I don't know about the dude they woke up. He was ok at first, he didn't punch that cop in the face, that was just his hand. I think he was startled on top of being drunk. Obviously not a good mix.
That guy was totally trashed and pissed off because he's not going to drive home that night. A friend of mine got drunk and pulled into a parking lot and fell asleep. Car was off for at least a couple of hours. Cops banged on the window and woke him. I didn't know you can get DUI if he wasn't actually driving. He got sent to jail. He got a DUI charge just like he would have had he been driving.

The dude drinking in front of the the stores… clearly drunk. But right before he walked away, the cop said he wasn’t breaking any laws. He continued to pursue him on a self designated consensual encounter. Then when put hands on another man, he gets salty.
I really hope that one day, somebody, somewhere...will be able to explain to me why people don't lose their licences for drunk driving. It's treating driving as some sort of human right. It's not. There should be zero tolerance. 0 alcohol, and if you get caught with any alcohol in your system, you lose your licence. Simple, clear & effective. I really fail to see why it's accepted as an ok thing to do, some minor little mistake that doesn't really warrant any significant punishment or consequences.
