looking forward to your next instalment!

I love Bridlington, never been to the train station though, it's quite a pretty station! The beach is the best bit, our dog Archie absolutely loves it. Haha I love the kids trying to keep up with the land train. Great find all around the old town, we've never visited that bit. I particularly like the gateway to the Priory. Nor have I been to Flamborough, another place on my list, you got some awesome Puffin shots!! Great video as always guys.
was really surprised with Bridlington station, pristine toilets and so much love and care gone into all the welcoming flowers. the gateway and priory are free to enter but they shut at 4pm. we visited earlier but there was a school walking tour so we came back later and missed out. will have to venture back. Flamborough is a must Nettie, the seals are there all year round but the puffins are there from the start of May till the end of July. have an awesome weekend ♥️

I really appreciated all the research you did about the history of the town and buildings. The north beach was really nice too. Lovely to see tthe seals and puffins. What a great first impression with that beautiful floral display at the station. Lots of fabulous sandy beaches with that cute little train for getting around looks fun. (Loved my trip on Laal Ratty yesterday 🚂) I think that North East coast has more than it's fair share of seals n puffins 😀they are wonderful ! I know the other birds are amazing too but the puffins steal my heart every time 😍 Nice to see almost deserted places like Flamborough Head so close to what I'm sure is a busy summer resort though saying that those beaches are massive ! Well I've been to Scarborough in previous years and a few days ago took my dad to Skeggy. Being 157 miles away I cant promise to visit Bridlington but if I'm ever in the locality will look it up. Thanks Christine, yes we were really pleased with the condition of the train station, i wonder who is responsible for the floral display as it made a huge impact on our first impression of the place. we just filmed the same arrival at Filey, which is allegedly a much higher rated seaside town and not only wee there no signs or welcome but the first sight is of a row of overflowing industrial sized bins. very disappointing by comparison. ah the land train, isn’t it fun! we are blessed with our number of seal colonies although I think Wales beats anywhere for puffin numbers. Skegness really impressed me, did your Dad have a good time? Bridlington is definitely worth a visit, I went back on Sunday to visit the Priory, the volunteers in there were lovely and were really struggling to bring the summer fete to an end so i ended up volunteering and had a wonderful time. The Old Town is a day out in itself, id highly recommend it. thank you so much for very kind comment!

The old part of the town looked really interesting too ... as they often are and never really discoverd by lots of visitors. My dad loved his outing to Skeggy 😎 He was dubious about my suggestion and reluctantly went along with it but it raised his spirits so much. He is 93 and needs a wheelchair for getting about. We negotiated the path to the waterfall (just haha) then went to see the tiny ducklings on the boating lake .... awwww 😍 ... along the prom to the pier, watched the donkies, and then had ice creams ... A perfect day & I have to thank you two for putting it in my mind .. It was a real treat ... My dad has been on the phone to tell all his friends 😁🤗🤗

We took my mum (87) to Brid, i wanted to give her some more perspective on what she has seen, it might be her best day in two years. ive never seen them that far out on the headland, was planning to see them but honestly thought id have to walk an extra few miles. to get them in the same shot as a colony of seals was a real delight and time saver!

i used to work for a while in Brid too for a while, i was only getting exposed to the rougher elements but visiting it in the day it certainly wins you over with its many charms. needless to say im a huge fan now! have an awesome weekend 👍

Never been but set off to go there a couple of times but always end up stopping at Whitby or Scarbados. The water may not be the best but the beach looks incredible and loved the land train! Not that keen on the stocks, well, unless I was the one throwing the rotten fruit of course. I liked the historic part of the town as well, not must a one trick pony, looks like a lot to do and see there. The priory was amazing what a spectacular sight and that water may have been crystal clear but I bet it was baltic lol. White chocolate and Orio for me please and opps another 10 subscribers gone lol! One of these days we must visit Brid, it looked amazing, cheers Alan
Ha ha ha your right about that Alan, the smoochy shots defo loose us subs! 😂😂 i was never a fan of Brid and to make it even worse, i ran the doors on the most violent nightclub there for a couple of years. Its proper rough. Have to say i enjoyed every second but then i was always built that way. Revisiting it now with jill its proper lovely. It has so much to offer to everyone and anyone im smitten. I almost feel i made the wrong decision moving to Scarborough. No lie, Brid folk are rough but brid might possibly be where its at.it genuinely has me confused. I love it x

