- Remember what a horrific unorganized mess Fyre Festival, the supposedly exclusive and luxurious dumpster fire catering to rich influencers, was in 2017?
Well, organizer Billy McFarland has just been released from jail, and immediately announced the cringe-inducingly named ‘Fyre Festival 2’, with the first hundred tickets selling out at 500 US dollars a pop, and others to be released in phases with outrageously increased prices.

Billy McFarland announcing Fyre Festival 2 shortly after his release from prison isn't the most shocking part, the most shocking part is that there are literally people actually BUYING Fyre Festival 2 tickets
Sheesh. I’d rather Spend money on Steam and TF2 and stuff.
In before he just detonates a bomb and kills everyone
It must be fake. After the coverage of the first scam festival, I don't believe anyone would even consider buying a ticket
Proof humanity is becoming dumber.
@@bar-elch7809 Dubious amount of trolling
Finally Internet Historian will be able to make a Part 2 of this and get a video out...
Boi internt historian has a huge backlog im still waiting for CHAZ and capitol hill storm not to mention oceangate and maybe even the russoukrainin war

@@finedecision5639ok let me explain why these won’t come out for a while videos about these topics can still get shadow banned and have a heavier chance of demonetization even thought one of them happened over a year ago.

I was thinking the same thing
You don't go to Fyre Fest for the food or music, you go to live out a Mad Max fantasy.
It's less post apocalyptic and more dystopian, really

To make a quick side note: Tickets were not selling for twelve thousand dollars, they were selling for twelve hundred. It wasn’t rich people that were scammed by Fyre Festival, it was average people who thought they were getting an amazing deal on a luxury vacation.
Thinking about it yeah, 1200, honestly not gonna be a massive scams for rich people
Nah. Youre still considered rich and spoiled if you indulge in boojie luxuries like this.
@@jksupergamerIt is also an unbelievable deal for a vacation in such a place
Makes it even dumber, tbh. Rich people have the luxury to be dumb, the middle class has no excuse for this.
Yeah, this is common knowledge at this point IH, what the fuck dude
The people who are deciding to go to the festival are the true definition of insanity
love the name
Two things:
1- There never was a Fyre Festival 1. All singers and groups bailed before the festival was supposed to start and so on a technical standpoint it was cancelled.
2- The fact that someone is just that stupid to fall for this scam is almost unbelievable. He scammed lots of people once doing the same exact thing as before and now people are falling for it again? This is like someone that got mauled by a bear because they kept prodding it with a stick until it got enraged decides to do it again but with a pole because they think that this time it won’t get angry
@@emanuelepolloni4002 I agree, in the end it wasn't a festival but more like a group of people trapped on an island due to the scammer being uncaring for peoples wellbeing
Your username & pfp is disgusting

It should be noted not lot of them were rich. Majority of people paid the cheapest ticket which was somewhere in the hundred range like five or three or more. No one bought the 100k ones hence why they weren’t even able to pay for accommodation and staff due to intense mismanagement.
Yah that was my thought, not rich just very gullible. I felt bad for them and the situation he got them into. But this time I do hope people see the evidence of the shit show he last ran and avoid it
The lowest seemed to be $500 an "early bird special" as was described.
Yeah that bit was weird

It's like watching a bad movie and then forgetting about it. Years later a sequel is announced. And you're left to wonder how they got approval or had the funds to get a green light. 😂

Which one? Lol.
If you're talking about James Cameron's 'Avatar', the first one wasn't a bad movie. It just wasn't an original story. The second one was garbage.
If you're talking about Avatar: The Last Airbender. I haven't watched it and I don't plan too. 🤮
So Avatar?
Look if somebody looked at Fyre Fest 1 and thought “yeah that was bad and all but I think this Fyre Fest 2 sounds good,” they deserved to get scammed.
Some people really don't learn lmao

@@aprofessionalgamer5355that is such a non sequitur here. no one’s saying that lmao. you just shouldn’t trust someone who royally fucks up something huge and complex to do it again without royally fucking up.

@@aprofessionalgamer5355why are you defending fyre festival
He is out of jail already? Man, 6 years passed quickly
The fact that the first 100 tickets are sold at $500 shows they haven't learned their lesson
Most likely just a sales tactic to trick others into buying.....
The lesson is that they pocketed 50k, minus whatever that scam site Posh charged for hosting ticket sales.
@@johndoe-so2efMy bet is all the tickets so far were bought out by Balls McFuckface himself to generate fake hype.
"Rise and fall" implies a high point. It should not be implied that a spurious facade marks a legitimate "rise" it always was a scam
My grandmother had an amazing saying that I follow still to this day. "You can't fix stupid". I hope it servers everyone else well.
He should just go straight back to jail, he's clearly learned nothing. At least we'll get to see rich people struggle
People forget that the Tickets weren’t that expensive in the first place, as Internet historian pointed out in his video on Fyre Festival.

