He selects his venues very carefully. either those who are too inexperienced to call his bluff/b$ing, or as in the case of TJD, he relies on the beneficence or sense of justice of the interviewer. In other situations, he always has his "posse" with him for coordinated attacks against isolated people.. such as when he and his boss Sushant ganged up on Ankit Shah, or when with his fellow atheist gang ganged up on JSD.
i stated stalinist because he is very much in favor of state intervention to establish order eg, against any rowdy hindus who do not fall in line. This has been true since the russian/chinese revolutions. In china, the west regrouped as marxists after the methodists/presbyterians were defeated by the Boxers (Mao went to yale divinity school in china), and the marxists when they came to power initiated the cultural revolution. The economics theorizing of the marxists is mostly to recruit disgruntled elements, provide a smokescreen for their cultural agenda, impoverish the nation to make foreign intervention including conversion easier, and redirect native idealists into a controlled opposition and turn them against their own culture, blaming their own culture as feudal/regressive etc (basically falsely projecting european churchian history onto india/china, etc). Also: the essence of marxism is so called positivism which portrays a halycon westernized/technicized future designed to appeal to youths. This itself is another colonial ruse much like christians pretending to have a monopoly on morality, merely because they have a few constructs useful in moral grandstanding and extortion. In some ways he is like the capitalist friendly marxists one sees in china.
Still, more than a marxist, he is a fascist. Not only in terms of his elitism and western corporatism, and also his open support of the western fascist historical self perception of AIT, where the west is projected as a savior for Indians. In this vein, he just regurgitates the western neo right. His unabashed and undisguised western philia signals that he does this specifically from a western fascist perspective as opposed to a marxist perspective. The marxist usually hide their western sympathies, being true foreign proxies. While iyer functions more as an agent provocateur trying to goad the Hindu natives into a corner...
Thus, he is an agent provocateur foil to the marxist and is probably tasked with engendering a fake west controlled "right wing" to replace the hindu intelligentsia. another controlled opposition.
He is probably privy to some low classifed western intelligence which they dump on him so that he can appear knowledgeable. of course, being a lowly sepoy, they don't trust him the real stuff. Still, he gets most of his "insights" straight from wikipedia. When he made commentary on riots in SA, I checked line-for-line. It was a direct match and even then he fabricated/embellished some salacious details about shaka zulu. He just cannot help confabulating and inserting innuendo, being a gossip at heart! When asked about the cause of the riots, he proffered some readymade B$ answer about "wokism", which many scoffed at, but of course he relies on a short memory of the public and the fewness of his detractors. Most informed commentators are wary of his viciousness, so few will engage against him. Most opposite commentary also gets deleted by risk averse channels.
he was trotted out in some western NPT conference and again he appeared on argumentative indians alongside his western handlers. before that his biography reads like a privileged brown sahib: son of 2 IAS officers, education at Monash uni in Aus where he worked as a counselor to muslim students, then did a plush masters(?) at a western NPT institute (Stimson Center) and then parachuted into the "RW" by pulling a stunt at Konark temple. He is now a fellow at Inst. of peace conflict studies, a western NGO.
His defense analysis is all wrong. He said some thing like IN does not have deep sea capability and IN had to redirect an aircraft carrier to prove him wrong. He was completely against defense indigenization including Tejas. And it is well known how wrong he was on afghanistan and ukraine. He also became a declinist overnight during ukraine whereas before he was drunk over the greatness of the west even saying that the west treats india well.
As part of his RW cover, he is able to make some hindu interest points, but again that is just a cover for his mercenary grift and subversion.
He lacks creativity. He just regurgitates the mainstream western view but says it so vulgarly that the listener becomes transfixed. This is a shock and awe tactic and also disguises his agenda.
His first loyalty is to the british crown. That was clear when their so called queen died.
Entitled and arrogant, he is certainly not used to being questioned by unwashed hindus and lashes violently out whenever this happens.
He is also running toolkit eg, his tantrum on "caste" when Ram Mandir was happening. But again he does this from a western RW perspective rather than a marxist one because inately he is more fascist oriented. Mr. Abhijeet is certainly quite knowledgeable, rational and humorous guy and I agree with most of what he explains, and got to know many things about the world history and geopolitics from his views but I clearly differ with what he say about Shri Ram. Was Shri Ram realy a victorious person, though He won against ravan?? It is not about victory / losses. Had ravanaya been written / recorded, it clearly and most certainly wouldn't survive for so many sons and generations.
