- Back to another great show here on the big Dan show. Such a good day to be at the boat ramp hanging out. If you like the content, don’t forget to subscribe to the channel, we are almost at 25,000 subscribers and I’d like to get there by May 1 that’s a big goal but I believe it’s doable so don’t forget to like the video and comment and that’s what helps the algorithm pick the steam up! Let’s go! #InTooDeep #TheBigDanShow

Best boat ramp channel on CZcams.
Appreciate that
I still find it amazing that so many people apparently have enough disposable income to have a $200,000 boat, and pull it with an $80,000 truck, and a lot of them look young. It isn’t like they’re cashing in their 401’s.
Lots of business owners in this area
Credit card captains making interest payments.
Financed to the gills. You can finance boats for 12, 15, and even 20 yrs
I'm a new boater. My first time out I launched the boat like a champ docked the boat like a champ and reloaded the boat on the trailer like champ. Second time out was a disaster. I launched the boat okay but damn I hit the dock coming in and struggled to get the boat back on the trailer damn near fell on the ramp. 🤣 I went from oh yeah I got this boating stuff to back to the drawing board in one trip😂
Nice work! Lol
I've seen people that would load their boats as simple as just beaching for weeks, then something would be off and they'd have so much trouble you'd think they'd only been aboard a boat for 5 minutes their entire lives.
I sell live bait, normally 5-7 days a week, anchor dropped just about like being in the center of this lagoon that Big Dan is recording across. That's what I do, watch the trailer backing/launching/loading and bikinis when no one's alongside buying.
Love that boat ramp! I’ll be there in 1 month!
Nice! Where ya from?
Watching the Big Dan Show is like watching NASCAR - we are y’all just waiting for the “big one”! 😂.
💪💪 Haha Yesss!
Bloop bloop bloop!! Just a matter of time!!😂
@@leem6011 coming soon!
“Everybody say heeeey, we want Big Dan’s show!!
Hi Dan, just found your channel a few days ago and like what you are doing. As a fellow boater from Wisconsin I have see some crazy stuff at the launch and help if I can, but as you know not everyone will take it. Thank you you for your service. My son is in the Navy. I'll share your channel with him.
Thanks my friend. Welcome! 💪🇺🇸
You need two cameras one to watch the boats flying by and on to watch the guys at the ramp.
I’ve got 3 but it’s a pain to run it all. A lot of times I’m flying the drone while I’m filming my main shot. Which in this case… lol
7:00 putting a lot of faith in that park pawl on that truck
The "double wide of boats" is funny. I call SeaDoo Sparks Tupperware containers with engines. I mean no judgement to SeaDoo Spark owners. But you can’t deny that those are literally made of plastic
Haha you right
I had owned a 18’ Sea Ray for over 20 years. We had it down pat. We could load and unload quicker than anyone at the ramp. This winter I traded it for a 22’ Tri Toon. This thing is kicking my butt trying to get it back on the trailer. Currents and any wind at all pushes the back toons away from the bunks even when it’s straight in the front. Watching other people struggle with pontoons makes me feel a little better.
I will say, this new Tri Toon is great when it’s on the water. Trailering it is a pretty big pain though.
Love the videos man!!!
Glad to hear it! 🤟
My wife always piloted the boat and I did the backing the into the water. Worked out perfect. She would just noodle around until she saw my truck cbacking down and we were loaded and pulling out within a minute or 2.
💪💪💪
I like your videos and comments!
Thank you 💪
Another great video not to many mishaps on this one but old boy with the 400 mercury was having some issues
💪💪
That Blackjack was the baddest boat I seen! Get one loaded up pretty good about $170k.. Dude needs some classes...
Yeah that is a sick boat.
You know where I get my biggest kick Dan, some of the hand signals are more like flippin pancakes. lol lol
Lmao. That’s funny and you’re right
So the black pontoon with the endless loading definitely has the Bimini top on backwards 😂😂
Haha I didn’t even notice lol
Pontoon boat are the minivan's of the water.
😝😂🥴
Love watching the videos...keep them coming!!! Can someone explain to me why very few of these boats use bumpers at the docks to protect their huge investments. These expensive boats are always hitting the docks which can easily cause damage.
Lazyyyy is my guess. Thank you friend
👍🤙
Morning Big Dan.
Mornin Reggie!
You were likely right on the Freeman, 34-37'. I'm not a fan of cat hulls but that's just me, have their pros and less cons.
I feel the same. Great to fish in, in rough seas. Not as much rock in and rolling but I don’t like how they steer
@@TheBigDanShow Steering, and when hitting decent waves at an angle they can juke hard, extremely hard.
@5:50, I have 18 head. It is costing too much to feed them. There is not enough rain here in South Texas for grass to grow. It's is about time to go to the auction.
Yeah I’m gonna sell 15-17 in the next t 30 days or so. Market is up
why isnt that open water area "No Wake" until they get past the dock area?
That’s a good question but they are fixing to change it
All i heard was homeboy got dock blocked...
lol
It looks like he's got his trailer too deep also
For sure
I find it amazing that there people still judging others for what they can afford. If all you can do is a cheaper pontoon boat then good for you. if all you can afford to live in is a cheaper double wide then good for ya. At least you have a roof over your head and a boat to go out and enjoy. So be careful what ya say. and be thankful for what god has given you in life. You might be living under a bridge next month. You know easy come easy go.
You’re right about that.
3:00 I would give some the benefit of doubt; had not been for watching your show. I would not know to slow down when driving through that area and unless something was posted, a big reason why I watch the show is to learn not just about putting the boat in the water but also for unwritten rules like this! With all of that being said I’m sure both of them knew they should slow down!!!
That’s good. I’m glad I’m able to help out. I appreciate you 🤟👌
I've never been to this ramp but maybe Big Dan could correct or reenforce this. It looks like the buoy for no wake/normal speed is to our far left at the base of where this manmade rock jetty begins to make this lagoon. What I mean by far left is when he is showing the boats going by in the ICW(inner coastal waterway). There are channel makers, buoys, large shore signs on both sides, depending where you are, about no wake, normal speed-and an unwritten courtesy as you mentioned.

