it's honestly not that hard, work your way from the top and lower each settings and see what options give u the best fps :),nonetheless this guys does a great job , keep it up buddy :) i have a rx 6700 non xt and play it with locked 60,no need for higher fps anyway :)

Thank you for the guide and going over the settings in detail. I was worried having a 3060ti using 1440p monitor would be an issue when their recommended is 3070 for 1080p. These changes have me consistently at 60fps (bless dlss)

Hi, I've just discovered your channel... I really appreciate what you do to help people with modest systems figure out how to run their games better... Dragon's Dogma 2 seems to be a new problematic one... would be nice if you can look into that game at some point... although the game is also plagued by more issues other than the pc performance itself... but I'm hopeful that this could be improved in the upcoming patches.
Hello and welcome to a hopefully fruitfull journey with the channel, as for Dragon's Dogma 2, because of it's current state, an optimization guide will not help at all, the game needs to be fixed by the developers first, maybe in the future things will change.

Well made video, maybe a little rough in the detail analysis, but for the closeness to the release it´s very good/usable.
One note on Shadoe Quality, there are cave areas and outdoor locations that don't get correct lighting on Medium. If you can spare the FPS, bump Shadows up to High.
I really wish I had the spare fps to do that!
I am gonna fsr 3 frame gen mod on 3060 before pumping shadows back to high
The mod doesn't work. Gonna have to wait till either the mod gets updated or the game supports fsr 3.1@@Intrinsic16

@@evanwiger which mod (lukefx or nukem)? im using lukefz 0.10.4 and it work great (from 70 fps to 110) with my 3060ti. And by using mode "replace_dlss_fg" so it can use dlss+fsr3 framegen without waiting dfor fsr 3.1 to release.

I must say, i'm starting to like the idea of 21:9 apect ratio, it feels way smoother and gives really cool cinema vibes. I have almost same specs as you except cpu and monitor. most important for low and mid cards to set shadow to medium, with my rx 6800 it let me play at 4k 60 fps with fsr dynamic at stable 60 fps on all settings high except shadows, dynamic upscaling is also better than focusing on quality or performance since some scenes need more and some less power, and dynamic setting works amazing

Im writing this bc probably someone have same parts as i do. So i have ryzen 5 5600x, rtx 3060 12gb, 32gb ram. Ive set my resolution to 2K and ive used his settings from the video, but ive changed my dlss to performance (bc youll get fps and there is literally no difference even comparing to quality setting) and i can say im pretty happy with how my game runs, bc i get over 60 fps, even over 70 in areas like jungles and forests, in deserts probably even more i didnt check. So if any of you are trying to setup ur settings with same or similar components, heres a tip. Hope it works out for you too. 🙂

Fantastic video. I also found I was getting stuttering/lag until I turned off the Controler input settings on Steam and turned down the game controller speaker volume setting to 0 in-game. Seems wireless PS controllers current have an issue in this game.

The best settings for me is playing on medium settings at 1080p with DLSS (balance) and Frame Gen enabled.
I’m very happy with my new pc, I started HFW, just choose 21:9 and put everything maxed out with DLAA…. Avg 65fps at 4k. This game is so awesome.

You absolutely have to set x16 aniso filtering in every single game cuz it has zero performance impact while x16 makes distant textures more detailed.Can be hard to notice,but there's a difference.Aniso filtering usually costs a few mb of VRAM
All codes used btw peeps, spotted them all and tried them as i watched and all 3 taken.
Xess released 1.3 version recently, you reckon it's good enough for 1080p or just play native with medium settings 🤔

Optimizing the settings does help and I am getting around 100-120FPS with Framegen but I am getting some massive FPS drops on some cutscenes so far the worst one is when the rebels first attacked and all hell breaks loose but so does the framerate as it goes down to as low as 30FPS sin some of those scenes.

Considering the game's performance right now, I don't think they're planning to, since it's already well optimized, but that doesn't mean they won't surprise us.
Devs in Steam Discussion forum did say they will be releasing FSR3 soon so the answer is yes.

Nice video, but using dlss doesnt really make it fair because you're not running the game at the same resolution as before. Do you have the fps gains for the optimized settings without dlss?
