Highlight of this upload was seeing the passion of Alberto Contador seeing his team winning a stage in the Giro.
đ Honestly!
I came here to say the same thing. Bloody great, wasn't it.
It's either "passion" or he has continued his pharmaceutical regimen.
Lol, you love to see Contador ecstatic about his teams victory â„ïž
Absolutely rapt for he and Ivan, must have been such a special moment for Alberto..! and if you have GCN Plus, there is a excellent show on the man himself, with Bernie Eisel... Certainly give some real insights into the guy, he seems a very engaging and compassionate individual ...
We really watched two+ hours of zone 2 training
Alberto, absolute freak! Look at the passion.
Grand Tour stage racing for you...sometimes rhe stage is one for recovery and not exertion.
Well done to the breakaway for sussing out the day and taking the honors.
recovery from what? the flat stages? It's a flat stage tomorrow, they must have been recovering today so they can make a big gc push tomorrow lol.
@@fireblade2681 "recovery" for whats to come.
It goes to show how hard it is without doping. Bring back the long range raids, let them take what they want! (I am kidding, but racing used to be far more interesting when they were doped)
@@timb8095 they still dope... they have bio passport now so they can't have 60% hematocrit level like athletes in the past. so now they adhere to wada's micro doping standard or they just get TUE.
@@sudsehun76 they do, but not the rocket fuel they used to get away with. Havenât heard any stories lately of riders having to get up during the night to do exercises so they didnât have a heart attack due to their blood being so thick.
Brasil đ§đ· ligado no giro de ItĂĄlia đźđč
Barbecue is the big winner for me. It is not just about racing but enjoyment as well..đ
What a great vid. Thank you!
On sunday TT Remco making additional 50sec to others. And then until last week again sleepy stages.
Heâll make more than 1 minute to the rest trust me.
Rumour has it that Alberto is still cheering! đđâ€
Contador just about lost his shit watching his team win.
Corratec!!! đ
Where on earth is Thomas going to find a minute on Remco?
Dr. Freeman currently looking for it for him...
I as a casual rider canât fathom the 35kmh average with negative 2000 vertical meters
What a sleeper of a stage đŽ
In the wise words of a long forgotten sage, "shit happens". Clearly the GC principals wanted a rest day of sorts
Cycling needs to change it's business model. But don't be sad, the spring classics are only 10 months away.
great this was hard race in mts
Like watching a sportive. Scenery good as always at least.
As if it's not valid if a "name" doesn't win?! I saw a well deserved victory, so I ask you kindly, how is a name made in this sport?
great end of the comment indeed! no capuccino after eleven!!!!!!! :D
Was that a race, or just some dudes out for a bike ride?
The most exciting thing about the stage was Contador's reaction.
No one attacking in the peleton. Dissapointing.
How can a summit finish have no attacks from the likes of Roglic? Was this a rest day?
Not steep enough
PrimoĆŸ Will attack,dobr worry!
Remco Will cry!
i mean the whole field was still there with 3k to go im not sure what you want them to do lol, also just about every gc leader was involved in a crash so no one really felt good today
â@@romanbozic5297 yeahhhh well we are all still waiting aren't we ? Evenepoel will again be in demolition mode on Sunday đ§đȘ
cuz they loaded this Giro with stupid ITTs.
That guy wearing pink knows how to hype the crowd.
How can I get GCN plus to watch the live broadcast in totality?
Contador still in the mix, Pantani still cited as a stage winner even though he was disqualified. Armstrong shunned. đĄ
All sports are full of doping these days and it's gonna get worse while technology advances. Some are caught but most aren't. So...
euro cyclist announcers are the best!
Despite of the snowy moutain climbs the Italian run cyclist Davide Bais winns this difficult hard stage, while the norvegian Abreas Leknessund maintains his pink jersey! đđđđ”đźđžđ·đŒđ»đčđșâźâŻđłâđ!
Celentano senza amore đ
Days are gone of the big attack. Everyone at similar level.
Profoundly disappointing stage. Good on the intrepid 3 but a sleepy peloton gave them a present.
I fell asleep in front of my TV... What a bad stage.
Last week will be the one to watch. No need to kill your legs early on.
Luckily I have 3 broken vertebrea, otherwise I wouldve wanted my time back. I cant remember a more boring mountain stage during a grand tour.
Come on guys. I know the stage played out boring overall, but in 219km of all those guys riding, there had to be something slightly interesting you could show us.
đ€đŽ early christmas present for Bais!
Must be the 3 week underwhelming.
Training vacation?!
Scenery was the only highlight.
Would love to see this be 2-4x longer
Hey, we're limited with the amount we can show on YT. However, we have extended highlights plus full replays available on GCN+ đ gcn.eu/Giro2023
that's why I watch Chris Horner's commentary right after.
@@jorgechang7595 yeah I like his breakdowns they are about as good as you can get
Come on IGD lets see some racing
Yeah, this'll bring the crowds in.... I thought it was meant to be a race?
Almeidaaaaaaaa
Tao is still my dark horse.