I hope the ice cream is less expensive there then where I found myself the other day. It was $4.00 a cone and wanted an additional $1.50 for having it in a paper bowl...I'm not able to eat the cone as I'm celiac. Poor Otis was very disappointed but went through a drive-through donut shop and Otis was given a free whole donut! A whole one!! Guess I might try the sticking my head out the window trick next time! LOL Anyway, does look like I'd do well in Bridlington without breaking the bank! The beach is where you'll fine me, so might as well just leave me there and don't forget to pick me up later! Perfect! I'm figuring the ice cream truck had a corner on the market as it was the only place to get one in the parking lot of a beach area. I would actually have gotten one, but not with that extra price for a bowl...if I was fast thinking on my feet, I think I would have gone back to the truck and got Otis' water bowl and taken it over and had them fill it up!! Liking the beach huts. Ah, the good old land train, we always call them noddy trains, not sure why haha. We love old towns and always seek them out so loving this bit. A pub turning into a dentist???? Hmmm, not impressed, at least there’s plenty other pubs!! There’s some lovely buildings there and the priory is stunning. North beach and it’s promenade look great. Nice groynes 😂🍆. Wish we were paddling in the sea right now. Free to pee, excellent. Just a 6 mile walk??? Are you kidding!!??!! The seals and puffins, wow! We’d definitely catch the bus back, probably catch it there too to be honest 😂. Ooh, we do love a harbour. Mmm doughnuts…but what about fish and chips and ice cream?? You brought your own bread board??? Let’s get things straight, you don’t mess with the classic doughnut, freshly made with sugar, now that’s a proper doughnut 😂😂….they did look good though. noddy trains! love that. dentists should be turning into pubs, this country is loosing both way too fast! that Priory and Bail were free to enter but shut at 4pm, we tried to film earlier but there was a junior school walking tour there so we missed our opportunity to venture inside. i was hoping the groyne jokes would be divisive but as i suspected our viewers are way too intelligent to be fooled by such! although my mum thankfully had never heard of the term and is, to my delight, suitably repulsed by it! confession time, whilst we did walk several miles on that day, we used the car extensively. free parking by the train station, free parking at the Old Town and free parking at Flamborough and on the Promenade after six. we were very strategic about the times and order we filmed in. oh an we spent £5 less, the bus footage is from last year and no, not even the eagle eyed will spot any difference as Jill wore the same accessories! although i am concerned that the bus drives past some hay bales, i have to hold my breath when i see that shot now! well done on beating us to the stocks, can’t wait to see your donut footage, yummy. This is one of the coastal places I haven't visited yet (I have been to Flamborough Head but not into Bridlington) and this video definitely makes me want to go. The walk to Flamborough Head sounds great and the North Beach looks super to walk along, although I would be tempted to go for the donuts alone! Another great video, thank you both for taking the time to show us around and offer suggestions for things to see and do.

Bridlington! South beach is huge and the sand so perfect. That little shuttle train is awesome as is your singing. Cool old town section would be a favorite of mine. Free toilets - that is becoming rare. Awesome idea brining a knife to cut the pastries. Debbies Donuts!!!!. Balling on a budget as they say. Well done. Hi Nick and Jill. This was a nice little reminder of our trips to Bridlington. Used to take our children there many years ago and more recently my mum as my mum and dad used to holiday there in the past. The promenade is brilliant and really a nice place to walk or take a ride on the train. Enjoyed your journey. Nice that the beaches are all sandy. The harbour is very pretty. I love donuts too Jill. Loved the dancing and high flying, Jill and Nick! Also love Raspberry filled donuts. In fact we have three different kinds right here in the house! 😋 😁 Also ice cream. we do love a well stocked freezer Dave, yours sounds fantastic. ideal for these summer months. come to think of it I don’t ever recall paying for a toilet in the USA, is that really a thing? how civilised. a free toilet here is definitely a rarity! we got very lucky with those puffins as they only visit between May and July and can spend a big part of the day out of sea. i was really happy to see them there as it saved us about three miles walking to get to where i thought they would be! have an awesome weekend xx ♥️🇺🇸

