LS RX8 Car Harness Swap Modification

Modifying the stock rx8 engine harness to run the factory gauges while utilizing a swapped engine. Can be used to retain functionality with just about any swap as long as you have a 36-2-2-2 reluctor wheel for the crank sensor and plug in the coolant temp sensor to an unused 3/8 npt coolant passage!

Bro, by any chance do you have the diagram of what the second connector (the at minute 2:13)? I know it has 12v power, engine ground?, 2 pins for the reverse/neutral, and seems like something for the lambda?

Did doing this allow you to maintain the ABS? That’s kind of the make or break on me doing this swap.

Yes, keep the abs and original ecu for the vehicle. Make sure the oem ecu gets a tach signal from the stock sensor and 36-2-2 ring. That will activate the oem electric steering.
