I have been using my Travelite acoustic case for about 20 years. In that time, the latch and hinges have torn out of the fabric/foam, and the swivel bit for the straps broke.
That said, I replaced the swivel bit with a carabiner, the outer zipper works and the cover fabric and fuzzy interior have held up perfectly and still look great so the case is perfectly functional. I still use it regularly.
Mind you I bought it used and I never toured with it but it has seen a fair bit of travel and some gigging.
All in all this is a great frickin' case!

Hi! Thanks as you have definitely helped with my decision process on what to consider in a light weight classical guitar case!

I've just received the Travelite T-60 case. It's a great backpack soft case for running around for gigs. As far as getting it on the airplane, I wouldn't show up at any airport with either of these cases if traveling with a guitar I gave a hoot about. You might be able to fit the Gator case overhead, but it depends on the airline, how far back you are in boarding order, and the size of the airplane. The interior storage compartment size of the T-60 instantly makes it superior to other cases needing unseemly exterior pockets.

Can anyone tell me the inner dimensions of the Travelite case (upper/lower bout, waist, body length, guitar length)? I have been trying to find them online to no avail. Thanks

Which Hippner guitar model do you use the case for. I have the Hippner Hauser 1939 model and was planning to use the TL60 for air travel hoping to bring on board for the flight.

Not waterproof and probably not good to take on a plane. Pretty much good for everyday commutes to gigs/ around campus. Very light

Travelite case made by saga music. Google "saga music"

The Travelite is too bulky, you will have a much harder time getting it on the airplane than the Gator. It may be better made, slightly better protection, but if the guy at the gate sees it and thinks it won't fit in the overhead (to be fair, it might not) then you end up shipping your expensive guitar in a foam case. Not a good idea IMHO. The Gator at least gives you a much better chance of boarding a plane with it.

This is true! However I did not actually use this case to travel. It worked great for a "around campus" type case. Besides considering airlines, everyone I know seems to much prefer these travelite cases over the gator cases based on the reasons I explained in the video.

***** Absolutely, the Travelite is miles better in every way, but I just wish they could make the exact same case but use the Gator footprint. I have dragged guitars around in the Travelite and, while its nice and light, its just too bulky for me. It is, for sure, the best of the foam case as far as the other features you mention, totally agree.