this was an insanely good deal! i love how y'all give walk times from mass transit, jill & nick. really highlights how you don't need cars enjoy a place. although my walk times might be a bit longer. y'all have such quick purposeful strides and ... i don't. 🤣 i'm glad at least one of the beaches were ok to go in the water. we have water quality warnings here for lake michigan. and those donuts looked darn fancy. i wanna ride it the little land trains, too! have a great weekend! 🛴❤

I'd never heard of Bridlington, it looks like a great place to visit. Huge beaches, a town with lots of historic buildings, a lighthouse and nature reserved. And puffins! I like British seaside towns so this one's going on the list!

This looks a great place with a lot to do. A lot more than I thought when we visited once or twice. The land train and the racing kids hehe 😃 and the South beach is so big with lovely looking sand. Love the historic trail seeing the old buildings, the Priory was so beautiful and so big and the Baptist buriel ground looked really interesting. The North beach looks so good too with the white cliffs which look beautiful and free toilets as well😃Love the seals at Flamborough and the puffins were adorable, great capture. The harbour at Bridlington is so nice. Love the look of the doughnuts and the pier was really nice . So much to do .Really enjoyed this look around :) ~ Anna 👍❤️
those racing kids have given us both night terrors, i was probably the same as a kid though, always trying to jump on and off buses and trains, but being so much older i was really scared the young boy would get trapped under the train. i still cringe in fear when i see him! it is a little rough around the edges Brid, we always used to not give it more than a cursory glance, but of late we have really been wowed by its charms. it has so much going for it! was gutted about the Priory, it is free to enter until 4pm but when we went earlier in the day there was a school tour going on. we plan to revisit and have a look around. the free toilets are a real rarity nowadays, they were really clean and well looked after too. thank you so much for your kind comment ♥️ 🏴

The Old Town surprised us, in all honesty id put it at the top of the list. it impressed us so much we returned yesterday, turns out we had hardly touched the surface. there is so much more to see and do there. the Priory was open and was incredibly fascinating, they were short handed and i ended up volunteering there, I had a fantastic time. Bridlington is definitely working its charms on us! hope you are well and we are all looking forward to your next instalment!

I love Bridlington, never been to the train station though, it's quite a pretty station! The beach is the best bit, our dog Archie absolutely loves it. Haha I love the kids trying to keep up with the land train. Great find all around the old town, we've never visited that bit. I particularly like the gateway to the Priory. Nor have I been to Flamborough, another place on my list, you got some awesome Puffin shots!! Great video as always guys.
was really surprised with Bridlington station, pristine toilets and so much love and care gone into all the welcoming flowers. the gateway and priory are free to enter but they shut at 4pm. we visited earlier but there was a school walking tour so we came back later and missed out. will have to venture back. Flamborough is a must Nettie, the seals are there all year round but the puffins are there from the start of May till the end of July. have an awesome weekend ♥️