5:54 can someone tell me what that this going down in the back of the boat is? And what it’s for please?
Power pole. It's a shallow water anchor.
Power pole
That guy has his crew set up well. Older daughter docks the boat momma keeps it tied up then drop the twin poles and wait for Dad parking the truck. Super easy. Having them poles go straight back and not off on a 45 angle really helps in docking.
The struggle is real..
🤟
Are those fans or speakers on that 1st boat at the very beginning of the video?
Speakers I’m sure I’ll have to go look
Boat ramps are a magnet for the brainless
Heheee
Just something about seeing a woman driving a boat and doing it with confidence
Lol.. I just got to the part of video when you were commenting on women captains 🤷🏼♂️
💪💪👌👌
Why not install a forward view camera to see the front snubber
No Prolines were hurt in the making of this video.
😂😂😂😂😂
What are those things either side of the outboard that fold down?
Called Power Poles. It’s like a shallow water anchor
Thankyou 👍
Shouldn't be a problem calling them a lady boater. Any couple male/female that boat often both parties should be able to handle the boat and truck. I do most of the boat driving backing in trailer docking but wife parks empty trailer and ties lines we work as a team. If something happens to me and I'm unable she can do everything Solo also. Each team has there strategy.
💪💪💪
what are those arms that went into the water at 5:57?
What the world lol
power pole - shallow water anchor. Using them at the boat ramp is highly under-rated. Faster than dock lines for these quick tie ups.
So way not have two cameras on one on a tripod facing the boats going by then the other camera use it like you normally use it and the one on the tripod if something else is interesting turn it to it then the camera you use all the time you can video over things that maybe interesting
👌👌👌

Stop power loading ppl. Get your trailer as close as possible to the dock and walk walk your boat up. PROBLEM SOLVED
And for the love of God, stop waiting TILL the last second to find your dock lines. And make sure you have TWO!!!!
PICK A DOCK THAT THE WIND WILL PIN YOU TO , IF ITS WINDY. this is not brain surgery!!!
I’m not against power loading 😜
@@TheBigDanShow it's illegal in Michigan. They will ticket you.
May you also remember that not every ramp has a dock and good luck walking it up in a faster moving river.
Power loading has it's place outside of the super easy and extremely convenient ramps most people use.
The pontoon boat is the minivan of the lake. Comfortable butt ugly.
Lmao
Boat ramp shenanigans gets my blood pressure up enough (in a fun way) but when you peel off to show some guy in the channel parting the damn sea, that really pisses me off. I would love to be a game warden just writing tickets all day long for those boneheads.