He looked really strong yesterday!
@@gcnracing I am rooting for Tao. But he has to do a proper TT today in order to keep in the top. we'll see
een slaapverwekkende vertoning
big day

I really dislike that liquid pink 3d map graphic thing đ
Meno i primi 3 Vergogna per tutti soprattutto per il 4 e il 5
A boring mountain stage of the giro d'italia. Luckely another italian thing made my day: tortellini ricotta with tomato sauce.
There were no highlights. It was crap.
Contador disagrees :D
@@tychoMX Contador was the highlight of this stage
Am I the only one completely confused by the commentator.
"0 pro wins between the final 3 breakaway riders."
Once bais won he then said "2nd stage win in 3 attempts at the giro."
Huh?
2nd in 3 attempts for eolo would be my guess. They also talked about zoncolan(also won by an Italian climber on eolo whose name I forget)
@@amitkale4624 Yeah he transfers to Eolo's wins at Giro, Fortunato won the first stage for them on Zoncolan in 2021.
Any highlights of the daily Cavendish crash?
Letâs see your list of honours
â@@gazza3623 chill
No Pog, no fun!
glad i didnt watch this live lol
overviews are too short
2 mins just skipping all the essential moments
Hey, we also have extended highlights and full replays (plus each stage live) over on GCN+ đ gcn.eu/Giro2023
Didnât share any of the work in the last kilometre. I would have been fuming if i was the other two.
Awesome win! đ
Thank you, and good morning from the salt lake somewhere in the outback.
I fell asleep.
It wasn't the most entertaining stage, luckily yesterday's racing made up for it!
Oh wow what a disappointing stage
hardly lives up to the name highlights
I watched the thing live and i literally fell asleep with 3 k to go. That is how boring it was.
It was a bit dull! Luckily yesterday's stage made up for it with some great racing.
Dull stage
Highlights? Are you joking?
Worst mountain stage in grand tours I can remember!!
how boring was that???
Why, why, why would you tell us that "the breakaway were given the stage" before it even happens in the video?
Just woke up
What happened
đ„±đ„±đ„±đ„±â ïžđđ„
Snoozefest of a stage
I hope Evenepoel burns out showing off.
Why would you tell us the breakaway won the stage less that halfway through the videos?
Did you forget that we watch racing for the vicarious thrill of competition? đ€Šđ»ââïž
Boring as hell. I switched to Tom & Jerry - well that's entertaining !! đđ
Pretty disappointing with how uneventful this stage was. I feel like the Giro is just not getting the respect it deserves. This would never happen in the Tour.
Spoiler alert - there were no highlights. Zzzzzzzzzzz.
Vlasov Ăš settimo ed Ăš russo. Mettete la bandiera e smettetela con questo politicamente corretto, che Ăš scorrettissimo.
can't believe the pink jersey contenders just pissed this day away
One of the most boring mountain gc stage in recent memories
It wasn't the most entertaining - luckily yesterday's stage was much more exciting!
One of the worst days of cycling i ever watched, terrible display
Boring stages and bad strategies so far, this Giro is trash.
Tour of Hungary is more interesting.
Also, give the rights to our champ, Lanterne Rouge, he's the only one to produce good race analyses.
By that point he is the only one that can make this Giro mildly exciting.
Terribly boring. The only amazing thing was the magnificent landscape with the mountains and snow.
Is it just me or does the pink route animation look like a sperm running wild through the Italian countryside?
Can anyone recommend somewhere to get highlights without a plonker doing fake accents constantly?
The Giro definitely lost a ton of interest, no use in tuning in live at this point. Still hope the dog is OK that tripped up the pelotonâs crybaby. I think that update was more interesting.
yawn
boring
After the waste of time that was today I think I'll give tomorrow a skip ... What a boring stage!
This is why the Giro is trash tier compared to the Tour de France. You won't see mountain stages like this at the tour
Read&learn. Generally talking at Tour de France you see longer horse ctg mountains stages but having a lesser steady gradient than at Giro, that's traditionally about the two most important stages races of UCI. And you will never, never see a mountain stage at Tour on 1st week. The only trash is only the usual massive amount of biased bs who you and your fellows post in these big cycling events playing the typical role of internet " experts " of road cycling, which every time seems mandatory when it comes to american-anglo typers.....
"...that you and your fellows.. " , correction in there
@@carlobrotto7132 What is La planche des Belles Filles then? A first week short and steep mountain stage, so you have actually no idea what you are talking about.
You're triggered because you're italian, do you understand how pathetic that is?
The Giro is at the same level as the Vuelta, both are significantly behind the Tour de France. Shit stages like today just don't happen at the Tour de France, because the Tour means too much.
And btw, im german, and i've ridden the passo dello stelvio, passo giovo etc. Beautiful country, but that doesn't change the fact, that the giro is trash compared to the tour de france.
Im sure more people would watch GCN if they sacked Rob Hatch...
wdym Rob is great
Hope Remco takes the next time trial with 1 minute or more ahead of the other GC riders.
A barbeque AND snow? What could be better?!? đ