So?
A scam is a scam, regardless of the amount.
Still wasn't exactly a small overall sum, and that also means he scammed a larger crowd of people instead of larger sums from few.
Billy has done nothing but scams, shows absolutely no regret for any of them and therefore belongs behind bars for the rest of his damn life.
I suspect Fyre Festival 2 is going to be a hunger games/battle royale situation where dumb rich influencers kill each other for our entertainment.
Funny, because usually it’s the rich watching those below them kill each other for fun.
"are you not entertained?!" 🤣
Also a correction: The standard price was 1,200 dollars, not 12,000.
He must have really enjoyed jail if he wants to go back that fast
From what I hear, it wasn't marketed towards rich peple. Standard tickets was $1,200, as opposed to $12,000 that was often reported. There were even some paying as low as $500 for tickets. Pretty good price for an all-expanse paid two-week trip to the Bahamas (if the promises were actually delivered).
I wanna be that one mf that just wins his tickets for free and then gets to watch the world burn around me as rich people panic about living in a FEMA tent
More people should talk about Sandance, a music festival that took place in Dubai back in the 2010’s. It was initially doing fine, but the last time they hosted the event it turned into a logistical nightmare.
I mean it's like the time where a boat was capsized and everyone died around the same time the Titan Submersible imploded. Yeah it might have been worse, but the coverage was huge than the former.

Most of the audience was normal people. Theres actually no evidence of the 12k tickets selling and the lowest level packages were less than a tenth of that price

Who would have the audacity to get sent to 6 years for such fraud let alone try it again
One thing to take into account is that a lot of the people who actually bought tickets the first time around weren't the spoiled rich type that you'd expect, in fact they were getting a pretty good deal for tickets to what would've been a pretty good vacation.
i remember a post of someone who had won a ticket to the original festival and just enjoyed the chaos
“Is Fyre Festival 2 a Sc-“
Yes
I guarantee you the people buying tickets this time are going because they WANT to experience that terrible Fyre Festival from last time. Now picture if it’s actually amazing and all the people who wanted to go missed it.
I think you're right. The sheer notoriety of what an incredible mess the first one was is going to pull them in like flies to fresh shit! They won't want to miss it.
And the bar for expectations will be pretty low, so this time around they’ll *expect* tents and takeout.
Truly a Fyre Festival moment
This is a rich person moment
"They're gonna do what?"
- Exurb1a
The saddest thing is, I see this one working. He clearly knows the previous one had years of pushback and memes and still decided to call the new one Fyre 2. He'll probably do what most grifters do and act as if this was all part of the plan, doubling down by making the same experience (crappy tents, bad food, etc.) but this time on purpose. Kinda like Tommy Wiseau doubling down on The Room memes, but worse.
I feel for anyone who had spent their money on the event to not get what they fully wanted
tbh even if paying a few hundreds, the thing they promised were wayyyyyy too good to be true

I love how everyone is suggesting the moonlight edit meme ☠️
Im pretty sure this is a marketing tactic, hes just getting his name out there again
Now the next lesson in meme culture:
The YT recommendations being dominated by the COLORs AMV with the song Moonlight.
We need Internet Historian on this
Man the things people with a lot of money will do to make themselves feel like they have a lot of money
Failed or not this is always a juicy content for our trustworthy creators : ).
I can just hear internet historian typing up the drafts of the Fyre Festival 2 script as we speak
I love how literally the second he gets out of jail he anoounces it AGAIN, I wonder how many CZcamsrs are gonna go just to shit on everything
You need to cover the COLORs meme of the boy turning into a girl with moonlight playing in the background.
A massive meme you never did a lesson in was "I learned animation to make this one video" by Sorenova. It's actually still going (to some degree). Lots and lots of people have created their ow spins which have gained millions of views too.
It's kind of become the "hello world" of 3D animation.
"Those who forget the mistakes and horrors of the past, are damned to repeat it."
The only thing that will be “fyre” about this festival will be the tents.
I need an explanation on the current COLORS Moonlight memes that i see every 10 min on my reccomended
I'm guessing they are planning on releasing undervalued tickets hoping to get the hype going, then have the late comers pay for it. I think what will happen instead is people will not agree to buy a ticket above a reasonably low price, thus Billy will have to once again make a festival on an non-existent budget. Will be funny to watch it happen a second time.
Standard internet hype bro handbook move. Fabricate artificial scarcity, induce FOMO, cash checks and go to prision for a 2nd time
We need a video on the colors meme that's literally taking over youtube rn
At this point, if you buy tickets for Fyre Festival 2, you deserve to be scammed
It'll be an ironic event. People will go for the mess. It's honestly a smart move on his part, it gained such notorious attention that it's almost a guaranteed hit. It's like watching a bad movie or watching cringe complications. But you get to record it on your phone and get views.
And he could be even more clever by being honest about what you get - a small tent and a couple of takeout cheese sandwiches, and you can hear Cardi B on someone’s Bluetooth.
Can you do a video of the COLORs video where that guy turns into a girl accompanied by the song that goes “ I just wanna get higher with my lover “ ?
Can’t believe people would be so stupid to fall for the same scam again !
Selling tickets using a literal FOMO market tactic.
