On first listen I thought this was a lit heavy to listen to, having been used to the TV version, but after a few listens, the tribal chanting fits perfectly and I prefer that above the 'military' aspect, even though the drums have this chilling power when added to the visuals of the opening. The theming was on point in this season, the crates, the canteens, etc. Love it and the cast. Also I love to say 'Janu wins individual immunity for the fourth straight time' randomly.
I remember hearing this intro for the first time and being so amazed. Especially that opening segment, with the visuals of the underwater wreckage. Super cool, and love it or hate it, a very interesting season.

Truly one of the seasons of Survivor.
this along with Guatemala, Fiji, and Thailand are my favorite ancient voices.