What a great first impression with that beautiful floral display at the station. Lots of fabulous sandy beaches with that cute little train for getting around looks fun. (Loved my trip on Laal Ratty yesterday 🚂) I think that North East coast has more than it's fair share of seals n puffins 😀they are wonderful ! I know the other birds are amazing too but the puffins steal my heart every time 😍 Nice to see almost deserted places like Flamborough Head so close to what I'm sure is a busy summer resort though saying that those beaches are massive ! Well I've been to Scarborough in previous years and a few days ago took my dad to Skeggy. Being 157 miles away I cant promise to visit Bridlington but if I'm ever in the locality will look it up. Thanks Christine, yes we were really pleased with the condition of the train station, i wonder who is responsible for the floral display as it made a huge impact on our first impression of the place. we just filmed the same arrival at Filey, which is allegedly a much higher rated seaside town and not only wee there no signs or welcome but the first sight is of a row of overflowing industrial sized bins. very disappointing by comparison. ah the land train, isn’t it fun! we are blessed with our number of seal colonies although I think Wales beats anywhere for puffin numbers. Skegness really impressed me, did your Dad have a good time? Bridlington is definitely worth a visit, I went back on Sunday to visit the Priory, the volunteers in there were lovely and were really struggling to bring the summer fete to an end so i ended up volunteering and had a wonderful time. I'm a member of the library there !!!🤣😆😂 That was nice of you to help out when you went back for another visit to Bridlington ... an extra helper can lift everyone's spirits so much so I'm sure it was appreciated. The old part of the town looked really interesting too ... as they often are and never really discoverd by lots of visitors. My dad loved his outing to Skeggy 😎 He was dubious about my suggestion and reluctantly went along with it but it raised his spirits so much. He is 93 and needs a wheelchair for getting about. We negotiated the path to the waterfall (just haha) then went to see the tiny ducklings on the boating lake .... awwww 😍 ... along the prom to the pier, watched the donkies, and then had ice creams ... A perfect day & I have to thank you two for putting it in my mind .. It was a real treat ... My dad has been on the phone to tell all his friends 😁🤗🤗

Cough, cough, you are our favourite commenter, we both would massively love to spend time with you, we knew from your first comment that we were simpatico! Wow, 93, that is incredible, that is an incredible feat you pulled off and your dad sounds very happy. This is exactly what he wanted for this stage of his life. We took my mum (87) to Brid, i wanted to give her some more perspective on what she has seen, it might be her best day in two years. Im always looking for ways to have memorable days with my mum, your doing the same with your Dad, its an honour to know you xx

ive never seen them that far out on the headland, was planning to see them but honestly thought id have to walk an extra few miles. to get them in the same shot as a colony of seals was a real delight and time saver!

i used to work for a while in Brid too for a while, i was only getting exposed to the rougher elements but visiting it in the day it certainly wins you over with its many charms. needless to say im a huge fan now! have an awesome weekend 👍

Never been but set off to go there a couple of times but always end up stopping at Whitby or Scarbados. The water may not be the best but the beach looks incredible and loved the land train! Not that keen on the stocks, well, unless I was the one throwing the rotten fruit of course. I liked the historic part of the town as well, not must a one trick pony, looks like a lot to do and see there. The priory was amazing what a spectacular sight and that water may have been crystal clear but I bet it was baltic lol. White chocolate and Orio for me please and opps another 10 subscribers gone lol! One of these days we must visit Brid, it looked amazing, cheers Alan
Ha ha ha your right about that Alan, the smoochy shots defo loose us subs! 😂😂 i was never a fan of Brid and to make it even worse, i ran the doors on the most violent nightclub there for a couple of years. Its proper rough. Have to say i enjoyed every second but then i was always built that way. Revisiting it now with jill its proper lovely. It has so much to offer to everyone and anyone im smitten. I almost feel i made the wrong decision moving to Scarborough. No lie, Brid folk are rough but brid might possibly be where its at.it genuinely has me confused. I love it x

I hope the ice cream is less expensive there then where I found myself the other day. It was $4.00 a cone and wanted an additional $1.50 for having it in a paper bowl...I'm not able to eat the cone as I'm celiac. Poor Otis was very disappointed but went through a drive-through donut shop and Otis was given a free whole donut! A whole one!! Guess I might try the sticking my head out the window trick next time! LOL Anyway, does look like I'd do well in Bridlington without breaking the bank! The beach is where you'll fine me, so might as well just leave me there and don't forget to pick me up later! Perfect! @@GENerationXplorers I can still hear Otis munching on the donut and smacking his lips in my ears in the back seat while I was just sitting quietly in the front sipping on my ice tea...what a character! I'm figuring the ice cream truck had a corner on the market as it was the only place to get one in the parking lot of a beach area. I would actually have gotten one, but not with that extra price for a bowl...if I was fast thinking on my feet, I think I would have gone back to the truck and got Otis' water bowl and taken it over and had them fill it up!! LOL

