This is a fun song. I remember after this song came out and then Water, one of the guys on our local radio station said "Brad has sung about Alcohol and now Water. If this man somehow finds a way to sing a song titled Milk, I'm done and retiring from radio". He had a coworker tell him not to give Brad ideas, cause if there's anyone that could do that, it's Brad.

"Helping white people dance" is one of the best lines!
and Lynchburg (Tennessee) is the home of Jack Daniel’s Distillery producing it's famous Tennessee Whiskey - which, ironically, is in a "dry" county so you can't buy it there (though I believe they get around it by selling "commemorative" bottles - that happen to be filled with whiskey). I assume Bordeaux, France needs no explanation for it's inclusion. 😁

The guy with the lampshade was a country legend called Little Jimmy Dickens. He and Brad became good friends and appeared in a few of his videos before he passed.

Back in... oh God.. 2004 when I was in grade nine we had health class. Birds and the bees and drugs and.... alcohol. Me and my buddies at the back already knew what they telling us about. And we were all country boys. I live in Calgary Alberta FYI. This album was out and we knew all the songs. The teacher showed us this as a warning not yo drink.... us 4 boys were probably the biggest shtheads in the school. This song came on and we put our arms on each other's shoulders and just sang along and swayed with the beat. All of us got calls home that day.... totally worth it, totally worth it.
And this is the reason Hemp was banned; they want you drunk,not thinking about a thing.

Brad does such fun songs. I was watching for your reaction to the "helping white people dance" line, knew it would be good. For me it wasn't college that was a ball, it was Air Force technical training school. Trust me, marching a mile to class with a hangover at dawn is not fun.

The trick was to still be drunk. How do you think I passed the final PT test in Army school? Those of us who went out the “night” before were so trashed, we literally couldn’t feel anything at 0 dark thirty. Only time I ever got an excellent on PT 😂😂😂. Could’ve done push ups all days 😉.
