Man, I really miss having my barber trim/lineup my beard. It’s been a year of haircut only appointments or nothing for me. Hope the rest of you folks are managing to stay dapper. This guy does great buzz cut fades by the way!

I've been cutting my own hair for a long time atleast 20+ years because I've been real skeptical about having someone cut my hair. Nobody has ever cut my hair the way I want it, even after I explained it. Nothing complicated at all. I now have a full beard and am now thinking of going to a barber. How do I even find someone who's good. I'm in El Paso, TX.

I had two good old school Italian barbers, the first one for 24 years, the other for five. They both retired. It's hard not to compare a long-time barber with the new ones you try out to see how they cut hair. But you do. I have gone through a number of barbers in the last two years, some better than others. The best advice is to ask around and see who the good barbers are. If you have to drive a bit and pay a little extra to get a decent barber do so. But you don''t have to pay $40 or more for a decent cut. Many great barbers charge mush less for a good cut.
