  • This Fence Post Hole set is a great set for farms and pasture land. Can also be fabricated to work at virtually any location. Works great for Fox and Coyote and will take the occasional bobcat as well.

    I have a more wooded area then pasture… I guess a tree would work as well as a post eh?
    Thanks for the video 👍🏻

      can't see why not....although the post in a field is already a natural attractant

    Do you degrees your traps and use the blue stuff for dye and the wax before you you use your traps

    Would a smaller hole like a couple of 1/2 inch work just as well? Want to try this but dont want to drill big holes in my posts or buy another expensive bit.

    • @NBWildman
      @NBWildman  Před 2 lety

      can't see why not, it's purpose is to hold scent, but i do feel that the hole does have some eye appeal as they get closer

    • @danielherring9324
      @danielherring9324 Před rokem

      Screw a small piece of 2X4, it has eye appeal and your not drilling holes in your post. I was thinking the same thing when I seen your comment.

    Very nice set! I just finished my nb trappers education course today and plan on targeting a few coyotes this fall! Just curious as to which trap you would choose for this set?

    • @NBWildman
      @NBWildman  Před 3 lety +1

      typically a duke 550 pro if i'm looking for coyote

    I thought I seen this set up in the "Idaho Trappers Magazine" you wrote an article for.
    At the time you said you were thinking about using a set from that magazine and if you did you were going to give credit to the person that wrote it, is this that set up sure looks like it?

    • @NBWildman
      @NBWildman  Před 3 lety

      No, Jay this one i have been using for a while now, the one in the magazine was the one where the guy cuts a short stump in half...that one is still in the making.
