    Justin will be fine with the Steelers, and especially the coaching he will receive. Plus, Tomlin is ten times the HCC as Eberflus, and will know how to orchestrate Fields and the offense. HC is still the weak link of the Bears.

      Because his performance in 2024 still matters to the Bears, and they know that 4th rounder is never going to materialize. The Bears are going to get a 6th round pick for a one-year rental by the Steelers. At least the Bears are only on the hook for $2.8 million in dead cap for him, which is less than Trubisky's $4.6 million dead cap to the Steelers. Fields' $25 million 5th-year option? The NFL said "No way, Jose".

    • @larrymcardle
      @larrymcardle Před měsícem +11

      The Bears line is not that bad, while JF1 made them look much worse because he couldn't read a defense either before or after the snap. They'll look a lot better with CW playing on time and throwing guys open.

      @346rt Před měsícem +1

      He played with the same Oline 3 times last year. His centers were pathetic and his two starting guards seldom played a whole game. The only way anybody misses how bad that Oline was is if they are infested with hate for the QB or have some other agenda to prove themselves right about.

    • @larrymcardle
      @larrymcardle Před měsícem +7

      @@346rt Or, the only way that someone thinks the OL was complete garbage is they want to defend a poor QB or have some other agenda to prove themselves right about. JF1 was a bottom-five passer for three seasons. Look at ANY/A. He was second-worst in 2021, worst in 2022, and peaked at #26/33 last season. He can't read a defense pre- or post-snap. I was rooting for him, but he never showed any improvement. A UDFA, Tyson Bagent, had a higher completion percentage than Fields and a sack rate of only 3.4% compared to Fields' 10.6%. We'll see this season that the OL isn't that bad, when Caleb Williams plays on time and gets rid of the ball. Fields had guys open all over the field, yet constantly got happy feet, bailed on the pocket and took off running when it wasn't necessary. If you really think he was THE GUY, you can still root for him in Pittsburgh. I wish him well, but he had his chances and never succeeded.

      @@mrlaw711 Sure he will, because Mike Tomlin has a great history of developing QBs. He developed Big Ben...no, wait, he inherited Big Ben after Ben had already won a Super Bowl. So Tomlin developed Mason Rudolph, Kenny Pickett, Mitch Trubisky and now he's going to work his magic on Justin Fields. Okay. But if Tomlin is really a QB whisperer, he'll reinvigorate Russell Wilson, and Russ will cook again, so Fields will never see the field.
      Fields had 38 starts to prove himself, and never did. Thirty-eight starts and zero finishes. I wish him well. His Bears jersey is on sale now, if you're interested. Or get the Steelers version. Knock yourself out.

    Chicago and Denver gave away 2 good quarterbacks for nearly free. This is a schedule that if Pittsburgh survives and makes it to the playoffs will have them battle tested and ready to go to the Super-bowl. They able in the off season to focus on other areas and not worry about getting a Quarterback and even a back up quarterback. At the end of the day, you do not get good by having easy competition. It is challenges like this that will make a team real good or bad. As for Justine, they are worried about him because they did him wrong.They do not want to look like fools for forcing the narrative to get him out of Chicago. They wanted Bo or Drake here in Chicago. Now, they have CW here with an easy schedule and the extremely upgraded roster. If CW has any game, their hater’s guide to getting rid of certain running quarterbacks has failed.

If his line holds, and he has two or more receivers plus his OC can move the pocket for him and allow him to run with a complimentary run game, he can score enough to win but i don’t know who his DJ Moore will be.
    The white supremacy based haters focused on killing Fields before he gets started are out in force. @@MattShanley-bb6qs- There is an Astrocartography Effect. Players may actually be better in cities just because they are living in that new city and playing for a team in that city. Russ Wilson was great in Seattle. He was not so great in Denver but still beat the Bills and Chiefs last season. He can still beat anybody.
      Astrocartography is Locational Astrology and it is dependent on someone's birthdate, place of birth and time of birth. It sounds "Kooky" but it is a fact that one of the ways people change their luck is by changing the city they live in.
      Geno Smith is much better in Seattle than New York. Joe Flacco was much better in Cleveland last season than he was in Baltimore. Deshaun Watson was a different QB in Houston. Nick Foles is a Pro Bowl QB when playing for Philadelphia. Rich Gannon was much better playing for the Raiders than other teams. Ryan Fitzpatrick clearly had his best season of his career playing for the Jets.
      There are other examples and situations like supporting cast and coaching staff does play a role outside of the Astrocartograpjy Effect.
      I believe playing for Mike Tomlin will be more enjoyable for Russell Wilson than playing for Sean Payton.
      I hope Russell does well and the Steelers make the playoffs. I am not a Steelers' enthusiast. I like seeing comeback stories.
      On a side note, Zach Wilson may be a better QB playing in Denver. He went to BYU and could be better on the west side of the country. It would be great to see him get some starts and look much better than he did in New York.