Really nice to see a Tesco at the start, every little helps. Glorious beach but the north one was better, fewer JBP. Land train was good as that kid and woman out ran you 🤣 Liked the Priory, they certainly knew how to build structures many years ago. spoiler alert Mike, wouldnt tell you this if were not CCC for life but the bus footage is from last year. we reused horrible footage and dressed exactly the same just to save a fiver! well done on calling us out on that one! the chopping board is going to be our new staple. but we bumped the video where we introduce it, it is coming and will be a regular feature. great eagle eyed spot on that. thank you so much for sticking with us and very kind comments, well nobody is reading this so next week, we will be introducing the cutting board, reviewing and critiquing the ginsters cornish against a real bakery. its proper left field for us, lets see if it lands.. 😱😱
Hey both, sorry for missing the premier, both been working and have just got in for our Gen X fix. Bridlington, never been, looks nice. The theatre looked nice but the beach is beautiful. Liking the beach huts. Ah, the good old land train, we always call them noddy trains, not sure why haha. We love old towns and always seek them out so loving this bit. A pub turning into a dentist???? Hmmm, not impressed, at least there’s plenty other pubs!! There’s some lovely buildings there and the priory is stunning. North beach and it’s promenade look great. Nice groynes 😂🍆. Wish we were paddling in the sea right now. Free to pee, excellent. Just a 6 mile walk??? Are you kidding!!??!! The seals and puffins, wow! We’d definitely catch the bus back, probably catch it there too to be honest 😂. Ooh, we do love a harbour. Mmm doughnuts…but what about fish and chips and ice cream?? You brought your own bread board??? Let’s get things straight, you don’t mess with the classic doughnut, freshly made with sugar, now that’s a proper doughnut 😂😂….they did look good though. We may have beaten you to the stocks, but you beat us to the doughnut review, we have one coming up next week haha. Really enjoyed that, we’re sat here watching it on telly. noddy trains! love that. dentists should be turning into pubs, this country is loosing both way too fast! that Priory and Bail were free to enter but shut at 4pm, we tried to film earlier but there was a junior school walking tour there so we missed our opportunity to venture inside. i was hoping the groyne jokes would be divisive but as i suspected our viewers are way too intelligent to be fooled by such! although my mum thankfully had never heard of the term and is, to my delight, suitably repulsed by it! confession time, whilst we did walk several miles on that day, we used the car extensively. free parking by the train station, free parking at the Old Town and free parking at Flamborough and on the Promenade after six. we were very strategic about the times and order we filmed in. oh an we spent £5 less, the bus footage is from last year and no, not even the eagle eyed will spot any difference as Jill wore the same accessories! although i am concerned that the bus drives past some hay bales, i have to hold my breath when i see that shot now! well done on beating us to the stocks, can’t wait to see your donut footage, yummy. I don’t think anyone in our circuit is beating us, or would want to try, to next weeks footage, its a real gamble for us, but hey you have to try everything once. really enjoying filming and visiting the travel vlogs. we have a million and one ideas and places that would easily take up 52 weeks of the year but the hiking videos will return on occasion. have an awesome weekend. im just being called for my official birthday belated breakfast. “Yes it is my birthday!” 🎉

This is one of the coastal places I haven't visited yet (I have been to Flamborough Head but not into Bridlington) and this video definitely makes me want to go. The walk to Flamborough Head sounds great and the North Beach looks super to walk along, although I would be tempted to go for the donuts alone! Another great video, thank you both for taking the time to show us around and offer suggestions for things to see and do.
