#shorts Have you guys tried doing #basemakeup with #spatula ? This is a very easy and fast way to do it 😆 Make your skin texture even and pretty with spatula base makeup!
These Korean girlies have to train their skin color to match I guess. There's 3 shades: white, porcelain, and pale. Edit: I didn't mean to sound rude or anything. My dad is from South Korea and he's tan and I'm quite tan even though my mom is very white. It's just kinda shocking to see makeup brands to have like 3 shades which are all kinda the same color.
I have to agree with many of the MUAs I've seen teach this and other foundation application techniques who say we should always go inside to outside for applications because you need the most coverage in the center of your face, and less on the outside helps it blend into your neck/hairline. But I mean application methods are very personal and if it works best the other way, or if it makes no difference for someone, then they should keep doing whatever works for them. Just saying incase anyone was finding their application isn't working for them, this change might help them.
If you have lots of redness on jawline and clear center of the face this technique doesnt make sense. You have to look what suits individual person always :)
I have deepest lines near the center of my face when I smile so I like to apply it first on the outside and use the leftover to cover my lines near my mouth and eyes
I disagree. I heard an MUA say that we should go from the inside to the outside because the skin on the centre is thinner and can handle only a small amount of foundation while the skin on the edge of the face is thicker
It’s the beauty standards in Asia, they’d rather blend it all out to the neck to fit the unnaturally pale “bright” shade they pick than be happy with their normal, healthy looking skin. There are few Koreans and Asians in general with such naturally pale skin but companies straight up refuse to make darker shades
@@KawaiiKermit Yes, they always try to look brighter than their actual shade, I've seen it here a lot in South Asia too. We do have darker shades in here, people just want to look bright. I don't understand this at all. There isn’t anything wrong with natural skin shade.
no unless they're really whitewashed. but i tend to use shades a bit lighter than my actual skin tone cause makeup will oxidize after a few hours and become darker
I Love foundation Tutorials on visibly textured skin. It shows much better how good Something works than with Filters or other Things that Make the skin Look flawless beforehand
@@prboi1985 was no shade at all lol if it came across that way. It was meant to be a compliment. We are all human and struggle w stuff like this. So I appreciate her candidness 💕
I just wanted to say i appreciate you showing your natural skin without filters, skin that actually looks like skin that’s not airbrushed and unnatural.
I really love this spatula technique! But to be honest I just put the liquid foundation on the spatula directly and spread it on my face like a butter as thin as possible. It works the same and it’s less messy and fast😂
Another good technique used my professional muas is to put it on a blending platform or your hand and use a dense fluffy blending brush. Pick up a small amount and gently tap, blend in circular motions, and push the product into the skin to make it more than just a layer of makeup. Gives you a flawless base as you aren’t using a load of product all at once, you pick up small amount and blend it out, go back and pick up more and blend. That way there’s even distribution and you don’t put too much product on. This is better than the videos method if you don’t have flawless skin like most Asians as it’s easy to use too much product to cover imperfections like blemishes, hyperpigmentation and texture.
I Looooove the spatula method. I'm able to use way less foundation because it's able to get applied in such a thin layer. And it looks so natural because the layer is so thin but still gives you enough coverage. I'm never gonna go back to using only sponge.
I feel that this technique only works if you have decent skin. If you have bad breakouts or high pigmentation then you gonna need a full-coverage foundation with a sponge or makeup brush.
I was set on watching this and learning stuff but then I heard the music in the background 😂 I know it's royalty free, but I'm so used to hearing it on the crime channel That Chapter as the life insurance dance music
Is this so revolutionary because you spend less time blending? Or is there something I was missing? Personally, I’m not cutting corners on my makeup. If it takes all day, it takes all day.
Can you do one that would be for high school? (I want to wear makeup to school but they are strict and I can’t find one that would be good for school next year)
The main point is that the spatula is the best tool to express thin and natural skin texture when applying on your base makeup. The reason why we use the sponge after using the spatula is to remove any marks left behind by the spatula and to enhance the adherence of the product.
@@ffrai3094 No, the spatula applies it very thinly, which is a good way to achieve a non-cakey, durable base 👌🏻 Of course fingers work too but in my experience it can't be as thin and you end up using more product.
@@vermillionrot that's just bs lol, u can apply it thickly with a spatula and thinly with a sponge. it's just about your technique and amount of product
As a makeup artist i love this technique, it gives such even layers to the face :)
Thank you and I love you !!!!
Beautiful nose bro😍
Do you wet it?
❤
I’ve never seen a foundation that matches almost exactly like someone’s skins color…magic 😳
I’m shocked 😩I want my skin foundation
NARS'S concealer matches me so well!NOBODY can tell i've applied some, magic indeed 😍
The best way is to get matched by a pro...

Korea is a fairly ethnically homogeneous country, probably easier for these companies to match skin tone when they are more similar.

I barely see any makeup artist actually using the accurate foundation shade, I do respect you for not using brighter shade than your skin like others.

I love that a lot of my asian skincare/makeup says "appropriate amount" rather than an actual amount. Same thing with cooking 😂
Yeah 😂. You stop adding an ingredient when you hear your ancestors whisper "that's enough child" in your ear.
I love that you show blackheads, hair and real skin texture! ❤
I love how you just called out her blackheads 😂😂😂
Lol, I have a lot of blackheads, it's the truth anyways. ^_^

why is everyone so extravagant, Im lazy for all that
Thank you! I had no idea how people were doing this!
love this short tut!!
This reminds me of the 90s/00s method of only applying foundation to the center of the face except they used hands to blend everything out lol
Your skin does not need make up , it's already beautiful
That's so sweet of you. Thank you so much
she made that look so easy
Your skin is gorgeous
Thank you ^_^

Great to hear!
This was SO useful omg going to try this right after my shower

This is so genius
How beautifully the foundation has matched her skin i don't know which foundation match to my skin

Best make-up routine who isn't always on a rush.
It's incredible how your pores look zoomed in but you can't see it zoomed out😭 Why is it that mine can be seen from a mile away💀💀💀
I'm jealous of her skin lol
We are usually more self-aware, you are prob the only one that can see urs from far away.
Spread it like butter
If you don't have a spatula a spoon is actually a great substitute

Fuck it i just use a spoon as a spatula and damn baby it does the same work
Yes it does, and so does a butter knife. I actually showed this on my live today. Spoon, Knife and even fork.
My grandma used to do this with the back of a butter knife 😂 but her Make-up always look absolutely flawless so slay ig 😭✌🏻
Oh yes! a butter knife would work wonders as it's pretty much almost the same.
