If the cold moon shimmers weren’t so glittery I probably would have bought that one. I love those more muted colors with a more satin finish. I’m in my 50s and I really don’t wear glittery things it just doesn’t feel the same as when young. Some of these Indie brand prices. No ma’am. I’ll let you take the hit and report back 😆
I live in the US and I actually love the Ensley Reign formula. I would honestly choose Ensley Reign over Pat McGrath any day.
Ensley Reign gets so much grief for their price point but when you compare price per shadown its usuallt cheaper than a lot of other indie brands. That being said, I love all 3 of the palettes I have from them. You're making me consider land of enchantment.
That Wizard palette is breathtaking, I believe it will be my first Fantasy Cosmetica order. As far as ER goes, I might try them when they stop using AI, I just can not get over the fact that they are charging so much for one palette and all they are willing to spend on the artwork is 10$ monthly subscription for AI generator.
Not sure they will stop any time soon. There are so many brands that simply buy their designs off generic websites. Most indie brands start out that way and only start paying artists until they take off.
Interested to see your thoughts on cold moon. I thought I would like it more than lands of enchantments but I like lands more
I'm waiting for Cold Moon to arrive, look forward to your review on it.
I am very much looking forward to trying it.
Great choices, I’m waiting for smaller palettes from ensley reign x
Not sure they will do that any time soon. The trend seems to be big palettes.
@FloatinginDreams they said they'd be bringing out a smaller palette this year. Not a curated cold moon liked I'd hoped when I asked.
The price of Ensley Reign puts me off especially when I don't know if I'll love the formula. I don't usually spend that much on one palette, ND is the exception to that rule
Forget ND, it's more like PmG for these if you are in Europe.
Good to know, also love the wizard palette (the packaging is awesome) 💜 I prefer to buy in shops and brands from my region (Belgium or neighboring countries) to support them, but even brands from other countries can be good but i will buy if it is here in shops. It is a bit sad to use ai for their packaging when artists can do a wonderfull job (i had doubt about the palette first before you said that it is ai), they lose their job when ai is a combination of all the existing arts (from even current artists), ai can be a great tool but i prefer to pay makeup with an actual artist that had make the design
Not sure how it stands in Belgium, but NL doesn't have that many brands so I would not have that much to try if I just stock to what I can buy locally.
@@FloatinginDreams yes of course, i don't think there are so much belgian brands for makeup either but i do it for clothes, and mostly in shops. You can still shop online xD
All 3 of these palettes are gorgeous!
I look forward to your review of these.
I just received my Groovy Garden palette from Ensley Reign and it is stunning! It pairs perfectly with Harvest Moon.
Thanks! I am looking forward to trying it.
I bought the Cold Moon and I love the shimmers. They are very sparkly and I have never had holochromes. I also bought Lands of Enchantment. That one hasn’t arrived yet. The mattes are very easy to blend. I can’t wait to hear your thoughts.
I hope I love it as much as you do.
Oooh, I'm super curious about your opinion on these palettes - I love how Cold Moon looks, but between AI art, the prices and the brand overall giving me weird vibes, I decided to skip it for now. Also, I've noticed that some of the shades have warm shifts and I'm not a fan of that. However I enjoy watching the reviews - the palette might not be for me, but it's still very pretty (same for the Lands of Enchantment).
When it comes to recommendations, I think that you might like some newer palettes from Unearthly, like Dreamer or Sorcerous Smoke. Also, there is new 18 pan Byredo coming out and it's super pretty, but I don’t know the quality as I'm still waiting for mine to be shipped.
Same here, I was so close to buying Cold Moon, but the use of AI and their way of handling criticsm… also I am really not sure if I would like the metallics with the bigger particles in them (giving me glitter vibes)
I am not sure what vibes the brand gives off. I try to stay away from beauty communicty drama as much as possible. I have the Unearthly Fall Magic which was the predecessor for part of Sorcerous Smokey. Dreamer looked interesting but I know I wouldn't use half of it. I already own 5 palettes by the brand so I am not really interested in anything else they do unless they do something that truly stands out to me. They have also gotten a lot more expensive since I started trying them and am not sure I still find them worth the price point.
I’m curious to see your thoughts. I too have hooded eyes and want to be sure before I invest in Ensley rain
I always double prime or use a glitter primer if need be. No matter your eye shape, the way you apply shadow and prime your lids is what will give you longlasting shadows.
Looking forward to see how you feel about the Ensley Reign. All 3 are not really my preferred colour story. I bought the new Nomad palette cause I'm a sucker for a good green palette.
I am very curious too try them out. I hope they are worth the hype.
Are you getting the Unearthly Dreamer? I saw that and thought of you!
No not currently thinking of buying that one as I already own 5 palettes by the brand.
I think Ensley Reign is way too expensive in euros or dollars
Yes they are expensive which is why I want to see if they are worth it.
Could you do a comparison swatch between cold moon and lands of enchantment?
I wanted the cold moon but that was sold out on monolith, so I bought lands of enchantment. Cause I liked both color stories. I am wondering how similar the shimmers in both palettes are. I can see a difference in mattes but the shimmers I don't know. Some look very similar.
P.s. some pat mc grath shades are gritty too. With a glitter glue it could have good staying power. Emollient shadows can crease easily.
They are nothing alike. Cold Moon is neutral. Enchantment is pastels. Very different color story. And I haven't tried any PmG shadows that are gritty. Mine are all smooth.
@@FloatinginDreams do you think the shimmers from both palletes are very different too? Or are there some similar to one another? The mattes are definitely neutral vs pastel like you said.
About the pat McGrath shadows..I think I don't mean gritty but more of a dry formula for the special shadows. I know gritty and dry are two different things 🫣☺️
Cold Moon has more shifts. All are multichrome or holochrome save for maybe 2 shades. Enchantment has more regular shimmers and metallics and some duochromes. So yes different shimmers too.
@@FloatinginDreams thanks!! ☺️
