I agree HxC, Aurora doing Aurora things is magical 🤩. The interview by Stern that goes along this performance is what solidified me as a fan of Aurora. Her idea to have a cannon shoot moths and dead bugs onto the audience while they are looking up with their mouths open just to amuse herself is epic fuckery at it's finest 🤣.

I learned about Aurora through this cover, years and years ago. Always kept it on my playlist. She did this cover originally for thr HBO comedy tv show “Girls”. It is only through you that I met her other music. So thank you!

As a testament to the authenticity of her performances, this was for a radio show that would be mostly heard but not seen, and she still went through all the hand movements as a means of being in the song. Aurora is 100% pure beauty and she truly transports me to a higher level every time I hear her sing.
Maybe it's like Joe Cocker where he would just move his arms automatically so he could sing.
Some people have just "Got It", whatever IT is. Aurora got a double share.

She was actually on Stern for a hole hour. They talked about dead bugs and other weird things...LOL It was a great interview and I listen to it back then. I've tried unsuccessfully to find it online later, so if someone got a link for it it will be highly appreciated.
I've been trying to find that interview as well with no luck. Aurora seemed to be somewhat distant while she was talking. Did Howard say anything stupid or offensive just prior to this clip that may have upset her? Let me know if ever find it.

What you were talking about from frozen 2. The performance was at the Oscar ceremony. I have the assumption Aurora was not worthy to be on stage in their eyes because of her golden sneakers and the "cheap outfit". That was an impudence to park her in the back of the stairs where one could hardly see her.
She only sang the nordwind, but later covered the whole song and it's better than the original.
Although you can't speak of a cover. Because the song came out at the same time in many languages with correspondingly different singers. The only constant was always Aurora, it was in every version the north wind. So it's actually her song, if you will. She covered her own song and went from backround singer to leadsinger, so to speak

I have a hard time watching the Oscar performance. Broadway veteran Idina Menzel is all over the place with the tempo and the singers from other countries struggle too. One singer nails all her parts, poor Aurora back on the stairs….
The original song is also used as a leader tune for the TV series "Life on Mars" The original British series is much better than the later US version. The TV series is about a police inspector who thinks he traveled back in time, highly recommended to watch it, it is a fun to watch but also full of the music from the era's which the episodes are about. There were 2 seasons and later a follow up with the name "Ashes to Ashes" where another inspector goes back in time to the same police station about 10 years later than in "Life on Mars" and also a lot of music is played from that era.
Do the next Jarkko Ahola doing this song, quite different, but both so good.
