  • In acknowledgement of hitting 200 subs! Woo! Thank you!
    This is a raw collection of footage from the entire 2022 Alberta whitetail deer season all mashed into 40 short minutes.
    Countless amazing hours in the woods with frostbite, frustration, exhilaration, and hopefulness.
    Searching for a 180" deer or better is proving to be a difficult feat.
    We will be back next year. :)
    Thanks for watching. Don't forget to like, subscribe, and check out our other videos!
    Happy hunting.

    You guys are lucky to have such amazing land to hunt so much game
    I'm a first nations hunter from bc
    The government has damned the rivers so no more moose and no elk left either

      We are very fortunate Mike and remind ourselves often. Lots of amazing creatures roaming around Alberta and lots of untapped bush to explore. Thanks for watching Mike! I hope the elk/moose situation makes a comeback in BC! Cheers!

    My only complaint is that the second the Yote showed up, it should have turned into a Coyote hunt. Thats always been a rule of thumb for me.

      Yep, definitely a no brainer! We use suppressors so it’s easy to whack a yoke without alarming everything else.

    What are you using for a camera? Any issues with it handling the cold weather here?

    • @shanehunts
      @shanehunts  Před rokem +1

      Great question! I'm using a Panasonic HC-V770. The -40 Celsius days are hard on the batteries. I carry 4 spare batteries with me for when the cold snaps the other ones! Once all of my camera batteries die, I feel maybe I probably shouldn't be in the woods any longer 🤣 Thanks for subscribing!

    IS that the Tikka Laminate stock? HOw do you find it in the cold conditions? IM Australian and have one back home but looking to buy one here. REcommendations?

      Best gun I have ever owned. I'll never buy another rifle! Tack driver (with the Sako ammo I use), light, and a beautiful balance of modern and classic aesthetics. Highly, highly recommend! I have it chambered in .308 and it will do everything you need it to. Thanks for watching!

    Got to put a finger on each side of safety when you take it off. He heard you click it.

    • @shanehunts
      @shanehunts  Před rokem

      You're absolutely right, I just didn't have enough fingers to do it! 🤣 Thanks again for watching Steven! Maybe next year I'll get the safety off with no noise! If you look at our 'Canadian Whitetail Deer Hunting 2021' video posted in the fall of 2022, it was -15C or so, dead silent, and I got pegged from 200 yards by a nice buck... Anyway! I guess you could say I have a bit of a history with being loud with the safeties hahaha thanks again for watching! Cheers!

      Hi Ernie! I've been shooting exclusively .308 WIN for the past couple of years. If you're interested in the rifle I use, I actually posted a review of mine on the Shane Hunts channel recently if you wanted to check it out! Thanks for watching my friend! Take care.
