Hey Joe. We met in Toronto in 1995 when I was a little kid. I played frisbee with you, Stu and Jonathan in the parking lot at The Warehouse. Big Wreck opened up the show for you before their first record came out. I just wanted to say that all of this guitar combination stuff is great and you've highlighted some fantastic players over the years, especially artists who are deserving of more attention. You're a righteous man.
When you come to my hometown of Kitchener-Waterloo, I'd love to hang out and make some music with you in my home studio, if you have time. You've been a good influence and teacher from afar. Thank you Joe.

Watched them both in Denver a couple nights ago, been playing my whole life as well, metal, blues and classical. Satriani hands down took the show. Vai is owned by his pedal board and feedback, insulting to real musicians. I like Vai, but man come on. Hitting open strings on a 5 neck guitar saturated in delay and chorus means nothing. I went in thinking Vai would take the night. Not the case. Joe was tight, great sound and did not do too much effects. Honesty, walked out thinking I could give them both a run for their money.

Metallica is a legendary band. No need for your hate. Kirk Hammett is responsible for some of the most memorable riffing ever, and Satch & Vai recognize that fact
